i often wonder if at the time American artists realized working class kids in northern cities here in UK were going nuts to records they were recording back in the states, most of the northern soul dance tracks sold virtually nothing at the time so they probably thought no one was listening/dancing to them...
I bet they had no idea that the kids from the North of England were listening to great sounds from the USA and dancing to these soulful sounds amazing times of Northern soul

Would’ve love to have been there. What a voice after all these years. A fantastic live version, that does so much justice to the single. Judy could show a few of todays artists, how to sing live. Such a fantastic background story, that Judy had know idea about her fame over here in England until the mid 1990’s. So pleased for her to get the credit all these years later.
I look at the gathering and wonder if the people are really appreciating how much effort this woman is putting into making this song work the magic again for the faithful. After all it was nearly 45 years since she recorded that legendary single.
I LOVE this song! I've been there, danced on that floor at soul weekenders. Many of the punters are in their 60s/ 70s now. So lots of people just stand on the sidelines or sit to listen to the acts. All very much appreciated in my experience. Well done Richard Searling, Kevin Roberts and Co actually getting them over to the UK. Keep the faith ✊
Because thats the RESPECT the ppl have for the singer. Let her sing the song "without" hullabaloo going on. If the ppl are DANCING they ARE enjoying it!! KTF. 😉😎

One of my top three best ever NS songs. Judy's voice not as strong as it was on original but still ace performer. My other two from top three are tony Clarke, Landside and Little Anthony and Imperials - Better use your head.
She was around 62-63 (she’s 73 now) when this was filmed. If you look at the beginning when she arrives at the airport, there’s no reason to think that she just looks good for her early 60’s.

***** to be fair have you any idea how big that dance floor is, ??? it was built c1900 for 2.000 Dancers. a very big Venue to fill/

IMO that is NOT Judy Street. She must be at the youngest 70-75 anbd that wioman is at the most 55. imo.
