I've backed this campaign and crazy excited to build my own unique table for my studio.
This was not sponsored and they did not ask me to make this video. I just thought it was a really cool and unique project and wanted to help bring more attention to it.

#3dprinting #miniature #kickstarter - Наука
I’m an Industrial Design major with a concentration in furniture and this is something I have been trying to actively incorporate in my projects. My professor is very old fashioned and loves raw materials and while I like them as well, I really try to incorporate 3D printing within my designs. Thanks for the video!
Oh wow that is fantastic! Would love to print some stuff sometime if make some available online
It's far more efficient to have a CNC machine do this job with wood. This is also ridiculously flimsy.
@@WardenOfTerra yes but not everyone has access to a cnc machine
Honestly, Jesse, this is definitely some thing that peaks my interest. Thank you so much for bringing this up to light. I will definitely go in and research on it and hopefully back it up. Seems like a good amount of people like it as well. I’m so excited and I love the stacking feature of it. It makes it so much easier to put it away if you are not needing to use it.
They put so much thought into these files. Pretty wild to see and play with. Can’t wait to see all of the combination options 😂🤣
Backed it immediately after watching this video.
Printing a table would take a stupidly long time. I had to print a round stand for a 3D diorama and each quadrant was about 18cm radius was clocking in at 16hours each.
I backed this on day one - actually was waiting for it to drop. The company has gone WAY beyond with the stretch goals and options. They have listened to ideas and implemented them in real time, which is amazing!
Great to see you made a video on this. Saw the kickstarter the other day and backed it right away!
I printed the dice tower out and it's pretty slick. The table is a very fun concept.
I am a backer and hoping they don't wait until March for the file release after it closes. I want to start printing mine like yesterday.
Backed this as soon as you tweeted about it. So excited for it!
haha I'm trying to sort out what Size I want to print for it 😂
Been anticipating this product. Backed it the moment it went live. So glad this entered your radar! This kind of product deservs the love!
I cannot thank you enough for this video. I'd never have known this existed otherwise. I need this for my biweekly D&D games!
I'm not much into tabletop gaming but my daughter loves doing puzzles and this would be just perfect!
This looks badass. I do quite a bit of tabletop wargaming terrain setups and the holes in the surface look super useful for running fog or lighting through. Thanks for taking a look at this!
I've backed it and am looking forward to setting my printers to work. Thanks for bring to the communities attention, Jessie.
This is going to be my first STL campaign. Thanks so much for making a video on this. Those prints look great and are so fast. You are saving about 7 hours per plate with the X1C. I saw your post in the Bambu group. My friend got his Anker Make M5 recently and I really need to upgrade to a faster printer. I think this campaign/project pushes it over the edge to get the Bambu X1C sooner than later. Thanks!
The Bambu has been consistently coming in at ~33% of the print times posted. Blown away by how fast that printer can deliver great prints.
Honestly thank for sharing this. This is the next step in 3DP world, a company that trust its customers to manufacture the product. cutting so much in cost for bought sides, really hope this is just the start of a bigger movement!
I remember a university student coming up with an automated way of dividing up a large model into pieces with connection points that are all printable. This might not be the same thing, but it's very similar and quite clever.
I think this is totally cool, even though I'm the kind of guy who would buy a bunch of power tools to build a table out of 2x4 lumber. Except the table saw. I can't fit that anywhere.
I backed this, and am eagerly awaiting the conclusion so I can get started printing.
Dang man I just saw your comment on kickstarter yesterday and now a video today. You are making me even more excited for this
🤣😂🤘 they put a lot of love into those files that’s for sure
Thanks for reminding me about this campaign!
I would 100% back this if I played tabletop games more often, this is such an amazing idea. I hope the price is reasonable after the kickstarter is over as someday I may want to make this for a friend
Dude, I don't even tabletop game and this excites me! The design is brilliant - I love how they gave thought not only to the setup but also the storage (in super-common Ikea Kallax form factor, no less). Thanks for sharing!
Definitely going to back this next paycheck. Such an awesome idea ! I live in a studio so having a table I could easily break down like that and customize to MY needs is such an awesome idea !
I do love the general idea of this though personally as someone who's in favour of open standards, I kind of see this project going a similar way to how several commercially gated grid storage systems have been waylaid by the open equivelants, in that example Voidstar Labs' open Gridfinity system. I do hope this goes in the direction of ensuring open compatibility with individual creator's works without locking down the details too much, as that'd be unfortunate. Still, its great to see concepts like this take off in any regard, cheers for sharing.
I don't back very many kickstarters, and so far everything I've backed has been fulfilled. I've backed this after watching this and I'm very excited! Thanks for pointing this out.
This is my 4th stl file campaign. So far all have delivered
@@UncleJessy This will be my first! The others were board games, hence my need for a gaming table lol.
Backed this day one!
Backed. This is seriously awesome, and something I would have missed if it wasn't for your video.
It would be great if you could share some optimal FDM print settings for various printers to see if we can trim down those print times but maintain quality.
I would have never seen this without subscribing to your page - this is something I truly want for many reasons.
Your good will has helped me find and back this project - a thanks to you and the creation team.
This is so cool, I'm not even much of a gamer but I backed it, one of my best friends is a huge gamer and this will make an awesome birthday present
Thanks for sharing this! I'm backing this right now! cant wait to print this table....game changer for sure (pun intended)
Will be really fun seeing how people design & print these
Thanks, backed!
I love seeing this! Cannot wait to see more companies move towards this model as well. 🥰
I'm a Commercial backer on this project myself, so cool to see the project get showcased on this channel!
I backed this right away and I’ve been waiting for someone on RUclips to make a big deal about this… because this is a big deal. Thanks Jesse!
Yeah it’s pretty dang incredible
VERY COOL! Have a massive tabletop gaming place locally, may grab the files and donate a set to them!
Well they just got another backer here 👋. 👍
thank you thank you for brining this to are attention, i just backed it myself. this is such a good idea. also thank you for the wonderful video that you made bringing this to the communities attention. i love your videos keep up the good work
Really dang excited for it. Figured others would be as well
I'm actually working with a coworker now to make this. He got the files I got the printer lol. I just got my very first printer (Bambu lab) and I'm excited to drive into this project.
And… Now you made me back a kickstarter…. Thanks
Sorry! 🤣😂
@@UncleJessy How quickly did the table sections print on the X1? Did you leave it on standard, sport? Ludacris? Thanks.
Ok so this might be what gets me to get a pla printer. Holy crow!
Gonna be honest, as cool as this looks and as well designed it seems to be, I can't see myself using this. It looks really lightweight and easy to knock into and jostle around. Tables need to be sturdy and solid, especially if you have tons of little pieces carefully positioned on it. Seems like it could benefit from some sort of clamping or weighting system to prevent that. It definitely is a very useful project if space is tight or you are in need of a portable tabletop, and are willing to make that compromise.
Thanks for showing this, I just backed at the lower level, as I don't want to sell any. Looks like a great project
I backed it at the "I am going to 3d print me a table". My son thinks I am crazy.
LOVIN' This! Backed at the Merchant Tier
supported it after i saw you did on twitter. i'm super stoked for it.
Such a rad project and well worth the $48 imo for all of the files/options.
@@UncleJessy i 100% agree. looks like it's going to make a fantastic piece in my house.
the fact that i worked exactly on this as a hobby but it was a gaming desk thinking who would care so i left it and now they raised over 100k?
Looks cool, but imagine setting a game of something like Nemesis. You will need to print a lot of parts cause the game takes a lot of space table. So now you have to spend about 30 minutes putting the table together, so that you can then spend another 30 minutes or so setting up the game components. Might as well get a cheap foldable table at walmart.
I know it’s freaking awesome. I found out about you through them. Saw you on their Kickstarter.
I can't wait for for someone to modify the existing Settlers of Catan for this table top
We unlocked "Remixable PlayTiles" to allow the community to make tiles specific to any game.
I backed it as well. so good!
This is really fun looking 👌
The first Q at Shark Tank is, what's proprietary here? The KS page mentioned Patent Pending but there are a thousand ways to interlock any two things. I reviewed the KS comments and the only mention of patent was users not selling parts they modify, which is fair. I'm not saying this won't succeed as a KS, only that once it's out the door it's time to sell out as quick as possible because the wolves are on the trail and they will overtake and eat you.
I don't even have my printer yet and I am kickstarting. I am waiting for the Neptune Max to be restocked. I do craft and gift shows an I think with some customization, it will make great tabletop displays that are easy to transport.
Looks amazing if your table is to small for dnd or 40k this looks really cool
i really love 3d printed course threaded twist locks. satisfying
3d printed threads just boggle my mind everytime love them
I knew as soon as I saw you back this on twitter a video would be just around the corner!
It looks like it's been designed very thoroughly, and I almost want to back it on that basis alone, but I'm just not getting the point of it. A typical gaming table has a recessed surface so that you can 1) lean against the sides without bumping anything, and 2) put a top over it so that the game doesn't need to be packed up to use it as a normal table. This offers neither of those, and even worse is that either you have this 3D printed tray table that needs to be lifted and put on the floor or something to use the table again, or you have to pack not only the game but the whole tray table away. As well as it's been designed, for a large-ish table it looks like it'd probably take 15-20 mins to put together or pack up, and again I don't get why I'd bother rather than just use the table as is. And this is before I've even gotten into the hundreds of hours of printing plus hundreds of dollars of filament to make it.
I wish them success, and it looks like they've already got it, but I'm yet to be convinced. Having said that, if it turns out well, and people show videos of how wrong I am, then maybe I'll pick it up post-kickstarter.
This is exactly where I'm at. I like the premise, but I simply don't see a reason to build and use this over just using the table you are setting it on. The dice towers and card holders are the only thing making it unique to me.
I thought the same thing. If I could print the entire table I’m in but this is just a table topper. Don’t need that since I don’t keep drinks or food on gaming table
it is'nt a uncle easy video without him running off and printing some thing
Haha I was like… imma need a few files to print and show off 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Nice project, I`m backing at the commercial pledge.
Its going to take a bit of tweaking for anyone to actually be able to sell the finished items at a reasonable price and still make a profit though, and I suspect that's why its an STL campaign.
Not knocking it it looks like a great project and if I only make my own then it would have been worth it.
Would love it if they also released the CAD files for the commercial backers.
Yeah.... Yeah I'm gonna need that... Damn you, know I need to find out which printer to get for this😅
Thanks for the recommendation, my gaming group is gonna love this!
Let me chime in with a printer recommendation which is really how this whole collaboration started -- I am really impressed with the Elegoo Neptune 3 (& 3 Pro), in fact you will see one in the campaign video. We have had lots of people asking which printer we recommended for this project and my answer has always been the Elegoo Neptune 3 (or 3 Pro) but they ran out of stock on their website so I took to twitter. I tweeted Elegoo asking when they would be back in stock and tagged Jessy as this channel is where I was first introduced to the printer.
@@gutshotgames I am going to use the Bambu X1 Carbon. Though I imagine the P1P would work as well unless there is ABS required.
Thanks Clayton awesome video
Thanks. I hate it.
And by hate it I mean I hate that I had to spend money on it now. If it is as good as it looks, it's an amazing idea and well executed design.
if you install an updated firmware with a 220 X axis on a CR30, how well do they print on the belt?
Why do i see this only now, after the kickstarter has finished, the sadness is real.
Will there be a way to buy or late pladge this?
Late Pledges are now Open. Just follow the link Uncle Jessy posted.
Awesome! Pledged :)
Had to back this project just because Uncle Jessy backed it and ive been wanting a gaming table
I had already back this at the top level. I’m so glad you did this video they deserve so much more attention and your community is going to give them that. I don’t care if I paid more and I won’t be able to Sell I’m just glad I’ll be able to make some and give some to my friends
It’s such an awesome project and they have clearly spent a lot of time thinking through the designs. I can’t wait to see what sort of print combinations that can be put together. Thanks for the support man!
Hear me out: A locking mechanism on top with a lockable dice tower.
Thank you for sharing this! Really cool project that I could see several uses for in my home. Can’t wait to see customizations from the community. Great video…here. ;)
Greetings from Canada (and a former client of yours... i'll miss the Ideations!). Keep rocking what you are doing!
🤣😂🔥🔥🔥 I also miss ideations. Although making all of these videos did help with me standing up and presenting. Thanks for checking things out here!
I love the design!
Hey I’m having issues with my Saturn 2 what are your print settings for it? I’ve tried so much.
Great video! I backed this a few weeks ago. Curious, how long did one base plate take to print on the X1C/P1P?
Neat idea. That is a lot of filament though. Even at $15/kg the standard one will cost ~$85
I wonder if there are some places that sell filament cheaper in bulk?
How do you have this already!? I've been waiting for this!
I DM'd and begged to send me a few files so I could check it out and show it off here ;) They are soooooo satisfying to snap together
@@UncleJessy Well, I back them when it started. It's nice to hear their engineering is good. I do wonder about number of components to print.
I don't really get it. What's the point of this play surface over a regular table? The point of most gaming tables is that the play surface is recessed so a game session can be paused and the table return to use as a plain table.
It's not clear how building one of these creates a better gaming experience.
🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ dunno. Just though it was really dang cool with lots of fun accessories to print
depends on your situation, it might not be for you. for me, I have two tables, one is slick glass and the other is rough wood with gaps. neither is good for gaming. this can sit over top of eather. also instead of recessed, it looks like I can pick this entire play surface up and move it someplace else (on top of the guestroom bed) then move it back for next week's play session. nothing is for everyone, but I can see how this will work very well for me. and on vacations? it's portable. who knows what the placing I'm staying will have, with this I bring my own gaming surface.
@@jajordan2515251 Fair enough. I wasn't thinking of that kind of thing. Thanks!
Darn, I missed the KS. Did they mention if they are doing an pre-order from their website or something since people who missed it can't pledge?
Late Pledges are now Open. Just follow the link Jessy posted.
This is awsome
Yeah a LOT of thought went into those files. Very impressed with the few files Ive seen so far
Hi Uncle Jesse can you please help me i need your help. I'm trying to print quite tall cylinder shapes on my elegoo saturn and the prints are saying 6hrs but the print is taking 22hrs?? i can't find anyhting on how to setup chitubox for faster printing and i know the Bottom lift speed and lifting speed have a big part to play but i'm to afraid to change these. can you please do a video showing in depth what we can do with these setting for chitubox V1.9.4. thank you so much
Unfortunatly i was to late to back this Project. Do you know how i can get it? Will it be for sale?
Late Pledges are now Open. Just follow the link Uncle Jessy posted.
@@gutshotgames thx i already ordered it
I am boardgame player myself but I don't understand the purpose. If you put it on top of your table, you can't sit since it's higher now and you wouldn't see the board. You can't use this without a table because it's not strong enough and it would break if anyone lean on it. Can someone explain?
I had the same question, then I saw the short (~1 inch) legs on the site available and that should solve this problem if you find yourself in this case. For me my (current) table is a bit too low so the larger legs will work better.
It's brilliant! I'm just wondering if the structure could be too much lightweight and fly down from the table with a clumsy hit.
The total weight keeps it well in place, especially if you print the feet with TPU or apply an anti-slip pad on the bottom of the legs.
Interesting idea but why a Kickstarter? Design the thing and sell the STLs.
I would assume to not waste a ton of design time if no one is interested in it. If you design just the core files maybe there is a decent amount of people that buy. Also tends to be a fairly good marketing strategy for small / startup companies. But maybe you can ask on the ks & see why they did it.
The reason for the KSer campaign is to help fund project completion. While several components are complete, several pieces still need fine tuning (that isnt the final version of the frame for example) and more development work. Some of the stretch goals are just kicking off development as well. Thanks for the question.
While indeed cool and somewhat practical, the final produc ends up expensive as hell - that's 5 1kg spools of filament. Where I live, with the cheapest possible filament I can buy it would cost me a total of 100$ for a small modular plastic table on stubby legs. For that much money I can buy a literal IKEA desk. Not to mention the time it will take to print.
Finally, I can put all 10 of my FDM printers to use for a single project and complete it in under 2 days. Then I can use my Mars and Jupiter to make some minitures for the table. Thanks for sharing this KS with the community!
Money wise, it doesn't make any sense because if its 5.5 kg or the 4.4kg version of the table it still costs about 100$+ which means you could just go buy a cheap table at Walmart or something. Nothing less it looks very cool thou.
wonder how much would it cost to print one of those tables.
it seems unnecessary to print legs and a flat bed but the accessories are quite interesting.
I wanna see this!
No love for us 3d resin printers users? well...at least there is hope we can hope a kickstarter later for us lol
Big shout out to RUclips for not showing this to me before the Kickstarter ended.
Late Pledges are available if you follow the link in the description.
Can you try printing these on a Saturn2? You know so I don't have to?
Haha I believe they’ve said on the Kickstarter that they do not recommend resin for the prints
Share your entire Cura settings please
What layer height did you print in? Im looking to back this kickstarter
Hi Jessy. I am buying my first 3d printer. I have narrowed it down to the Elegoo Neptune Max or the Bambu Lab P1P. Do you have a recommendation between the two?
@UncleJessy what are the thoughts on this now that this video is a year old. You using it for anything in particular.
"You wouldn't download a table" Idk man I just might
How can they have stretch goals for 3D cad files, which are already drawn? Seems odd someone would run a kicstarter campaign for already completed CAD files? Why not My mini factory it, or cults3D?
I would have to assume they don’t have them fully built yet but I could be wrong.
The reason for the KSer campaign is to help fund project completion. While several components are complete, several pieces still need fine tuning (that isnt the final version of the frame for example) and more development work. Some of the stretch goals are just kicking off development as well. Thanks for the question.
Do they know a time when the stl's will be released to the public backers?
The 1st wave of files will be released at the end of February/beginning of March.
Hey Jesse! I back this as well but I don't have a fdm printer, do you think this could be resin printed?
Of course I would see this when I don't have any money lol. Would 100% back if i did and I don't even have an fdm printer
