  • For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
    ✅ HolySunshine focuses on sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching the Word of God, using Koine (Biblical) Greek, English, and Korean.
    ✅ All English Scripture quotations are from the ESV Bible unless otherwise indicated. All Greek Scripture quotations are from Nestle 1904 GNT Η ΚΑΙΝΗ ΔΙΑΘΗΚΗ Text by Eberhard Nestle, courtesy of sites.google.com/site/nestle1904/ or Byzantine textform 2005, by Robinson and Pierpont unless otherwise indicated. *Greek Scripture quotations of this video are from the Byzantine textform 2005, by Robinson and Pierpont.
    ✅ HolySunshine uses the Erasmian pronunciation when speaking Koine Greek. (Even though the Erasmian pronunciation is made up for the academic reasons and sounds quite different from Modern Greek, it is being used in most seminaries and familiar to many people who want to learn Koine Greek.)
    ✅ HolySunshine prohibits unlawful downloading, duplication, or distribution of vidoes. These following types of comments will be deleted without any further explanations: Comments that ignore the context and make up his or her own interpretation of the Bible so that become a stumbling block to those who read them and comments for arguement about the Word of God.

    The Erasmian pronunciation is spoken in this video, which is used in most seminaries (as far as I know) and is familiar to many people who learn Koine (Biblical) Greek. Thank you for watching this video!

    Where's the word "begotten" in it?

    • @HolySunshine
      @HolySunshine  2 года назад

      Sikandar, τὸν μονογενῆ means "one and only," "the only begotten."

      @@HolySunshine Monogenes has two primary definitions, "pertaining to being the only one of its kind within a specific relationship" and "pertaining to being the only one of its kind or class, unique in kind".
      Thus monogenēs (μονογενής) may be used both as an adjective monogenēs pais, meaning unique and special. Its Greek meaning is often applied to mean "one of a kind, one and only". Monogenēs may be used as an adjective. For example, monogenēs pais means only child.
      The word is used in Hebrews 11:17-19 to describe Isaac, the son of Abraham. However, Isaac was not the only-begotten son of Abraham, but was the chosen, having special virtue.

      @@godismysavior6428 This is from the Strong's Concordance:
      κόσμος - Definition: order, the world. Usage: the world, universe; worldly affairs; the inhabitants of the world; adornment. Hope this helps!
