I bought my Gibson Les Paul Standard from Sweetwater as a demo model based on a finish blemish. I paid less than $2k for it and you couldnt find the blemish on it unless I showed you where it was. Keep in mind when shopping the demos that pictures of blems, scratches, scuffs, etc are sometimes magnified so you can see them in the picture. I have bought multiple demos from SW and the issue(s) that made the guitar a demo is always way less "obvious" or significant when you get the guitar in your hands than it appears in the pictures.

Speaking of Yamaha... have you ever tried any of their Line6 stuff? I picked up an HX Stomp a while ago and it's amazingly powerful for the size and cost. It's quite the rabbit hole to go down as well...
