I think the pandemic have really thought people the importance of multiple streams of income, unfortunately having a job doesn't mean security.
It's not how much money you keep, but how much money you make, how hard it works for you and how many generations you keep it for.

The pandemic part. Why does it not seem as scary now. Was it, is it a hoax ? It seemed so real a year ago, but now I am less worried. I have not met anyone who knows anyone who suffered like they say... I still don't understand. Anyone else ?
And I am scared to get the shot. Actually terrified. How am I more scared of a shot then the virus ?
The most terrifying thing in the world is fear, don't allow the unknown to stir emotions, we co-exist with millions+ of bacteria, virus, fungi/mold etc, every little molecule is constantly 24/7 fighting for life, including ours, which is so complex we merely know its potential, allow nature and molecules to do what they do.
I suspect you're more afraid of the shot than the virus because the people and institutions with the needles in their hands telling you that you must have the shot (politicians, regulatory agencies, mainstream media, social media etc...) often have demonstrable track records of lying and corruption and appear to be more interested in crony capitalism and censorship than they are in open debate, truth seeking and enlightenment, and that doesn't engender trust in people who are inclined to be sceptical.
The Sars-Cov-2 viral pandemic, of course, was not a hoax and the virus can be pretty nasty, particularly in people with co-morbidities (of whom there are many). It can also be barely worse than a mild cold in many and the odds of survival are stacked in your favour if you're responsible about your health; diet, exercise and rest are crucial. As with anything, you take your chances!
With that being said, I'm gonna get up off my lazy backside and go for a run.

You are so incredibly wrong it makes me wonder how you even figured out how to type. Which, by the way, is several times faster than writing.
Before any large technological step the herd needs to be thinned, with all the people being replaced by automation there will be millions without a job, seems the next step might be gravitational control, which will make most hard labor and generally unskilled jobs obsolete. so the current "situation" might be a herd thinning exercise. As a software developer I witnessed many human jobs being replaced by software, most recently shipping controllers that were replaced by software robots that works more accurately 24/7, never complains, never get sick or pregnant, it's really a no-brainer. Our greed for money will cause our destruction, we will become proud of our inventions that will do everything for us, we are currently at a point where we can barely survive without the technological advances that we have, one day the robots will die down and we will look at the automated farm and wish we knew how to plant a carrot.

Why aren’t Jobs training the workers it seems more efficient and it seems like the job should have to pay for the training why Isn’t the burden on the employer. It’s so weird it’s like McDonald’s telling me I need to come to work with a fry machine if want the job.
Now, if only this technology would result in lower prices for articles that everyone could afford.

You’d work for then you’re entire life your given seniority so you have job security and then your retire with a pension. Now you don’t even work for the company you’re a “contractor” because they don’t wanna pay for your medical and they want to be able to fire you with no notice for no reason.

IMO, we are so lucky to be born as millennials and especially the Zoomers. Technology is evolving so fast, I'm in IT and it's an exciting time even for me 😀As bad as it is when it comes to data and privacy, things just need to be steered away from using tech for invasion and incrimination.

I can't tell you how many times I've had to deal with the issues of people that want brandish their firearms or warn you with them when you're delivery driver you just there to drop off food or maybe you just make a mistake cuz the GPS messes up sends you to the wrong place a lot of people say oh just look at the address on the place but some places the address is aren't clearly marked and instead of taking the time to try to figure out whether or not in the visual is supposed to be on the property or accidentally on the property you know these guys now they just shoot first and ask questions later and if they feel like they made a mistake they try to cover there a** and lie about being scared little gun welding b******.

Teaching tech is good, but where are the well paying jobs ?. I am afraid good jobs are vanishing and they are not coming back. The whole world is getting highly educated and no body wants low paying job which requires no college degree. On the other hand too much competition for the well paying jobs which will further worsen by AI and similar disruptive forces. I believe we need alternative thoughts beyond tech, capitalism or industrialisation.
Nothing about the environment. All this wonderful future will need food and predictable weather patterns to avoid harvest failures and famine.

Let's put solar panels on every home, business and covered parking rooftop and switch to electric vehicles making nearly everything we do solar powered while completely decentralizing our power supply and empowering everyone as power generation owners.
Solar power is CHEAPER and electric vehicles are soon to be CHEAPER to make and already are considerably CHEAPER to maintain and operate, especially if charged from your own solar power.
A 3-5 year ROI (return on investment) for a solar array that will generate power for decades is a no-brainer and the panels can even be made locally too.

I think it was a pretty good anology, but ofcourse at some point it falls apart.
The stones are a scarce resource obtained by work, and the memory of the islanders constitute a decentralised public ledger that can't be hacked - not a bad analogy for bitcoin, imo. The key difference is that bitcoin is pseudonomous and global, whereas the system of stones is personal and local.
