Thank you for your great and empathetic reaction to this masterpiece. In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. During his concerts he always tells the audience he loves all people in every country. He visited so many different counties with his concerts and he realized that there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And OMG he is such a phenomenal actor. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of th e war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony. Yes, it is very much a movie, a film, a motion picture in its own right. Having seen it before, when I watch a reaction to it, it’s basically a case of, take a deep breath, and click. Because I think it’s essentially the most well-done and powerful long form music video I’ve ever seen. It’s said Dimash spent some $3M dollars and 3 years in total creating it. And in the end he truly crafted a legitimate masterpiece.
no one mention on key moment how the boy became a brutal commander, and all war started, I think the idea was about the anger he held as being a boy not chosen by the girl, even after saving Dimash boy, which grew in him to a monster. we need to learn how to release the pain and forgive. The Dimash boy thanked him with the medallion , but the other boy didn't appreciated it and kept the wrong emotion inside him.

These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky - The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. Dimash takes his revenge on his former friend. The new baby represented a new innocent life beginning as the father dies. (And he does die) also the mother died in childbirth. The baby grew up to be a leader of men who seek peace. He wore his parents necklace, to always remember. One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. My interpretation is Dimash was the boy who almost drowned, his friend who saved him, was rebuked by the girl on the beach, and she chose Dimash. We see him hesitant to accept the gift from Dimash on the beach. He grows up to lead hate & destruction, Dimash and the girl marry, and have a daughter, the young girl clutching the stuffed animal when the soldiers barge into the house. The girl is killed, and the mother escapes and gives birth to their son at the moment of Dimash's death. In his father's image, the son grows to be the "piper" to lead people to peace......By the way, his LIVE version of this is even better, it also allows you to concentrate on the voice.

close but not exactly. The man at the end(Dimash) is actually his son, who was the newborn baby. Here's the timeline. 3 childhood friends. Two got married when they grew up , and the other boy grew up to become the dictator. Dimash(the boy who married the girl) joined the revolt against the regime. During the conflict his wife went into labor, giving birth in a shelter. Meanwhile his daughter, who is shown initially with her pregnant mother, is with relatives when they are caught up in a sweep by govt. troops thru that apartment building, and the little girl was somehow killed. Dimash found his little girl during a cessation in the battle. HIs wife delivered a son who he never got to see because he sought out the dictator to exact revenge for his daughters murder. They both(Dimash and ex friend) ended up dead. It doesn't show whether Dimash's wife survived the birth or what may have remained of the conflict after Dimash killed the dictator. But his newborn son is shown years later, grown up wearing the necklace (whether it is mom's or dad's is uncertain), and the last scene is Dimash's son rejecting the violence and leading others toward the distant light..... As for your last statement hoping that people will come to a greater understanding of each other , and turn away from war......Man has been warring throughout his history....I don't think its in our nature to live peacefullly because we have not evolved to a plain of spiritual existence where our higher selves can free us from our base primitive instincts that are deeply embedded in our nature. We have a long way to go to even begin to discard our tribal divisions....they are just too intertwined with us in every way.......Family, nation, language, school, town, state, religion, culture, region, ethnicity, race, history, et al......all elements of tribal distinction that permeate everything we do..... so integral to our lives that it would be very difficult to to leave them behind. It is tremendous, but I could watch it only once. I recommend 'War and Peace' from the digital concert.Very powerful, just not as overwhelming for my hypersensitive being as this one. Everything from the digital concert is phenomenal. It was his gift to the Dears mid pandemic. I think for 10 bucks you could watch it live, and a day later or so all the songs were available for free here.

My understanding is that the desert scenes represent afterlife - therefore they start straight after the mass killings of civilians and again after Dimash character’s death. In the afterlife people of all religions are together walking through hurdles towards the light as final destination (not everyone will reach it as one man’s demise on the way in the desert reflects).
Dimash's character at the end was the baby boy grown up. His character married the girl/woman character, & the later little girl was his daughter, killed by the senseless war brought on by the dictator.
I wholeheartedly agree. I work in healthcare in the US and I think the for-profit insurance companies have ruined our healthcare system! They are the main reason medical care costs so much in this country. They have so much power, I don't know if they will ever be stopped.

I had to rush him to the ER and he was in the ICU for 7 days and on a vent for 2 days. From what I understand, the woman is the girl from the beginning and the "piper" wanted her for himself since childhood. He resented them because she married Dimash's character. In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself.
The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it.
He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay.

As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. During his concerts he always tells the audience he loves all people in every country. He visited so many different counties with his concerts and he realized that there are no bad nations (only bad leaders).
And OMG he is such a phenomenal actor.
Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace.
In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Om", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches.

By the way Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. Hello friend! Thank you for your sincere reaction! You have analyzed this video very well, except for the end. When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!
Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of th e war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that?
Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History.
This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it:
This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform.
1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end.
2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end.
3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war.
“People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead.
For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony.

Yes, it is very much a movie, a film, a motion picture in its own right. Having seen it before, when I watch a reaction to it, it’s basically a case of, take a deep breath, and click. Because I think it’s essentially the most well-done and powerful long form music video I’ve ever seen. It’s said Dimash spent some $3M dollars and 3 years in total creating it. And in the end he truly crafted a legitimate masterpiece.

no one mention on key moment how the boy became a brutal commander, and all war started, I think the idea was about the anger he held as being a boy not chosen by the girl, even after saving Dimash boy, which grew in him to a monster. we need to learn how to release the pain and forgive. The Dimash boy thanked him with the medallion , but the other boy didn't appreciated it and kept the wrong emotion inside him.

(1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya!
(2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time);
(3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky -
The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. Dimash takes his revenge on his former friend. The new baby represented a new innocent life beginning as the father dies. (And he does die) also the mother died in childbirth. The baby grew up to be a leader of men who seek peace. He wore his parents necklace, to always remember. One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER. This video needs to be shown worldwide. Something else I noticed is in his dying breath he sang (We're Choosing Life) as he finally passed away now that is powerful
My interpretation is Dimash was the boy who almost drowned, his friend who saved him, was rebuked by the girl on the beach, and she chose Dimash. We see him hesitant to accept the gift from Dimash on the beach. He grows up to lead hate & destruction, Dimash and the girl marry, and have a daughter, the young girl clutching the stuffed animal when the soldiers barge into the house. The girl is killed, and the mother escapes and gives birth to their son at the moment of Dimash's death. In his father's image, the son grows to be the "piper" to lead people to peace......By the way, his LIVE version of this is even better, it also allows you to concentrate on the voice.

close but not exactly. The man at the end(Dimash) is actually his son, who was the newborn baby. Here's the timeline. 3 childhood friends. Two got married when they grew up , and the other boy grew up to become the dictator. Dimash(the boy who married the girl) joined the revolt against the regime. During the conflict his wife went into labor, giving birth in a shelter. Meanwhile his daughter, who is shown initially with her pregnant mother, is with relatives when they are caught up in a sweep by govt. troops thru that apartment building, and the little girl was somehow killed. Dimash found his little girl during a cessation in the battle. HIs wife delivered a son who he never got to see because he sought out the dictator to exact revenge for his daughters murder. They both(Dimash and ex friend) ended up dead. It doesn't show whether Dimash's wife survived the birth or what may have remained of the conflict after Dimash killed the dictator. But his newborn son is shown years later, grown up wearing the necklace (whether it is mom's or dad's is uncertain), and the last scene is Dimash's son rejecting the violence and leading others toward the distant light..... As for your last statement hoping that people will come to a greater understanding of each other , and turn away from war......Man has been warring throughout his history....I don't think its in our nature to live peacefullly because we have not evolved to a plain of spiritual existence where our higher selves can free us from our base primitive instincts that are deeply embedded in our nature. We have a long way to go to even begin to discard our tribal divisions....they are just too intertwined with us in every way.......Family, nation, language, school, town, state, religion, culture, region, ethnicity, race, history, et al......all elements of tribal distinction that permeate everything we do..... so integral to our lives that it would be very difficult to to leave them behind. We need way more ....way, way more Dimash's in the world....

It is tremendous, but I could watch it only once. I recommend 'War and Peace' from the digital concert.Very powerful, just not as overwhelming for my hypersensitive being as this one. Everything from the digital concert is phenomenal. It was his gift to the Dears mid pandemic. I think for 10 bucks you could watch it live, and a day later or so all the songs were available for free here.

This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. Story: The clip is divided into several parts. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he almost drowns. The three children are friends and their common external symbol is the necklace (gnomon).
Both boys are in love with the girl. But she chooses “Dimash”. The other boy feels hurt.
The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which served as a nautical compass in ancient times. This symbol is upside down on the uniforms. (That's not how it works.)
It's war. The children are grown and the two boys have parted ways. Dimash's childhood friend has become the country's president/general and mercilessly follows his twisted ideology.
As an antagonist (He is the Piper - based on the “Pied Piper of Hamelin”), he carries the idea of a saving war:
“Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We accompany everyone who is ready to start this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The main character, Dimash, also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love.
He's struggling, he's confused, he's in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife and his young daughter.
When he finally comes home, he is horrified to discover that his entire family has been killed. His wife has disappeared and his little daughter is dead. The loss of his daughter almost drives him crazy.

He wants revenge and an end to the horror. He shoots the general, his childhood friend and former lifesaver... and is killed himself.
The protagonist's wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who will give birth to a special child.
The many pilgrims are people of all religions who walk together the arduous path to the light, to a place of hope, truth and peace.
One day, the protagonist's son grew up to be one of their leaders.

My opinion: The whole song is an outcry. Dimash's unmistakable emotionally charged voice draws you into the video. I was totally hypnotized. My heart aches because of the wars and misery in this world. The greed, envy and intolerance of men will wipe them off the face of the earth if they do not come to their senses. Children and women are targeted victims of annihilation and rape in wars. But they are not just victims or mothers. They are half of humanity. Where are they? Why don't the women climb the mountain side by side with the men and head towards the sunrise and a better future? I only see men running mercilessly past a collapsed comrade-in-arms. Nobody helps him. What future can such a humanity await? Will anything ever change?

I wholeheartedly agree. I work in healthcare in the US and I think the for-profit insurance companies have ruined our healthcare system! They are the main reason medical care costs so much in this country. They have so much power, I don't know if they will ever be stopped.
I don't think so either. My husband almost died from mono last July. We don't have insurance because we can't afford it. I had to rush him to the ER and he was in the ICU for 7 days and on a vent for 2 days. Almost $200,000 in medical bills that we'll probably never be able to pay off... but you know the debt collectors are knocking down our door. Meanwhile we send billions to other countries while the middle class like us, get the shaft. This country is messed up.
