- The day started off with us catching some really big fish from our kayaks, but ended with us having to evacuate the spot due to some super sketchy activity. We still don't know what was going on, but are glad that we got out of potential harms way. I would have left too when I heard shots fired. I hope you can go back and catch some bigger ones. That one bass that Jay caught was stout. Probably 14 to 15 inches but the girth on that fish was massive. Way to go, Jay
The fishing was exciting enough, didn't have to add the shooting. I would have left too. Love watching you guys fishing together. It gives me hope that there are still good people in this crazy world.

My son would of loved to fish with you two and go frogging. One day I took out a package of chicken to thaw for dinner and opened it to find frog legs! My son was about 16 then. He passed away in April from cancer. He was 49. His nick name was “Big Fish”. So happy to find your channel🥰

I used to work at a similar place. They have many “force on force” drills using dummy rounds. Very likely one of the safest places to be fishing.

I've fished that place several times. It's insane the number of baitfish that move in there when the water gets cold. I've caught a lot of stripers in there but not that quality. Lot of good yellow bass move up too, they are fantastic eating. Great catches guys.

Epic striper fishin' missions this year..top of the cycle,y'all slaying'em..!! Keep going if you can, GREAT exercise,GREAT eatin' and y'all just might hook into the twenty pounder before the run is over. Be sure of what heavy metals or contamination those stripes may or may not have before Mom to be eats very many of them. Those ninja suited fellows just wanted a little face-time on the youtube!

What you experienced is an exercise at the plant. Every so often scenarios are developed to try and see if the security of the plant is strong. The guns are electronic and they are shooting at people with vest on to see how they perform. It is sorta like Laser Tag!

Years ago I was in a little aluminum boat off the coast of Vancouver Island . We went in to a wharf where I had hung a bucket of perch to use as Cod Bait. Suddenly there was the sound of a .22 being shot from up the hill from the shore and a bunch of Crows flew up, I'm assuming some idiot in the subdivision was shooting at them, but his bullets were buzzing all around us, very close! It is a terrible feeling to be in a slow boat trying to get out of the area that the bullets were travelling and I wished I could have found the guy and pointed out the stupidity of his actions! Waiting for something to hit you in the back was not fun!
It sure seemed like it! That thing was huge! Imagine if it was a 20” fish 😲 We can’t wait to take our little man fishing!!!

I am getting fishing fever.....here in Ohio we still have a month or so before it gets warm enough to head out to the ponds and lakes. This year I have 3 new fishing buddies....the neighbor kids (girl, age 7, and boy, age 5) and their cousin (girl, age 7). The boy has been asking his mom "Is it Spring yet?", "When will it be Spring?" He is so anxious to head out with his "uncle" and catch a bunch of biggins! I just bought the three of them their first fishing hats and am looking for kid sized polarized sunglasses for them. I am looking more forward to watching the kids catch fish than I am in catching fish myself.

I used to live in Los Angeles and hearing gunshots at night was very common. After my two next-door neighbors were bot shot to death I got the hell out of that place.

Here in California when I fish the California aqueduct whe the striped bass are popping up at the top of the water like that we call it a boil and I always throw a top water bait obviously what you guys are doing is working but when you see them striped bass popping up on top throw a top water bait it is really exciting when they strike God bless and keep those lines tight ✌
