    I just got a MK3 a couple weeks ago. I've been loving it so far. Still learning obviously, but it really speeds up a lot of processes for me. If you are into Electronic music production and like Native Instruments products like Massive, FM8, Battery and the like I highly recommend getting a Maschine.

    9:33 I too got confused by the pads being disabled when the perform strip has NOTES mode activated. That's the default, but you can set them to be enabled: when in keyboard mode, button 4 "PADS ON" can be activated, see 7:51
    Great demonstration, really interesting to see how you can make different sounds from a single sample so easily in Maschine, and how it leads the resulting sounds to have complementary harmonic characteristics too.

Are there enough internal Devices ( EQ, Comp, etc..) to get rolling ? So I could then upgrade one day when I got used to it and have earned even some more Dollars to Komplete Ultimate?.
      Thanks very much for the cool video. You really seem to enjoy making it.
      That's the reason I turn away from Ableton to Bitwig as DAW and to MASCHINE as a Beat-making Baby. I know exactly how I will Enjoy getting lost in a Controller and feeling the Music. Sure, there is Push - but I want to get Ideas rolling Simple and Straightforward, and not only the techno-style 4x4 beats which evereyone with a push seems to be doing because ableton and push lean themselves to that kind of music ( I am an Ableton fanboy since Ableton 4 by the way). When I get lost in my Computerscreen I make Music more Visually t- but that is something I actually don't want . So it's time to get back to what got me excited in making Music when I was a teen and there were no DAWs.

    Does anyone else find their new maschine misses the first beat in every recording. It's like it doesn't sync up with the DAW in time so I have to wait til after the first beat to input, which throws off my timing.
    Then there's the hard drive that is a paperweight for komplete for Windows 10, apparently it doesnt work since the creators update, so you have to download everything.
    I like the feel of it and am improving at finger drumming, but the workflow (which I was warned about) and the daw syncing problems are making me question whether to just sell it. I wanted to also use the knobs for controlling instrument parameters but it seems very shallow and hard to map to non- NI instruments/synths

    • @dem5788
      @dem5788 7 лет назад +1

      perspective, bro.. i mean i fully get what you mean, but as a one man band this exact demo shows how u can do exactly that. it can be used the same way as a loop pedal. if u have all ur elements set up before hand ready to just press rec/play then jam it out.
      u know, get the bass going on a loop, synth. lead drums n what not.. and they may be on a 2 or 4 bar loop. then for a longer solo type thing, either record it in on a longer loop, or simply play live without recording.. and with being able to switch between diff patterns u can record them in on the fly..
      ya just do it all without stopping the play from start to end of ur "live song"..
      when it comes to wanting to come to a section where alll the layers change at the same time, i guess thats the limitations of any one man band.. guess u could have some pre-made patterns or what not.. its just imagination bro

    • @damiensimper
      @damiensimper 7 лет назад +3

      What I am referring to is a proper session view versus arrangement view in machine. Atm the arranger houses patterns and you can switch between them, but there is currently no way to record the 'live' switching of such patterns to create new arrangements, ala Ableton. This is why I keep using Maschine as a plugin to other DAW and not make full arrangments in Maschine software. Until it unlocks this functionality I believe it remains a rather restrictive groovebox.

      ah yeh. this is true.. i gues they just need to let us have the ability to slide patterns freely left n right.
      I'm an Ableton user too and the best workflow I have found is outputing maschine audio to individual audio tracks in ableton and automating the mutes with midi

      yeah exactly! which pullls me away from the Machine workflow and frustrates me a lot. I would like to be able to freeform arrange in Maschine, but can't so I use it mostly as a plug-in to Ableton instead.

      mm yeh. well, i tried just now seeing how long a single pattern can be..256 bars.. could work like that? 1 long ass pattern? haha or multiple long as patterns for diff sections?
