RTX Remix is a new modding tool that supports RTX mods for classic games. NFS Underground was developed by EA Black Box and published by Electronic Arts in 2003, and was released on PC, Game Boy Advance, GameCube, PlayStation 2 (PS2), and Xbox.
This NFS: Underground mod was developed by alessandro893, and is available on ModDB.

Unfortunately the permanently rain-slicked look of the roads is missing, that's arguably the most iconic aspect of the original games visual design.
Exactly, it actually detracts from the overall look of the game, the baked lighting is messed up too so everything is either overly dark, or too bright
It is such an odd choice to have it missing in an RTX remix? the most iconic reflections in gaming history, and you leave it out, in your RTX remix?

yeah because the RT project does not have the information it needs yet, clear tell, the rear lights do not emit light.

the problem with is that they didn't take into account the pre-baked lighting and shadows into the textures.
It's just one guy doing all this, it's not a official project of EA.

underground 1 better soundtrack, but the freeroam in 2 makes 2 automatically better imo

@@skyleralvarez887 The free roam in 2 never appealed to me, adding it made the race tracks too wide and boring imo.
Underground 1 did it better with those narrow roads making it feel like you are actually going super fast.

There are those who want a remaster of this when music licensing, car companies and official ads in the game will be very struggling to get it done all together. Well, anything can be done right if it's fully handled correctly.

Looks noticeably better since RTX got revealed. Modder has been putting time in adjusting textures, materials, and lighting.
Sometimes "less" is "more"; this is one of those cases.
Underground 1 and 2, Most Wanted (2005) and Carbon remain the best arcade racing of all time.

The original actually has a graphical style and charm about it. The RTX remix just changes it to look like any other game. Could be a clip from GTA5 for all anyone would know. Artless.
They need to remaster Underground 1 and 2 and combine it with the chases Most Wanted had...

probably music licensing. The game had one of the best OST's too. It would be hard to replace.

They need to do this to Burnout 3 ASAP
they took away the light glows and strobes and dimmed down a lot of the reflections. It looks dark and matte.
We've been asking for a remake of nfsu2 for years , nfs unbound was cool especially withe undergorund style races they recently added but we need a remake or nfsu 3 .
If only these people focused on Midnight Club 3 and Midnight Club 2.

This is another tool being treated like the whole toolshed and things won't improve until that mentality stops. It's why handcrafted modding still reigns supreme despite the time it can take. Either use all the tools or keep expecting fair harsh criticism.

The orginal version is literally still looking better then this RTX mode, where the wet road reflections ??? Also the colour pallet, overall brightness isn't right.. you gotta try harder.
