As I told Round2 on their RUclips channel (as for some reasons I'm unable to post on their FB page), this kit is amasing, but 2 feet long is too big for my apartment unfortunately. :_:
Great kit and great kit review by you as always. "soup ladle" haha - Chris does this have a detailed bridge and if so can it be viewed by removable panels? Can't wait to see your build on this baby. I know you'll make it the pride of the Klingon fleet. - Phil
That is a sweet looking kit. I've got the 1/350 refit Enterprise in the stash and she was an expensive purchase here in England so I can imagine that the 1/350 K'Tinga and lighting kit will be as equally expensive. Unfortunately the Enterprise is a big Lady so She's still in the box and She is moulded in blue plastic which I'm told is rarer. The good folks on here will be able to verify whether that is true or not
The original "Polar Lights" version was molded in pale blue (at least every copy I've seen was). When Round 2 did their first reissue (the one with the full aztec decals), they did it in white. They've recently re-re-released it, identically to the second release but removing the aztec decals from the kit (but still selling them separately , I believe). You can tell if you have the original Polar Lights release, partly by the color, but more significantly, but the stand. The original release had a three-point-support system... two supports into the rear underside of the saucer, and one into the lower secondary hull. The "Round 2" re-releases have a single attachment point, using a metal rod into the stand. Both the original PL kit and the first R2 re-release used a stand that looks like the drydock from ST-TMP. I BELIEVE (I could be mistaken) that the newest re-release uses a "Dome stand" like seen in the video above. So... to tell which you have... look for two things. Look at the base... does it have a single largish hole, or three smaller holes? And is there a sheet of "aztec panel" decals in the kit?
Yeah mine has the rectangular 'spacedock' stand. The supports dont look as though they would carry the entire weight of the finished model though. No Aztecs though
I gutted my Klingon battle cruiser years ago and ran my own LED lights. Likes awesome. I'm now wanting to see this one together and do a side by. Side. Lol!
I really really really want to buy this but I have run out of room for big models. only small ones for me now:( Only big one's I have lying around is the ds9 AMT kit and the Revell kazon fighter after those my room is full
Wouldn’t it be nice if all kits came in black? At least all military kits. It would save me from having to buy so much black paint for my shadow coat. This is such a cool kit! Thanks for showing it!
Is this a snap together kit or just those glue together kits? I prefer Snap together no gluing kits that you can play with such as the 2004 Klingon D7 snap together model kit!
My kit arrived today. I agree with all the things he says. This kit is BITCHEN (Hey! I'm from California, I'm authorized to write "Bitchen!!). My lighting kit is enroute. This will be such a great companion to the STTMP Enterprise.... Yee haw!
I really want this thing, but at 2 ft long and 18 inches wide, I just don't have a place large enough to display it. But the AMT 1/537 version may be doable in my situation.
@@anselford3753 Yeah a place like Hobby Lobby isn't going to stock that, but online places have it in stock today. Check the link in the description and places like CultTvMan hobby store.
I love your enthusiasm. Great unboxing!
Thanks Steve!
Can't wait to see your build man!!
Thanks!
Round 2, really thought this one through. Bravo! Wish more Sci-fi kits were molded in black. Time saver.
You bet Greg, it's pretty cool and it will be the biggest plastic kit I've ever built!
I'll be watching for this build.
You better watch!
How did you get yours so soon. I pre-ordered mine and talked to Round2 today and they said it won't be shipping out til middle of November.

I'm going to have to find some space as well, she's a big mama!
I wish you were more excited about this kit. Can't wait to see it completed.
Hahahaha, I'll have to go buy a gallon of green soon!
Nicely done! I'm looking forward to your build
Thanks!
Amazing!!!!!!
You bet!
Very cool Chris...Keep up the great work! Thanks...
Thank you Mike, glad you stopped by!

Thanks for watching!
Man oh man I am so dang jealous this is number one model on my list saving up
You can do it!

In the words of George Takei...."Oh my" ! Thanks for sharing this Chris. Now to see if the wife will get me one for Christmas !
Or just sneak one in the house, she'll never notice!

I did a full build of this soon after, it's on the channel. Thanks man, and thanks for watching!

Always room to glue them upside down on the ceiling! hehe

Yes on some it would be a great advantage. Thanks for watching!
Cant wait to watch you build this one my friend!
Thanks! Hope I do well on it!
Incredible really. Pretty exciting. Kenny will be all over this one. Hey, are you gonna review the Ford Cruising van?
Thanks!
Funny you should ask, just finished the 77 van last night and will make the video live this week. :)
@@hpiguy oh boy! Cool! Gonna get that one for sure! Looking forward to it. :)
Boy. Howdy! That thing is a beast!
That's a big pile of styrene!

Awsome model!! How do I order one?
Links are in the description for both kits. Preorders are being taken now.

Sweet!

Kits this large and complex will be glue kits.
Oh great! Another gluing kit! Not fair for younger kids!
Any rumors od a 1/350 d-7?
Sorry, I'm not a part of the inner circle on planning on those. Wish I was!

Too funny...LOL

Wooohooooooo
Not quite my thing, but can't wait to see it built up.
Thanks Shannon. I like just about anything plastic!
@@hpiguy And I enjoy your builds of anything plastic.
Holy POOP i won't one won't be this side of christmas.
Should be out this year.

$70.00+ is not reasonably priced. If it's anything like the Lighting Kit that came with the Refit Enterprise, its crap!
This light kit and photoetch work perfectly and fit the kit like a glove.
The worst name ever for a portuguese speaker, because "KTINGA" sounds like "stinky" in my language
