The way I did it was I sprayed expanding foam into the openings first, and then shoved the steel wool in after it. Then I sprayed expanding foam behind the steel wool. I heard scratching inside the walls so my guess is a mouse is trying to get through the foam, bites into the steel wool and hurts itself, stops, tries again, hurts itself, stops, and eventually will give up.
I live in apartments and hear noises in my wall thru out the day and night. I'm on the 2nd floor and walls are mostly like filled with insulation since the other side is outside. Any ideas?
I wish you were located by me! I have hired 3 different pest control companies and not one of them have gotten rid of my mice/rats. I'm not sure which. It's to the point I can't sleep because the mice are so active in my walls. I moved into this home 2 years ago and I believe they were there when I moved in. I have learned so much watching your videos. I wish you could train some of the companies here in Mississippi! All they want to do is take your money. The last two companies just wanted to talk about replacing the insulation in my attic. If you ever come to Mississippi, please let me know!
I have to say good job... You solved the rat issue, I would have done it a little different, but after watching the video, the end result would have been the same. When I first meet the client, one of my first questions is, show me the spot you are hearing the noise, in this case it was in a bathroom wall, I then would ask the customer if they did a remodel or had any work done on the sewer system, drill a small hole in the wall behind the toilet and under the sink, then run a smoke test. If smoke is detected then I would have the customer call out a plumber to fix the issue.

Clever solutions and a great video! At my mother's house we installed a rodents flapper on the main sewer line, right before leaving the property. It presumably blocks their entry, very similar to a driers vents. The issue was some rats were trying to get in via a toilet that is seldom used. What do you think of these flappers?
Backfow valves are great. If you do have a aggressive rodent issue, they can chew there way back through. Apply some flex seal paste on surface to help prevent this.

I’ve been off if work for 13 days with covid! I’m heading back tomorrow BUT I just got a text message for us all to meet at a motel tomorrow for work! The exterminator is going to the house! What I find so silly is that the back door has to stay open all day until about 9 pm because a client has to have access to the outside fenced patio. So I can’t see any sense in exterminating when it will never be completed. I’m sure that it is more for just doing something rather than nothing. I’ve seen two mice in the last three months so I think they are just coming and going. And the house is right next to a three acre park. Anyway such an inconvenience to the clients. I just wonder if exterminating will do anything at all? The door must remain open unless client is asleep. He was one of many put away in the OSH years ago as a baby. I’m happy he has free access to outside now. It’s his only joy. I’m not sure how happy he will be in a motel for a couple of nights. Well, if you wouldn’t mind responding with your opinion that would be great. Thanks for your videos you guys really know what you are doing.

Hi Twins, where are you located? I'm so ready to tear my ceiling down and/or rip out the wood in my attic to get rid of whatever is in my walls. I have no idea how whatever is in my ceilings are surviving. It's been about 3mos now and I'm at my wits end. They seem to scratch when I'm about to sleep or at 3am/4am in the morning. I really can't take it anymore. I thought it would go away. I sprinkled rat poison (green balls) up there. I sprinkled Rid All and it is still happening. Now that it's gotten colder. I turned on the heater the other night. It smelled like animal urine. I quickly shut off the heater and have been freezing these last few days. I just went up to the attic, pulled the pink blown insulation back, put more of the Rid All under the insulation. I just don't know what to do, besides getting an axe and tearing up my ceilings. I don't like insects, roaches, rats, squirrels, possums, pest of any kind, but i'm ready to tear the walls open. I need them out of my house...Any/all help is needed...
I have a question? We found out we had rat activity in our basement. We got rid of them. We had food stored in totes with lids. The got in there, and chewed things in card board or bags. We disposed all of that, are the can goods , plastic jars, glass jars still useable. There are no chew marks on them, but they have walked all over them.

My house as had mice for many years and I live on a farm. Just about last week, in a few days me, my cat and dog together got rid of 30+ mice. Still have more, but don't seem them much now. For rats we didn't have any, but one rat took a ride in my grandmas van, and it was only one. Not knowing it was a pregnant female. Last week I shoot one out side, then trapped 2 more yesterday, with still seeing some today
@@TwinHomeExperts No problem. So far I still got the holes around my house. Took care of one hole and patched it all up, but then I have a missive hole next to my toilet. Mix equal parts Jiffy cornbread mix and baking soda. Dont add water. Set in containers against walls where youve seen them. They normally have trails they use over again. Save money on exterminators ,traps, boards, etc.
Won’t they die in the wall :(
These guys are awesome great dudes honest straight to the point detailed work no bullshit just spectacular much love too these guys
I kept waiting for the home owner to add an extra mask after each scene.
Oh.
Can you recommend anyone in the UK as I've had a rat problem for over a year now. I've tried my local council, my sewer company, talking to my neighbours and nothing seems to be working.
I think I have a dead rat in my wall how do I find and get rid of it plus what is the smell like do you guys know and I have no idea what to look for in my attic
Where are you guys located? I have a really bad infestation at my house..
We travel all over, but we have offices in California, Utah and Arizona. Email us at support@twinhomeexperts.com
Awesome I'm in Joliet Illinois
I have something in my wall
I put traps around what else can I do
You have to find how there getting in and seal that up! Then trap will work like magic.
Good job twins I've been fighting rats my self and with the help of olive my beautiful pitt shes been killing them with me. They even went inside my el camino and just ruin the interior and engine.
They got in my hubby’s Toyota Tundra and destroyed all the electrical wiring. Cost him $$$$ to get it fixed!
@@carollivengood5472 sucks ! I hate them rats 🐀 but i went on ebay and bought me too rat and mouse Rat station and so far is going well i havent seen any in months . I just make sure to keep the stations full with great wonderful food for them they are welcome to eat it all.
Come to BC, Canada please!
Could do with these guys in the UK, fabulous work,,,
I have a question? We found out we had rat activity in our basement. We got rid of them. We had food stored in totes with lids. The got in there, and chewed things in card board or bags. We disposed all of that, are the can goods , plastic jars, glass jars still useable. There are no chew marks on them, but they have walked all over them.
What was your question?
@@onedeep160 are the can goods still good? Can they be washed? The walked on them.
@@candacedevers436 just washed them out with soap and hot water
How do I get someone in my area like this?

Dave and Jim! Hi, I've write in on comments about your location I think one reply said your in Santa Clara. Do you come out to Ventura county?! IDK and not sure what's going on around my house on what I have but hear lots of noise! And need help have TRYED everything !! I'd like to get answers from one of you on prices?! 1st for inspection! Maybe go from there! I really like your work!!! From what I see especially compared to what I've had come out!!!!
Do you come to s.c?
The differencd btween you guys and the others is this. Your NOT LAZY ! You have to find the point of entry in order to seek, locate, and terminate the enemy. I never thought i would enjoy watching videos on rat extermination. When you walk into a infestation do you say to each other " thats the smell of money". Lol
I need you guys!!! 😫. But I’m in Solvang! 🤦🏼♀️
How do I get in contact with you.
Amazing... Absolutely Amazing‼️
How much does this inspection and extermination cost?
How is it with having septic No rodent can come up my toilets I believe I just got taken from 911 wildfire as they had charged me 800 telling me i had squirrels now I am doubting as I see droppings in the garage and under ond kitchen cabinet
my thoughts are I wish you were in Syracuse New York
Why is Dave wearing broken glasses around his neck at the end of the video?
They're a type of glasses that clip together at the nose bridge
that's a good tip rodents are incontenant and the smell of urine is a good clue to there occupancy before you. see or hear them
It's a nasty smell, even air freshener doesn't cover it
Awesome work
Wish you guys were on the east side of the USA.
It's great how you believe in those mask but also believe that your child doesn't need one. Makes sense.
I have a rat problem, can you help?
What would this family do with out you 😊
Wish y’all was in sc 🥺
My house as had mice for many years and I live on a farm. Just about last week, in a few days me, my cat and dog together got rid of 30+ mice. Still have more, but don't seem them much now. For rats we didn't have any, but one rat took a ride in my grandmas van, and it was only one. Not knowing it was a pregnant female. Last week I shoot one out side, then trapped 2 more yesterday, with still seeing some today
Hello Fox! Looks like your well equipped to take them on. 😊 thank you for sharing.
@@TwinHomeExperts No problem. So far I still got the holes around my house. Took care of one hole and patched it all up, but then I have a missive hole next to my toilet. No rat droppings though from what i see in the hole that's around a foot big. So the rats are mainly hanging under my house, under the bath tub or in the trashcans out side. This is in a mobile home as well.
Could y'all come to Virginia? These other companies suck!
well done lads
Cheers!!
How about possums?
looks like termite damage at 5:55.
It makes me so nervous whenever I see you walking on the roof.
Get these boys a tv channel
Do you guys have a branch in NY?
We don’t. We should because we get a lot of requests. We do have a FaceTime or phone consultation offer that can help a lot. If your in need of this go to winwithetwins.com to set up a call with one of the twins to help you.

I live in Hawaii an love you show I’m fighting rats on a Lava tube I have single walls in my home it’s much easier
I’m in NZ..I got a lot of trouble by mice droppings around my household and everything. It annoys the hell out of me and my family 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
We have the same problem. We are in Australia. We’ve been using mouse traps that are basically a wire cage with a hole in the top Mice can get into the trap through the hole but can’t get out. We’ve been putting bird seed in as bait. Some nights the traps are so full of mice that no more could get in. We buy these traps at our local produce. Hope this helps you all Amanda.
@@kathleenrayner1234 aww poor thing..hope everything goes well with you..it also better for the cats to kill them all too
Amanda Kisah Tauti. Thank you. Yes cats would be a help. However I have kelpies that would drive a cat nuts 😂. I have little dogs too that kill mice , though they can’t help with mice in the walls. Life is good though when so many people are doing it so rough. 💕💕💕💕💕💕
@@kathleenrayner1234 you’re welcome anytime
Haha they don’t like sodium hydroxide (Lye)
I would like being bathed in caustic burning either.
This poor guy. Glad you guys care enough to solve these things. More than just a cash grab

We Appreciate your feedback.
Plumbing/carpentry/roofing/electric/extermination combo, and then some, just some skills as hedges against a downturn in economy.
