Bravo on the build.
Thank you!
You did an absolutely beautiful job on the renovations, Cass!
Thanks!
I love how Jasper hangs out on the bed and looks outside. So cute 🙂
Great job in renovating this camper. Looks very cozy and like a home.
Thank you!
Beautiful job renovating the camper. I'm thinking that now that you have the larger truck, you need to sell the current camper and find a larger more practical camper. You've certainly increased the value of the camper and folks would stand in a long line to get a chance to buy it and at a hefty price. Maybe you're thinking of going back to a small travel trailer or a sprinter van? No doubt you're considering options. Good to see a vid from you again.
Thanks for watching!! Agree the new truck definitely opens up a lot of possibilities
The long awaited Camper video!!!!! Thank you for the upload!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Nice camper and you have done an excellent job. Most of the people talk about only the best part of their campers, but you are one of the very few people who spoke about what you don't like about your own camper, that makes you one of the most sincere people and taking about pros and cons. All the best
Really appreciate that, thank you!
The remodel turned out gorgeous! Really love that counter.
Unfortunately, not every RV is a good fit (I’ve had 5, looking for a 6th for the last year). Between the height issues of the bed & especially the bench, and the lack of a bathroom, this one doesn’t seem like the best choice for the kind of travel you planned. Fingers crossed you figure out how to make it work better for your needs. But if not, the work and equipment you’ve put into it will make it an easy sale for someone who wants a very compact camper!
Appreciate that!!
So good to see you again! You did so much work to remodel this and I think it looks great. But I would also have a hard time with no bathroom.
Thank you! 😊
Wow it’s stunning!! At whatever point you get tired enough of the difficult aspects you mentioned, you are going to have no problem selling that beaut! It’s tough figuring out the ideal rig…. you just don’t know until you’ve tried it! Your adventurous spirit and candid genuine-ness warms my heart, thank you! Wishing you and Jasper happy and smooth travels! ✨💛✨
Thank you so much!
It's great to see you got the remodeling done. It's a lot more work than some RUclipsrs put on. You're also working full time. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Hope you have many more to share in the coming months.
Thanks!! That’s why it took me so long to do it. It really is such a huge project.
Turned out amazing. Super impressed!
Thank you!
The camper looks great! It will be fun to see you continue to improve it
Thanks for watching!
Well good to know I was not confused behind this! Can’t wait to see the new adventures!!
Thanks!
Cass what a great job you did with your cozy little home I hope you have many great adventures to come.
Thanks so much! 😊
Wow fantastic efforts with renovation!! It absolutely looks adorable.
Thanks so much! 😊
Nice Job. Jasper is a natural. So cute. I couldnt imagine camping without my little buddy. They are so precious.
Yes they are! Make each day better
The inside looks amazing! The white really makes it pop.
Thanks!! It made it feel a lot more roomy as well.
Good to see you back!
Thank you!
Looks great. Glad you're back.
Thanks!
Another amazing video. Thanks for sharing with us!
Thanks for watching!
It looks really nice! Can't wait to see where you go with it!
Thanks!
Looks beautiful. You did an amazing job. Glad you finally got around to posting a video as I have been waiting to see how it turned out.
Thank you so much!
@@TailsofWanderlust you’re quite welcome. I enjoyed watching your adventures when you had the base camp, but the northern lite seems like it will be fun too. I am looking at getting into truck camping myself in the future just not sure what i want.
Great seeing you again! Your renovation turned out beautiful with your touch. 💜 I love the kitchen.
Thank you! 😊
WELCOME BACK!!! AWESOME VIDEO
Thanks!!
Wow, great job with the renovation, it looks amazing.
Thank you!
Great job, I love it!
Thank you!
Nice renovation! For safety don't forget to install a 12v propane gas detector and a carbon monoxide detector. Those Northern Lite's are nice little units, a little bit smaller than my Bigfoot C8. Mine is a similar layout but everything is just a bit bigger. I didn't realize you couldn't sit in those seating areas without hitting your head...that's too bad. I just replaced the floor in mine last week and installed 200watts of solar and upgraded electrical system...excited to get out there this summer and do some more camping.
I agree, perfect for a weekend out, not great for long trips. We shortened, gutted, and rebuilt a 1967ish truck camper. The longest trip was 4700 miles so far and left me wishing for a little more 'liveability'. We have a cassette toilet, no shower, no hot water. I think I miss the hot water faucet the most for washing up in the galley with any meal prep and just being able to wash my face with warm water. Cold and or wet weather exacerbates the feeling.
Your renovation is really good, but like you, I think most people would enjoy it more for the weekend warrior scenario.
For spices, I screwed the tops of the lids into the bottom of the cabinets with 1/2” screws with washers. Always get the most compliments on that hack and After 3 years they have never fallen.
Such a good tip, thanks!
Wow! I love this interior!! I'm looking at getting one for my ram and doing a little bit to it thanks for this I also love that kitchen and kitchen window the most
So glad, thank you!
Just found your channel while searching for Reno videos of any Northern Lite from 1991. Yours is the only older model I could find so far. Great job! Fingers crossed ours comes out as nice. We’re lucky to have a wet bath but lots other Reno’s still needed. I appreciate you explaining the paint and especially the parts dissatisfied with so we can take those into consideration.
Glad it was helpful, and good luck on your reno!!
Glad to see you back on yt. Looks like a great job renovating. Hope to see more videos soon.
Have 2 more in the works already, so hopefully we are now back! Videos will be every 2-4 weeks though, as weekly was too much to keep up with.
looks wonderful, congrats!
Thank you!
The camper turned out great Cass. For short trips camping, I’d say that’s perfect for a short(er) person - like me, lol but for longer trips and working, more space and a toilet would be needed. Hope you’ve had a chance to go skiing this Winter. Take care and stay well; safe travels!
Thank you!! Yes, I’ve been skiing thankfully just not with the camper
Honestly love how it turned out. You got very creative with the decor and use of space. I can't wait to see what is next. Until next time... You and Jasper Travel safe.
Thanks so much! 😊
Good afternoon from Godley Texas, great renovations. You utilized the space with you in mind. Looking forward to future adventures. Stay safe and happy travels 😎
Thank you! Appreciate you checking out the video!
Amazing job renovating! It looks so beautiful. Good luck on your next project :)
Thanks so much! 😊
The force shines brightly in your eyes
What a great job! And thank you for adding the "don't likes" to your video. Can't wait for your next update.
Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate you watching!
Great to see you back Cass. I love this rig but I have to say I miss the Air Stream Base Camp yet looking forward to your adventures in this one.
You and me both! Thanks for checking in and watching!
Woohoo. You’re back. Missed you guys 😁🤗
Yay! Thank you!
just found ure channel and am binge watching...loving it. Thanks for posting great videos
Awesome! Thank you! Appreciate you watching them!
Great job on the renovations!!
Thank you!
It looks great Cass. I'm so glad to see a video from you. I've missed seeing you.
Thank you so much!
I’m a new subscriber to your channel. I’ve been watching your previous videos and you gave me the inspiration to go truck camping versus van. Thanks for all the tips you have provided in your videos especially with how you travel with your two “sons” Jasper and Napoleon. I will have a dog too when I pursue truck camper living.
Awesome! Thank you!
I absolutely love this little camper. Very nice build
Thanks so much!
Glad to see you again.
Thanks!
The remodel came out great, I never thought about the issue with not being able to sit comfortably on the bench, I was wondering why you didn’t have any swivel table there. I would look at the Lance 825. It seems to be a very nice and spacious truck camper yet it still has a sizable wet bath without being too cramped. We all can’t wait to see what you get next!
Thanks!! I’ll check them out. I’m curious where we’ll end up next too 😂
I was just thinking about your channel and boom, there you are. Awesome.
Thanks!! Appreciate you watching
Great job with the re-do!
Thanks!
SICK! nice job!
Thanks!
Great.to have you and your fur babies Back Cass. Stay safe👍🙋♀️🐶🐈
Thank you!!
An amazing layout for such a small space, but it looks like a modern kitchen that you'd see on remodeling show. Very well done.
Thank you very much!
what an awesome setup
Thanks!
looks really good.....good luck with it. been awhile since I have seen your videos....looking good
Thanks for watching!
Very nice work. Looks great. Thanks from. Sc.
Thanks 👍
Wow! Truck Camper You Did it Great Job 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Great job on the camper . And thanks for showing us around . Aloha 🤙🏾
Thanks for watching!!
So wonderful to see you, thanks for the tour, the camper looks amazing you did an amazing job, but without a bathroom and head space, it seems like a rough transition for a full timer….. great to hear from you !
Thank you so much!
Awesome renovation!
Thank you!
So nice to see you again! I like the work you’ve done on this camper. Well thought out and pleasing to the eye. I can see that the space is small and the challenges that will bring. Are you hitting the road anytime soon?
Have some plans for the spring hopefully!
How I wish it were mine! It's PERFECT.
Thanks!!! ❤️❤️
Awesome rig! 🔥
Thanks!
this thing is so sick 👏👏👏
Thank you!!
Great job on the camper easy to change it up further to with the seating in the future, I pleasure you watch new subscriber Blake from Canada will watch again😎
Trailer seems better fit. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I love this. I have a 20’ camper trailer. My little bathroom is my joy. After the beach or bike rides in the summer that hot shower is heaven. You have to hook something up outside maybe.
Agree! Those hot showers are the best.
Cass looking good, beautiful job. 👍
Thanks!
Incredible job 👏
Thank you!
@@TailsofWanderlust been kinda watching to see how this goes for you… almost bought a basecamp to pull behind my Runner, but had kind of that same off road, adventure rig vision…. Sooo, just bought a NL 9-6 last week down in Poncha Springs and a new truck to carry it. I believe I saw yours on the NL group;)…eager to see what’s next!
Looks great 👍✌️
Thanks 👍
Thanks for the Tour of the camper a friend had an artic Fox Camper that worked well on a 1ton I never looked inside it because I have my trailer that I am doing up now the Artic Fox is a 3 or 4 season Camper I think
As ever Stretch love what you did to it
Nice! Those Arctic Fox are beautiful just a bit bigger than I’d like.
I like the divider wall in the cabinet, thx for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful camper
Thanks!
👍👍nice unit!
Thank you!
Great job on renovation.
Thank you!
From your jaunt to nab the rig till this 9x reveovation= wow!
Please keep us abreast of Project Starlink.
Will do!
Nice to see you in front of the camera again. Job well done on the renovation and while it's nice, you point out a few key points that would make long term camping in your rig a challenge - limited bed space, no toilet and no shower and I might add no A/C. As for the "living room", def make it into storage. I would add a table that you can pull up near the fridge area that you can set your laptop on. Either pull up or a swivel model but working with the laptop on your lap will get old quick. I know in your Base Camp you mainly boondocked but new campers coming out now have beefed up lithium battery packages and low energy A/C units that equate to about 8hrs of run time on the A/C before the batteries reach 10%. If you stick with your truck camper, you might consider using that gap between your camper and sides of the truck as storage. I saw where one youtuber had custom boxes made that fit the area. Carried most of the stuff he would need if spending a lot of time outdoors - chairs, table, etc.
The original plan was to build storage along those areas as well. Just working out if it's worth my time to do that or sell the camper instead :). Thanks for watching!
Pull the base camp behind you! This is why a trailer has many benefits a small truck camper does not, especially the room. Having said that you did an amazing job with the renovation. Gave me some great ideas for my small trailer.
Thanks!
ESCAPE HATCH: Good for checking for something that might be around the vehicle, that you might not see in the windows.
Thanks for the Share.
Good call!
Looks really nice
Thanks!
I love and admire you,That said I've had 4 truck campers over 50 years and I feel that now that you have a heavier duty truck the tail maybe wagging the dog .Middle of the night or taco-tummy always had to have bathroom. On the plus side lots of problems = lots of content.
That is so true 😂
If you have video of the renovation would love to see them? Glad to see you are back.
I don't. I didn't share or film it since I was learning. Didn't want to spread inaccurate knowledge while I was figure it all out.
Cool, we have a pop up and a Bambi. Will have to make up mind for a long trip
Oh nice. It’s great you can decide between the two
What a great job well done indeed
Thanks!
NL brought them back! New videos of it just dropped on the internet a few weeks ago!
Awesome cool epik video good to see you 🤘❤❤❤👍
Hey, thanks
Awesome video
Thanks!
Looks great
Thanks!
Hey Cass nice to see you again! you did a great job iwth the camper although it's not what you dreamed of i can relate about Michael staying with you and a 85 lb jasper. Basecamp seemed so much bigger but the truck camper seems less work hitching up and stress of traveling. Good luck finding the perfect camper!
Thank you! Hopefully find it someday!
So happy to see you videoing your wandering again HOORAY!!! You have worked so hard to get the Nthrn Light 610? To look so fresh and comfortable. I’m sure you will have some innovative ideas to solve your ablutions situation and negate the interior heat for Jasper and Napoleon (Popperz). Looking forward to more soon. 🤘🏽✌🏽☮️ Peace out
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
The cabinet above the sink, could use for canned goods. Or use a plastic cake pan for silverware, it's what I use camping. I have a tent that fits in the truck bed.
Smart! Thanks!
@@TailsofWanderlust welcome, nice seeing you back!
For your bathroom, look on Amazon for hub style ice fishing tent. I just bought a red non insulated one for $80. Think it will handle the wind and no floor in them for showering. Also set up in a minute.
Interesting idea thank you
You got the same fridge that I have in my van. Consider a vent below it as well. I have not found that it gets the coldest. The more air flow the better that fridge works. Your truck won't even notice the camper on back!
Good to know! I’ve noticed that about the fridge so thanks for the info
@@TailsofWanderlust I went as far as putting a 12v computer fan to move the air behind it when REALLY hot.
@@firstchoicephoto oh wow ok good to know
Beautiful renovations,I would use the tiny locker for my spices and get rid of the magnetic holder!
Tried that, but I could never find what I was looking for. Definitely getting rid of the magnetic ones thou!
Great job
Thanks!
Very nice, but I think your airstream was alot better!!! Jmo 🥰💜 I watch whatever you do! Thank you for sharing ❤️
Thanks!! The Basecamp was definitely an amazing home while we had it.
Nice !
Thanks!
I love it. Wish I had something like this to live in fulltime
thanks for watching!
Nice job.
Thanks!
Aww 😅no bathroom 🚽 is a deal breaker. Thank you for the tour. Miss your videos
Thanks for watching!
