Haas doesn't have the capacity or the know-how to keep up with the European based teams. They get most of the stuff from Ferrari at the start of the season, that's why they start off strong, but then when left alone to keep developing as the season goes on, they can't keep up.

As a Sebastian Vettel fan I am gutted at the fact he is starting P7 but I believe he can come back as because he is one of the best Formula 1 drivers of all time. Im a hardcore Mclaren fan for over 20 years since Hakkinen's era, following them every single day in terms of development news and all the issues,ups and downs calmly. This qualifying a litmus test for the genuine progress they have made, way to go still but im so proud and happy.
It might not be most exciting from an F1 fan's point of view but you have to appreciate the consistently superb level of driving, engineering and strategy by Mercedes. They deserve every single one of these good results. Complete domination. Also good job McLaren, keep at it.
He was the main reason they were doing so poorly. The talk around the paddock is that he's good at setting up a car to fit his particular style of driving but rather bad as a car developer. Alonso kept badmouthing Honda at every opportunity until the had enough and left for Red Bull. Ron Dennis was still in charge at McLaren back in 2014 and when he heard Honda wanted to sign Alonso he opposed it having bad memories from 2007 when Alonso jumped ship and cut a 3 year long contract short after 1 season. I'm glad Alonso is finally out.
Superb showing by McLaren today they have two very good drivers on their hands and it seems Leclerc is finally starting to find his feet :) strong and consistent all weekend.

Red Bull you really have to be more careful in Qualifying, if Grosjean wouldn't have made that mistake and if Stroll wouldn´t have sucked so hard, or if Kwjat did a second run, Verstappen would have been out in Q1!
They must have the computer simulation and windtunnel aspect of part design under extreme control. I don't think they found something special necessarily...just all the parts of the car work beautifully together. Where Ferrari is introducing updates see that they don't work and take them of the car again stunting progress, wasting time.

As a Sebastian Vettel fan I am gutted at the fact he is starting P7 but I believe he can come back as because he is one of the best Formula 1 drivers of all time. I am fine with the qualifying result as I am also a fan of Antonio Giovinazzi congrats to him for getting into Q3. Im a hardcore Mclaren fan for over 20 years since Hakkinen's era, following them every single day in terms of development news and all the issues,ups and downs calmly. This qualifying a litmus test for the genuine progress they have made, way to go still but im so proud and happy.

It might not be most exciting from an F1 fan's point of view but you have to appreciate the consistently superb level of driving, engineering and strategy by Mercedes. They deserve every single one of these good results. Complete domination. Also good job McLaren, keep at it.

Rooting for papaya tomorrow. Nobody has fought harder than they have in the face of losing race after race. It's about time they are back.
So happy for McLaren... never cheered for them in 2018 because I don't like Fernando Alonso... but this team now seems super confident.
He was the main reason they were doing so poorly. The talk around the paddock is that he's good at setting up a car to fit his particular style of driving but rather bad as a car developer. Alonso kept badmouthing Honda at every opportunity until the had enough and left for Red Bull. Ron Dennis was still in charge at McLaren back in 2014 and when he heard Honda wanted to sign Alonso he opposed it having bad memories from 2007 when Alonso jumped ship and cut a 3 year long contract short after 1 season.
I'm glad Alonso is finally out.
Superb showing by McLaren today they have two very good drivers on their hands and it seems Leclerc is finally starting to find his feet :) strong and consistent all weekend.

Somebody nerf Mercedes' engineers. They've found something special and I can't help but be impressed.
They must have the computer simulation and windtunnel aspect of part design under extreme control. I don't think they found something special necessarily...just all the parts of the car work beautifully together. Where Ferrari is introducing updates see that they don't work and take them of the car again stunting progress, wasting time.
