Wow...I learned a lot from watching how you use certain functions of Maschine hardware I did not know could be done. Like the tuning of sounds and turning up/down volume on a group or even how to automate fx parameters. You were great bruh...thanks!
Bro.. the sounds you use on the intro and ending this video is on fire. those are the dope sounds I be looking for.. but damn man, by the time I scroll thru all the kits and sound on the Maschine, and find something close to what I want.. I have already lost the beat in my freakin head. but I love those sounds, Low.
Love it. Question. I load a kit in A. Create a multi pad pattern. Load a different kit into B. Record a new pad. Records in a new seperate scene... rather than over and part of my A pattern. Help!
Great and helpful tutorial. I just recently got into music production and after watching lots of video to see if i wanted to use a DAW or Maschine, i purchased Maschine. I love everything about it but I don't understand the drums. I don't know exactly what snares, hi-hats, kicks, etc are, and where I'm supposed to put them in my beats. Do you think you can make a video explaining what each drum sound is and how they're played?
Hey, thanks for the video idea. Sure, I can make such a video, but meanwhile I can recommend Ableton’s microsite where you can learn exactly what you want to know - learningmusic.ableton.com
Yo what’s good bro. Jus found ur channel n I Kant believe u ain’t blown up yet. Quick question: Wld u recommend buying the MK3 as a beginner producer on a budget? Been making beats for like 3 months n wanna get more serious with it. Don’t rlly have much knowledge of music theory n I enjoy sampling melodies way more than playing them so I think it might be a better investment than a cheaper sampler and a keyboard. Ppreciate the tutorials man ur killin it🤟🏼🤟🏼
Glad you're enjoying the videos! It's a tough question. It depends. You may want to get a good grip at the basics first with something cheaper or just using software before spending so much money on a MK3. It's an amazing device but you need to be aware of what you're getting into before buying. This is a great topic for a video btw, I will consider making one, and I will explain in more detail.
Drums are from the Maschine software, the other sounds are from Komplete Select which also comes for free with Maschine. Since then I’ve actually upgraded to the full Komplete 12 but in the video everything comes stock with Maschine.
As a complete newbie, I found this to be very useful ... so, thank you! Newbie question - how is the keyboard connected to machine? I mean, right now, both my machine and keyboard are connected directly to my mac. Can i just play on the keyboard like you did? Preferences?
Glad the video was useful and you liked the beat! Yes, keyboard is connected to the computer via USB and you can play any sound, maybe you need to enable it in the MIDI preferences if it’s not working right away.
I’m new at this. I want to buy this product but my roommates don’t like noise. Do you know if once I plug the mk3 controller the music will only be heard on my headphones?
Low Heat Beats Thanks for your reply! I found the mk3 fully functional for $400 cables and shipping included. It was hard to find one for that price. The description says it works well
Someone please help! When I'm browsing for sounds on the hardware and I try loading individual sounds like a kick and snare (not a drum kit) on different pads, the MK3 doesn't let me to do so unless I click out of browser, manually activate a different pad, and then click back to browser to add my sound to that pad. The MK1 and old Mikro didn't have this limitation. I could just browse sounds/samples and add those sounds to any pad I wanted. Am I missing something with the MK3?
Thanks man! I'm more used to playing stuff on the keys but I have a separate video on my channel where I use and explain the chord and scale features of the MK3.
@@LowHeatBeats nice 1 👍 Im looking to get the mk3 very soon and want good monitors Any suggestions? Not too expensive tho I like the hs8 but ive been told rokits are far better for production I currently working with reason 5 and akai mini..with b&w speakers Old shizzle right lol 🤦🏻♂️ Need to free them all up and ive watched so many vids on the mk3 Looks amazing and very creative Just not sure what speakers to go with Cheers bro 👍
It’s all about personal preference, but for budget monitors I would suggest the Kali Audio LP6 or the JBL LSR series. I like these better than HS or Rokit. You also need to figure out which size is best for your room.
@@LowHeatBeats thanks for your insight bro Im gonna shop around and have a look before i go wild and buy something i dont like or need I followed your soundcloud Great production you have Stay safe and be lucky Cheers 👌👍
It’s the Novation Bass Station 2. It’s an analog synth but I just use it as a MIDI keyboard in this video. It’s plugged directly into a USB port on my computer.
Hey, so when I open up a new scene I try and clear out one of the patterns I don’t want to play. It clears it out but when I go back to play the first scene I want it on, it’s cleared out there too. Am I doing something wrong? Appreciate the video, it’s helped me a whole lot in learning this beautiful thing 👍
Yeah, this is because it's the same pattern that's used in the first scene. There's an option in the Preferences under the Defaults tab, where you can specify that when you duplicate a Scene, the Patterns are also duplicated, so you can change them without this affecting other Scenes. Or you can just duplicate the actual pattern before clearing the notes in it. Hope that helps.
Thanks, you explains everything so well. Thanks again.
Hey, I'm glad it was useful for you man.

Thank you! I know what you mean. You can add sounds to favourites, so you don't have to look for them endlessly.
Thanks that was so helpful!! Love how you applied that compressor

@@LowHeatBeats How did you get you keyboards to play the Matrix Pad sound? Is it in the routing?
Found it in preferences
Yeah, you just need to enable your keyboard in the preferences.
That beat was nice...I LIKE!!!
Thank you so much!
Very nice explanation of how to use Maschine. I only have the Maschine Micro KM3, however, I learned a lot from you just watching that one video.
That’s great man, thank you for watching!

Love it. Question. I load a kit in A. Create a multi pad pattern. Load a different kit into B. Record a new pad. Records in a new seperate scene... rather than over and part of my A pattern. Help!
Hmm, it shouldn't be recording to a separate Scene but to a separate Group (and Pattern respectively).
Great video man. you explain the Maschine functions really well and make it very easy to understand. Keep the videos coming, you got a sub from me.
Much appreciared! Thanks for checking my videos and subscribing 🙏
Is there a way to clear filter automation on one of my synth pads, say on pattern two but keep it on pattern one?
Hmm, I’m not sure what you mean.
great start! thanks

Hold down select then hit the pad you wanna add the new drum sound to. That'll become the active pad that the sound from the browser will load to

Rokit 6 G2, but this video is from 2018 and since then I've replaced them with the Dynaudio BM5a.

Hmm not sure tbh, it might have been i-v-VI
