What a fantastic way to paint an aircraft I've never seen post shading done like that before. Most people will add a bit of white to the base colour or a bit of black and pick out a few spots and panels but your method of layer after layer of different mottled shades really gives the paint an unmatched level of depth. Definitely going to try this on the raf mustang I'm building just now.
You continue to do great work. I like that you take the time to show the techniques you use so it's easier to understand how you achieve your results. I have gotten a few tips to help with my builds. Thanks for the videos. Keep it up.
I really love the subtle weathering! So much nice than the more heavy-handed examples we see on so many "pro" videos. The ONLY thing I can possibly suggest is allowing us to see the labels just a *bit* longer (I can't tell the shades of Earth tone colors you used, even if I pause and go frame by frame). I would live to see a tutorial on how you select the different hues and values for the mottling for the mid tones, etc., you use in your technique. It really is among the best that I have seen and would like to learn some more of the details. Thanks, again! Great work!
Thank you very much! I recorded this with my old camera. Stay tuned for upcoming BF-110 build videos. I will show my technique in 1:72 scale with more details. I missed that label's duration time, thanks for the feedback!
Awesome build of great bird! Very good videos. You include just enough of everything. Also good filming, nice angle and great quality. You are a talented modeller. Looked at all your vids and great builds I enjoyed watching all of them. Thanks for doing this and please keep it up!
I like the Australian version with the 4 flags on the engine cowling. It had a red U on the fuselage sides. Fought along 5th Air Force over New Guinea against elite Japanese Army air fighter squadrons. Or Sentais. Oscars, Tonys, Nicks, Dinahs, Has to have fighter pilot and wheels up.
Thanks for this beautyful moment! You are really a great modeler. This P40 is a example of perfection. A big moment of pleasure this morning!!! Thanks a lot! (sorry about my english....) :)
Hi, This kit does not come with Tex Hill's markings, nor does it come with the ROC roundels. Could you please tell me where you got these declals? I believe you forgot to mention this in your video. Thanks.
Question..... Did you clear that before you put the decals and the Tamiya wash on the model? Or were all those acrylics gloss paints? I only ask because I always seem to have issues with washes grabbing into areas where it shouldn't, like it would over a flat paint (looks terrible)
Thanks! I thought that they had to done from the inside earlier in the build. I really like your technique. Spent hours watching your entire build of the Tamiya F-14A and despite your opening disclaimer, I did learn a 'few' things. :) .
Scale-a-ton sorry I misspelled your name, thank you for the response, I am trying to decide what airplane to build for my first 1:48 airplane and what to buy to help detail it. I’ve been building tanks for a while, so I’m not new to the hobby, but I’m new to the kit type.
95% of model builder RUclips is just bad music! Why do you do that? I want to learn why you do what you do and how you did it - not your choice of music! ,,
Hi Carl, I'm sorry for the experience you've had and thanks for your feedback. However, modelers are not professional video producers. In order to share their own modeling experience, they prepare these videos in good faith and with great effort and take time and upload them to RUclips. In the course of time, they make good videos. Please see my latest videos in the order of loading. You'll see that many problems have solved. Have a nice day.

This is the next kit on the bench for me. Fantastic work. Way to set the bar.
Thank you very much! I hope this video will help your build.

Many thanks for your kind comment!
Superb model and very interestig way for to obtain much deeper color. I will try soon on my building Tomahawk!
I'm floored. That is a beautiful P-40. I build WWII armor mostly but this makes me want to build a wingy-thingy...lol
Thank you! Yes, idd. Flying Tigers are the best P-40 paint scheme.
Absolutely gorgeous build my friend! Your painting skills are top notch!
Thank you very much!

Beautifully built, good enough to fly.
Very very cool. Ten thumbs up! I need to try that panel shading thing.
Thanks a lot!
Awesome job on the build and the paint job......the music however, that I eventually had to mute.
I really enjoyed this. Totally professional
What decals did you use? I have this same kit but it only includes decals for Maj Edward Rector's 104 and Lt Robert Vaughn's 94.
Do the wheels move?
Wear can I find that clay at 6:16
Man that clay idea is genius. I'd never have thought of that. I use pieces of cardboard cut to a radius. This is way easier.
Très belle maquette bien soignée ...A+

Thank you very much for your nice comment!

Superb !Thank you for the demonstration
Thank you! I hope it will be useful for your modeling works.
is amazing bird!!!!amazing paint work...bravo!!!bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks a lot!
A very beautiful job!
Thank you!
What is that tone and clay you are using?
exelente trabajo 👍👌 gracias x compartir tus conocimientos
Why is the whole plane weathered and not the canopy frames?
Question.....
Did you clear that before you put the decals and the Tamiya wash on the model? Or were all those acrylics gloss paints?
I only ask because I always seem to have issues with washes grabbing into areas where it shouldn't, like it would over a flat paint (looks terrible)
Yes i use always X-22 before decals and apply again after decals cured.
Such a clean build, a perfect canvas for the skilled airbrush. If you don't mind, how did you install the exhausts so late in the build?
It was so easy. It can be installed from the outside.
Thanks! I thought that they had to done from the inside earlier in the build. I really like your technique. Spent hours watching your entire build of the Tamiya F-14A and despite your opening disclaimer, I did learn a 'few' things. :) .
Beautiful work!! really like it. May I know how What decals did you use? thanks
Awesome as allways!
very nice....awesome ....im fairly new to the hobby...whats the purpose of airbrushing in little sections, like you done
Thank you! I recommend always practice on old models or plastic bottles with airbrush for found the best psi and paint dilution.
the way he did that was to give it some shading and darker patches like on real air craft
Stunning build, congrats :)
Thank you :) Stay tuned!
Muy buen trabajo!!
Where did you find the drilling tool? Thank you for these videos
Thank you! It's a simple sewing needle with xto knife handle if you are asking this; ruclips.net/video/dncy4e9B0jA/видео.html
Thank you! all I need now is a model kit to build my patience and I can start!
Great job one this, I need to do a plane now after my sci-fi build
Thank you! I hope these videos will help your builds.
Bonjour de la France ville dunkerque 🇫🇷🇫🇷superbe modèle tres belle patine ✌✌✌
again I do not understand why you did not protect the cockpit area when painting
What do the ez wire string thingies do in real life?
The are attached to the control surfaces to make them move
what is that putty stuff you used and where can i get it.
Hello, thanks for watching! It's UHU Patafix 6:05
thanks it seems easier to use then a pencil
Yes! This is the fastest way of soft masking.
Brilliant job
Thank you!
amazing!!
What is the thickness of the ez line used?? and what kind of glue you used for it?
It's Ez Line Fine.
+Scale-a-Ron what did you use for the rigging and glue for the rigging? It’s really fine. You.
Make wonderful looking kits, keep up the good content!
Thank you very much! I use EZ line Fine for rigging.

What color did you use on the Bottom of the model???
I used a light gray mixture of gunze gray paints. You can use %80 XF-19 and %20 white
"Thanks"!
Beautiful model but again you forgot to weather the canopy. Somehow modellers assume they weren't exposed to any kind of dirt and damage.
Thats beautiful
Sweet Jesus!
Your good
Nice.
WOW!
Stupendo
Nice work but rear wheel is not alignment.
always bro....
Just a comment for the
algorithm.
Scale model porn, this is perfect
Thanks!
That song sounds like a total rip off of “Lady Picture Show” by the Stone Temple Pilot’s.

Now try doing it without an airbrush.
That's the real challenge.
I thought flying tigers were P-40B and P-40C. Am I incorrect?
