Our next football game will be taking place at our home stadium at CFHS. Make sure you get your tickets at CFHSPANTHERS.COM
As a reminder, students attending our athletic events must have a parent, guardian, or responsible adult with them for the entire game.
Last Friday was the TOMS Science Club Kayaking trip on the Black River Cypress Preserve!
The Black River Cypress preserve was created to inspire, activate and educate citizens about the extraordinary blackwater swamps and native pinelands of the South Carolina coastal plain.
They had perfect weather and it was a great learning experience for all!
Last week, TOMS PTO kicked off the start of the Boosterthon Fundraiser with the help of our Discovery Teachers!
This fundraiser will run through this Friday, culminating in our Color Run!
Students who register are entered for daily drawings for fabulous prizes.
We kicked off the assemblies with 7th grade!
Congratulations to this week's TOMS Staff Member of the Week!
Congratulations to Mrs. Ashby, our TOMS Staff Member of the Week!
Mrs. Ashby is an 8th Grade Social Studies/SC History teacher, and proud to say she is one of the original teachers that opened Ten Oaks 8 years ago!
Her favorite memory of middle school was marching with the high school band as a 6th grader in the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade.
My advice to my middle school self would be... Practice, practice, practice, study, study, study. You may not end up perfect, but you will be better than you were yesterday.
Each week TOMS focuses on a positive characteristic that we would like to see students exhibit. Teachers can pick only one of their 100 students (more like 200 if you are a Discovery Teacher) who they observe exhibiting this characteristic.
Students who receive a Silver Dollar ticket from a teacher can exchange the ticket for a prize from our prize carts and be entered into a quarterly drawing for a bigger prize! So make sure to be on your best behavior.
This week our caught being good program theme is Showing Kindness in the Hallways.
Kindness is caring about others and doing things to help make their lives better. It allows us to connect with other people and build meaningful relationships.
Take time to say hello to those we see, hold doors for other people, and assist those who need help.
We are excited to be on the lookout for all our students that are “Caught Being Good” by showing kindness in the hallways.
HERE IS THIS WEEK'S LUNCH MENU
On Monday we will be having Chicken Chunks with veggie nibblers.
Tuesday we will be having chicken bog with sausage and veggie nibblers.

Dad Joke of the Week!
Why didn’t the skeleton go to the dance?
Because he had no-BODY to go with.
And before we go, here’s a sampling of some of the performances from Friday Karaoke here at TOMS!
