- Hello Silver Foxes,It's Jude, and Kaleb, and we are bringing you this week’s newsletter!
Before we begin, make sure to like this video, subscribe to our RUclips channel, and hit the notification bell to ensure you don’t miss any important announcements.
We would also like to give a special thanks to our sponsors for their continued support of our school.
Because of testing schedules, we have been unable to create a newsletter for the past two weeks.
As a result of this, we have several special events, multiple concerts, and some end of the year events that are upcoming to discuss.
That’s a lot of information, so let’s get started!
There are no more students of the week so we’ll just say congratulations again to all the students of the week from this year!
WAY TO GO!!!
On Friday, May 10th, the TOMS 8th Grade Students had a wonderful time celebrating at the dance! Students and staff alike enjoyed their time and we thank the Student Council and all of our staff for helping to make it a great night!
Our TOMS Fine Arts Department has had an incredibly busy two weeks with spring concerts from Orchestra, Band, and Chorus, a trip to Orlando, and announcements of two big awards. With so much to cover, we’ve created a whole segment…
The Ten Oaks Middle School Fine Arts Department traveled to Orlando last weekend and it was a big success!
Our Band Performed first and their energetic and disciplined performance received a rating of Superior from the panel of judges. They then participated in a mini-clinic with one of the judges where they received valuable critique that they can bring back to their rehearsals here at Ten Oaks.
Then, the TOMS Orchestra and Chorus Programs combined for a phenomenal performance that also received a rating of superior from the judges. They received a mini-clinic from two of the judges as well.
But the main attraction of the weekend was all of the good times and great friendships that were celebrated in Universal Studios.
All three of our performance ensembles gave their Spring Concerts in the last two weeks and each of them were awesome! Here are some highlights from each!
Our Orchestra program recently received the 2023- 24 Outstanding Performance Award from the South Carolina Music Educators Association. They were awarded the Gold Level OPA Award, which is the highest achievement for the orchestra programs in the state of South Carolina.
Our Band program was also awarded an OPA last month by the South Carolina Band Directors Association.
On Tuesday, May 28th, we will host a parent information night here at Ten Oaks for all Rising 6th Graders that will begin attending in the Fall.
We will share information about our school with you, let you know about after school clubs, take you on a tour of the building and more!
We can't wait to welcome our new Silver Foxes to Ten Oaks Middle!
CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Teah Grant and the entire Ten Oaks Yearbook Staff! Ten Oaks Middle School was Named Jostens 2024 National Yearbook Program of Excellence recipient!
Speaking of the yearbook, TOMS 7th Grade Students, are you self-motivated, responsible and interested in helping to create the 2025 yearbook? Pick up an application in Ms Grant’s room.
As a reminder, starting this Thursday, May 30th, bookbags and backpacks will no longer be required.
It will be your student's choice to bring one through the end of the school year, June 5th.
Next week, we will hold awards and promotion ceremonies for all three grade levels.
Monday there will be two ceremonies to accommodate our 8th grade class! The first will be at 9:15am and the second will be at 1:30pm.
Then on Tuesday, the 7th grade will have their ceremony at 9:15am.
And we’ll finish with the 6th grade ceremony on Wednesday, also at 9:15am.

Why Blake?
It was craving a well-balanced meal.

I have no idea. Tell me.
An in-vest-igator.
