Amazing in both vision & execution, your camper is an absolute BEAST!! Well done! 👏
Thanks guys!
High praise indeed!
Saw you guys heading out from Costco parking lot in SG, Utah this afternoon. Totally recognized your rig after watching this video, because of your trademark camper door, and thinking wow that’s a big rig. Looking great! Enjoy your travels and be safe! Love your videos!
Of all the places to mention, haha. I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada yet I've had an eye exam in that Walmart. 🤣
Looking forward to viewing your travels in this new AWESOME rig. Glad to see you are taking a small reminder of your time in northern Canada on the Dempster. We have a plate from Tuk on our NL car.
When I was in the Tool Business for 35yrs I had numerous trucks over the years. My last truck was a International and tire balance was always an issue and since I drove it 5 days a week and if the tires were out of balance it would cause a lot of problems with the ride. Over those many years I tried all sorts of balance techniques like even golf balls balance powder and so on. The only real tried and true method was spin balance of the wheel that worked for me. Also I found that the Good Year Tires always worked the best for me. Everytime I did a tire change it was 6 tires and that's very expensive. That tire hub you have is very interesting.
Loved the video and the modifications you've made to your truck and camper. You have been a mentor for us and our planned trip to Alaska next spring.
The Mortons are definitely on the move...and nothing will stop this great rig, keep up the good work👌
Awesome. Love the design, capabilities, and clearly the experience brought into this truck RV. Curious the rough ballpark total spend to-date to get it to the current state. Any chance an RV manufacture will take your design and replicate?
I have been waiting for this video on your expedition/overland truck camper. Well done! I have also been following some others who have converted used Type-1 Medium Duty Truck (MDT) 4x4 ambulances such as Greg and Ginger at
Driven To Adventures. They originally had a truck camper similar to what you have and then built up a fully custom interior in an ambulance from scratch. See their video at: ruclips.net/video/mcmnLDjCXEM/видео.html Obviously, the camper can't be removed like yours, so it is single use vehicle, BUT because of the Class 7 (MDT) chassis, it can pull a trailer with toys and go off road! Looks like you are having a ball with the rig. Enjoy!
Thank you! :)
Amazing job you done with the old Big Foot camper! You give me a lot of inspiration to renovate my old Lance Camper! Continue to do the great job you done for the lovers of full time Rv people! Congrats!
Thank you! :)
Amazing job, love all the additions and updates! Great ideas.... looking forward to your adventures.
So many great ideas! My favorite truck camper build/reno. I’m in a stock Northstar TC and love it but the engineering and ingenuity of your home on big wheels is absolutely brilliant! Well done.
Wow! What a great renovation! Now, let’s go where we’ve never been before nor even imagined… I’m looking forward for all the adventures that lies ahead. Stay safe stay well and always enjoy the journey! 🙏🏻♥️
Excellent camper build and video. A lot of engineering work had to be done. Read that the manufacturer Loki Basecamp is opening a factory in Colorado in 2022. All your upgrade ideas are definitely Chief Engineer level ideas. Entire Camper has all the comforts of a six figure cost level camper
It’s hard to believe that you transformed that dated interior into the beauty you have now. Love the counters, the vibrant splashes of color, new fabrics and your re-use of many original parts and pieces. All the technical stuff is over my head, but I appreciate the amazing capabilities you’ve built into this reinvented rig of yours. Thanks for sharing the results with us.
Thank you so much!
Wow! Your rig turned out awesome. Hope to see it in person out on the road. Thanks for sharing .
You gave me lots of inspiration for modifying my bigfoot 2500 and gmc 3500 into a full time unit. Are you able to get a signal anywhere with the starlink system? I thought it was locked to a certain location?
This has been a very thorough walk through! Great rig!
Awesome build! I am incredibly impressed. Your videos are even greater! I had a smaller and older big foot on my f350 that I sold to some lucky soul. Now I am in the middle of building out my Sprinter 144” 4x4. I was wondering why you use three solar 75-10 controllers for your three solar panels. I saw your battery video analysis 🧐 so I am certain you have a very good reason. 30 years ago, probably before you were born I had a flat flexible solar panel on my sail boat that was very inferior to rigid panels. Recently a utube in Arizona reported loosing a couple of his flat panels because they did not have enough air circulating behind them, the hot summer AZ rays may have fried them! I don’t know. I grew up in Michigan, where were you there? Go BLUE! Looking forward to many more of your thoughtful videos.
BRILLIANT! Well and beautifully done. Peace, happy & safe travels.
It looks so comfy & welcoming. A place that is enjoyable to be in when not outside.
Great vide. Love the Truck and Camper.
Great build. The orange door gives it a unique look. I love it!
Thanks!
if you have best internet.........you are freelancer.......earning a lot online.........motor home like this is best to live in wild places with your partner.......may Allah bless you a lot
Subscribed because of Chad from living the van life, greetings from the Netherlands
Hello and welcome!
Folks, how do you get Starlink to work when you’re changing locations? I had understood that the terminal is tied to a specific cell location on the ground and can’t be moved to another cell without a registration process of some kind. Thanks for all the good information!
Yup you have to move the address every time you move, not an ideal situation yet, but it's got alot of potential. We haven't been able to use it everywhere yet.
She is absolutely amazing!! Nice overland vehicle as well 😉
Thank you! 👍
Great rig! Love keeping track of your progression. Buddy, just wanted to add that you have great hair! Don't take it the wrong way (not that there's anything wrong with that...) and I might be the only one, but yeah...keep on trucking!
what an awesome build! that opening shot of the camper surrounded by beautiful scenery looked like a commercial!
Some of the places we have been feel like commercials for sure!
I think we are as excited as you are. Looking forward to sharing all your new adventures in the new rig.
You sly RV’ers, just a heads up going north on rt 95 from Georgia, South Carolina sucks in rest stops , Pedreo has been dead for 30 years. South of the Border is a tourist trap.. That said however North Carolina has awesome rest stops, divided up by 3 cars / trucks / Rv’s, utilize NC rest stops overnight. They also have water,, but no dump. Jump over South Carolina..
Northern bounders…
Ans decent coffee in vending.
Rocky Mount is NC’ best rest stop to overnight. Safe lite, and non eventful 10 years running,
Take the right most spot, puts you on the curb with grass for the dogs in the island.
You must be the first person I’ve ever seen BLOCK off their headlights! So thoughtful! Safe travels guys!
??
What was the remodel cost for camper and truck. I am considering a remodel of my 2011 3500 Sprinter with a Winnebago View Preview back. Your quality and thoughtfulness is similar ti my own. My left foot was amputated so my recovery time is approximately 6 months - it would be excellent if my first steps were into my remodeled rig to rejoin my bucket list.
I haven't run the final.figures yet but it looks like it's gonna come.in around 80k all told for purchase and renovation. The remodel itself was around 10k but most of that was the electrical system.
Months later only 4 things I would like to add.
F750 @ 30,000 GWWR
180 gallons of water
6.7 with 10 speed trans for fuel economy.
A real shower into a grey tank,, nothing better than a shower after a long day in no where.
This is an awesome build.
Contact info for Jason. I’ll be running into the same issue if/when I decide to install the 12v DC dometic in my sleeper dodge. It’s an even smaller roof area
I have over 500,000 miles on my motorcycles with Centramatic balancers. These magic devices are on the 3rd Gold Wing, and I expect one of my relatives will inherit them.
Great video, super looking camper. I have a 2008 Host Everest that I have done some updating but needs a lot more. I think I will need to steal some of your great ideas! Thank you for such a detailed description!! Have Fun!
I have a 1994 Bigfoot same model. Also thinking about the composting T. And what about then ditching the black water tank replacing with a freshwater tank. Mmm. I don't
Just found your channel, love what you did with this setup! Random but where you in Estes Park in June? We camped and remember seeing a setup like this there.
You know, I've been watching your channel since you did the tesla battery project, and had no idea that I hadn't subscribed. I'm just starting a truck camper reno on a 27 yo unit. You gave me some new ideas. As always great content. Thanks
I got a new ultimate truck plan. Ram 4500 buck stop conversion, Carli 6 inch dominator kit, 42 inch wheels, triple compound turbo, roll cage
Hi, we are an emerging outdoor clothing company known for our unique fabrics and sustainable practices. We've been really enjoying your content and would love to collaborate if you are interested. Just in case, we’ve also sent you an email about it with more details. Anyways, have a nice day! -Carson, Founder@Seadon.
Great build, nicer than many of the adventure trucks companies are selling for $300k +
Awesome, I'm Jealous!! Enjoy and safe travels to your next destination.
Question: I live near Bellingham, WA and want to know what company you purchased your converted Single from in Kodiak?
One last thing my Tool Trucks were never off road so stuff stuck in the tire tread was not an issue for me. I just sold my Cirrus Camper and F350 a few weeks back. For the time that I owned it I had Mechellin Tires and they were great.
Damn. A white microwave. The rest of my appliances are white in my cargo conversion. My intended microwave is black. Damn.
Excellent video..nicely detailed. I have been exploring doing the exact same thing right down to the Ram 5500. One of my concerns is the height of the rig... what did you guys come in at for overall height? Have you had any issues due to the height (tippy feeling, branches underpasses..etc)? Thanks for putting out this vid. Stay safe guys
12' to the top of the AC. The height is mainly an issue with tree branches. We carry an electric pole saw to trim as needed.
LED ruins your eyes and is not good for the environment... just an FYI.
Thank you for all the valuable resource information!
Pretty cool. I have been researching a slide in truck camper. My wife & I are both teachers & basically empty nesters that love to travel. I just feel like this type of travel rig would fit our lifestyle and the way that we want to travel. I don't see us being able to go as extreme as you guys, for several years. However, I would like to look at getting a smaller & lighter camper to try out and see how we like on a few trips. Then possibly upgrade if we see that it is something that we really like.
We have a custom built, convertible teardrop camper that I built in 2013. We have traveled all over the eastern half of the U.S. with it, but I think that a truck camper might actually fit our "let's just go & see" style of traveling better.
Enjoying your videos.
You and your husband did a wonderful job. It is such a beautiful camper and the way that you incorporate in the colors makes it that much better
I thought Starlink is "locked" to a single service address. How are you managing this, especially when you are in "the middle of nowhere" where you might not even have (or know) an actual address?
Life should be an Adventure, but few actually make it a priority or can. I passed on the 5th wheel and am looking at an off-road/grid tc with the rig to get me on the roads less traveled. The transformation of your Big Foot tc is amazing. The best part is the way you present and share so many details and things to consider before making a bad decision too late in. Many thanks for all you guys share, both on your Adventures and what you've done to get there. 🗻🗺🛣🏞😊👍
My Gosh. You two are unbelievably creative in the designs and upgrades to your truck-camper. Both the outside and interior modifications are utterly impressive. Do you still have your Lance Camper? That was also quite a masterpiece. And above all, both you Caitlyn and Tom are just super narrator and make the video so much fun to watch. Ha ha ha, hope there are no porcupines in your new travels.
Hi Morton's can you help us out? We are about to get on the road down to Florida in our camper and what you're doing has been my dream for years and years! For now we are going to try finding places to stay in Florida for a couple of weeks! Hoping you can help us navigate!! Can we exchange phone numbers or private messaging of some type? Thank you very much!
Amazing. Awesome job. Can't wait for your new adventures on the road in the new truck exploration camper. Congrats
Thank you!
Hope you're not offended, but I'm TOTALLY gonna copy this setup.
It's freakin perfect!! The first truck camper interior that feels like a travel trailer. Even the loft bed is big. Well done.
Thank you! We love it!
I'm curious about the weight of the entire rig when in use and the gross weight rating of the truck.
Did you upgrade the brakes to match the added weight of the tires and wheels?
God bless you guys as you explore more and more of His wonderful creations.
سلام این کمپر خیلی خوب
ساخته شده وامکانات خوبی داره 🍀🍀🌺🌺🍀🍀
When you went to Alaska you used a Ford and I believe you had a Dodge before that that had some problems, which brand do you prefer for the long journeys ?
Looks great! What are your thoughts on the rubber roof of the older model BigFoot vs the full fiberglass of the newer ones? Any issues or concerns? Thanks
love the rig! love the vids! lots to learn from you guys and I really appreciate it!
Thanks!
Didn’t hear ya mention where you store the fly rods 🤷🏻♂️
Excellent renovation. Good job!
You didn’t post the model number of your Gast air compressor, or the website where you can find more information on it? Could you possibly update the video description with that information?
Best use a portable electric fence when camping bear country. 2.4 lbs for a good night’s sleep
This has been quite the adventure building this out, learn more about it over on the blog - www.mortonsonthemove.com/truck-camper-renovation/
Also check out the first adventure in this rig - ruclips.net/video/Ph_eHKnIBRs/видео.html
Actually, it started well, actually, but actually, the word actually is a bit overused.. really. I got a few minutes in, actually, that was all I could stand.
Click
سلام🙋.....من از ایران برنامه شما رو میبینم کمپ خیلی عالی دارین 👍👍👏👏👏
How's that touch faucet working out for you? My concern is that it might go off just from being jostled around?
Bathroom sink not just looks cool but bigger and more functional … lol
Where specifically should I look in Alaska for the exact same kind of truck you have thanks for all your help
Wow! Excellent camper it's awesome 👌 Who makes the rear seat in your truck that's awesome 👌!
Your tuner should have a way to put tire size in and make speedo right but with tires as large as yours don’t know if it correct your speed for them . My Bullydog has that feature and works dead on .
That is a amazing rig. My question is how is the 12 ac doing a year later ? We are thinking about switching over to a 12 volt unit.
Found you through LTVL loved your Truck and you guys seem awesome! Subscribed!! 🐕
Thank you and welcome! :)
Cool rv but 5 mins i had to turn sound off and captions. Dude sounds like hes doing a tech reveal for some start up and like he definitely thinks hes special
Very nice build. Hope that you continue to enjoy it and wishing for you many safe excursions.

Would you recommend the Back up Camera and Rear view mirror you had in this video?
What size are those tires on your rig sir?please send reply.nice rig man.
We currently run Goodyear G275 MSA 335/80/R20 military tires. They’re 41″ in diameter and 12″ wide.
@@MortonsontheMove you guys are awsome thank you for your immediate reponse.do you have any serious sway problems on highway sir?I have 37 12.50 on mine lifted.speed you recommened please.some highways are 70 mph here in virginia.from your experience ,do you recommend smaller tires?
So disappointed, you have to realize most people watching a detailed video would want to know what the cost was.
What’s the brand of the truck led lights?
You two must be a bad influence. Make that horrible! I just bought a 2001 Bigfoot 2500 10.6. It's my second 10.6 Bigfoot, having stupidly sold the first one years ago. Yeah, I "blame" you. While it's old enough to drink, its been stored inside, doesn't leak and everything works. I even like the colors. Yeah, a bad influence... all the way to the boondocks! Thanks for encouraging us regular people!
LOL! Hope you enjoy your new-to-you Bigfoot! :)
Enjoyed your video. Thought about selling my 5th wheel to do the same. Looks good in there.
All that money spent and you didn't do a headlight led/hid retrofit? Then u can use the headlights and not blind people.
Super nice build I must say. Although I sold my Cirrus Camper for now I would definitely buy another Cirrus I liked the Alde heating system which I don't think can be beat anything out there.
hydronic heating is fantastic!
WOW those anchor chains etc don't look very heavy duty ???
Awesome rig Mort.
Where can I purchase a rear power seat which converts into a bed like your truck? Thank you
What is the length of the flatbed?
Love what you have done with the truck.
Have you considered renting this rig out now? I know I would like to!
I get nervous just seeing how close to the edge of that mega drop you parked.
Could u2 offer recipes u enjoy , easily made in ur truck camper for 2.
Great video and thank you for sharing your fantastic RV with us. Your hard work has paid off in spades. May I ask please, what does the truck camper weigh? What is your total vehicle weight? Are there back-country bridges that you can't cross due to weight? I know there is one on Onion Creek near Moab that is posted as 5 ton limit for example. Happy and free travels to you!
Question, you gave a tuner, bit you haven't tuned it for the tire size? Why not?
Which company product did you use to change out your stereo and speakers?
