I LOVED this video!! It was very helpful and completely professional. You obviously have experience and know what you're doing. I'm auditioning for Drum Major, (like the many of the other people commenting on this) and found that this was exactly what I needed. The cymbal cues are fantastic and the Lagotto section was perfect. I also enjoyed your friend being silly. Thank you for making this video!!
So I learned my very first basics at my high school, but also went to various drum major camps throughout my 3 years as drum major. My technique doesn't exactly match the video, since that's just the way all of our drum majors do the ssb in my high school. looking back at this, though, it was only meant to be an instructional video for the 2 new drum majors after me when I graduated. that's why it looks so lazy. and it was very very late at night. I didn't expect others to use it.

I used your video to help me practice for drum major auditions and I made it! The only thing was when you cue the crash make sure you point a finger because it's better than a hang gesture. I didn't cue exactly like you did but neither of us had a finger point. This video was so helpful to me, thank you! c:
Brie Schwab I know this is 2 years late (lol) but congrats! I hope you had as much fun as I did. This version of SSB was very specific to my high school so the hand gesture came with the territory haha
