@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures the good thing is your probably not the first or last one. thankfully we knew what you meant. its really easy to make that mistake.
Hey christ im very curious about visual lavender desert ghost do you have any of it? Is it possible to see the difference dg in alibino gene, thank you 🙏
Hey Chris! I've noticed that the difference in the Single Gene Desert Ghost are due to the underlying "normal" pattern and color. The same happens with bananas and coral glows. If you have a dark normal het in the original pairing or up the line, you will get a different looking snake than if you started with a reduced pattern, light normal
Always good content Chris always look forward your videos in the evening. These are my favorite morphs along with the axanthic beautiful morphs. Of course I prefer the darker than bright morphs.
So Chris when you breed desert ghost bumblebee does it breed out the spider wobble or is there always a chance the wobble can pop up if any spider gene is in the mix. Thanks, Gord p.s. love your informative videos, good job
I’ll assume both colorations are compatible and ask why these are not considered separate, differentiated genes similar to the Albino/Candy/Candinos. To me they certainly warrant distinction from one another even if they are completely compatible. Can one coloration throw the other or is it basically line dependent? Do you know if they have been proven to be compatible with one another? Love your videos and always wish there was a way to dig deeper into the science of the why these animals are so awesome and never boring.
Chris Hardwick makes it even more confounding for me haha. I’m new to the hobby but I just imagine an extra mutation somewhere in the chromosomes that carry the information for coding of any gene accounts for the differences in coloration but why they are not then differentiated like Albino and Candy doesn’t make sense to me. I guess I’m over complicating it a lot and knowing more of the history of each “morph” would benefit me. I suppose my hang up is on the differences in compatible morphs and different lines of the same morph and what separates the two. What determines if it it’s a completely new morph or just a different line. I would also do well to keep in mind genetics while we break them down as simple concepts are actually pertaining to complicated living things.
Tried the craigslist market and they were selling a brand new rack in the box, well we looked up the brand and saw their "good deal" was a $200 mark up smh. Overall craigslist has not been eventful in my area people want to make their money back. Love the desert ghost might be a morph to look into at some point for sure especially when we are working with VPI axanthic and are building our lines...wonder if we could get an axanthic sand blast desert ghost bamboo het pied O.o that's a mouth full to be sure.
I noticed that you're feeding your biggest snakes with rats. Is feeding multiple rats vs one big rabbit equally good for the snake? I'm binge watching python care videos and all of them suggest to feed mice/rats matching the widest part of the snake.
Rabbits would be better and easier, but I have so many big old rats I don't know what to do with them, my freezer is full too LOL. Rabbits are expensive and I'm not sure I want to get into breeding rabbits for my snakes...
Oh I did start a picture thread on morphmarket forums called "quarantine picture party" if you or anyone else want to check it out or post pics of all our beautiful pythons..have all my breeder pictured minus my normal girl she spunky and never holds still for pictures :p
I'm just now getting into snake breeding and desert ghost is what I'm starting with. I have Goldie from you which is het desert ghost. And monte who is single gene visual desert ghost male from NERD.
Right now I only have three left from last year over on Morphmarket. I'll have more in a few months, here's the link to my store: www.morphmarket.com/us/c/reptiles?store=cchardwick
A lot species show differences in color and pattern between sexes. Have you ever noticed differences in ball pythons, like you mention in this video, about different strains. Could this be sex specific, maybe? I've always wondered, but never researched it. Just a thought.
Nice....I think that I'm gonna have to get a white line of desert ghost I like the base gene of that one.. I'm gonna start my snake breeding with darkmorph...
Dude you said star trek nooooo! Love the channel keep up the awesome work brother
Yea, I'm a Trekkie LOL

1:57 is my favorite variation of DG.
All your videos are outstanding.
You explain things in a way that is easy for a person that is new to the hobby (like me) to understand.
Absolutely love the DG gene. Was hoping for this video! Haha thx for answering my question :) I appreciate you! Please keep them videos coming!
Will do!!
Off topic a bit but I was looking on morph market and saw a Mojave monsoon and it might be the craziest pattern I've ever seen on a ball python
Monsoons are awesome!
Going back to this after the recent discovery that DG is polygenic
Same!
Hey Chris, keep up the good work. It would be great to see a video of all the Gene's that have a super form👌🏻
I thought about doing that video but there are too many LOL
Sometimes i think you can read our minds. I was thinking about the desert ghost lately.
Thank you Chris 👍
I knew you were thinking that LOL
Oo been waiting for this one
😎
Great video love desert ghost👏🐍👍
Me too!
Do u have any videos on the firefly morph? Btw great video!!
That's a great topic, I'll add it to the list!

I think a wobble is possible in just about any combo.
Hey Chris, I’m a big fan. I was wondering what morph is popular besides the clown and the pieds?
Enchi is probably the most popular as far as numbers.
So any update on the eggbound girl?
Two eggs still stuck, I'm working on her twice a day trying to get them out...
Would you ever consider doing morph videos over Retic/ boa morphs?
Not really, this is a Ball Python channel LOL
Desert Ghost is so nice.... but I have 3 recessives now and just starting out so gonna wait a bit before I get it.. great video as well :)
Yea, at some point you end up wanting them all LOL
Off topic but what morphs are in bobby
He is just a straight Bamboo with no other genes.
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures is bamboo chocolate a dead end project I seen one I'm interested in but might just be a pet type
So what happened with your ball python? The egg bound one? She ok?👌

I'm pretty sure they are compatible, I've never heard of lines that don't mix.

You can try doing a nation wide search on Craig'slist and have it shipped.
Did you stop breeding? Or just making videos?
