Two Bose S1 Pro can be connected as a stereo pair wirelessly using the Bose connect app. I own two of them and do this all the time. Also, once they are paired via Bluetooth you can still use the two input channels on each speaker independently. So, I pair them for my backing tracks and then add two guitars and two mics! Awesome!!!
I have the S1 Pro original and it is So easy to take anywhere and works easily for So many musical needs. It's loud enough for Lots of applications! Busking, most will love it, just make music!
This channel confuses me. It's a really excellent channel with great filming quality, great personalities, and the reviews are always timely. HOW DOES THIS CHANNEL ONLY HAVE 90k SUBS IT CONFUSES ME YOU GUYS ARE GREAT
We picked the Bose for my (singer) wife, to replace a 10-year-old JBL EON10 that weighed 8 lbs more. The Bose S1 Pro sounds SO much better, the dispersion angle is far superior, and it's such a noticeable difference that people have come up to her and actually told her that they love the sound. It has amazing clear output for the tiny size. For overall SPL the old EON still wins, but for clarity and dispersion, even outdoors, the Bose is tremendous.
I own the Bose S1 and just ordered the EVERSE 8. I will likely keep both and use the Mix out into the Line In of the Bose to capture a more detailed sound from the EVERSE (built-in E.Q.and effects the Bose doesn't have).
The bose puts out 109db and Ev everse 8 121db. Ev has a 12volt port for wireless receiver or other power needs. Ev also has a usb-c port. ( to charge phone , computer etc)
Starting at 5:54 you do a piano comparison. There was quite a bit of difference between the 2 clips...but, I didn't get which speaker was which. The first clip was much clearer, imho. But, I have no clue what speaker it was. The maximum volume with vocals, the Bose sounded best. Again, imho :)
The Everse 8 has a full suite of effects like compression, delay, chorus, tremelo, etc. which the Bose does not plus sophisticated EQ. Doh, left that out of your review. The on site review was brilliant though.
I am selling 2 Bose S1 pro speakers. Like New. I posted them on Offerup and Craigslist. With battery and charging cable. Fell on hard times. Hate to let them go. I'll be posting this on different videos. From Chicago.
The keyboard sounded best through the EV, and your vocals sounded best and most articulate through the Bose. I'm so happy to muddy the waters of which was better. You're welcome!!
The Everse 8 also has a ton of effects and a compressor on both channels which the Bose does not. It also has a wireless app to control it with which the Bose does not.
Hi Bill 👋 Thanks so much for tuning mate in and for your comment I’m just so sorry to say I have no idea. All I can say is that I would bloody hope not!! 🤣
Being wireless and not Bluetooth, there shouldn’t be any latency not audio compression between the speakers. But without someone actually testing that’s it’s hard to know how it will work in the real world. Also with wireless system be that microphones and wireless instrument adapters, wireless can be a little unreliable in some situations
What is a good stand option for a narrow-depth, lightweight keyboard like the one Jack is struggling to balance on his lap? X stands are designed for keyboards that are 3 times deeper.
Good point! The closest I found to be shallow depth stand in my time are the Ultimate Support Style/K&M Spider stands with the “Short” arms. Still not way to big for the job though - gap in the market?! 😂
Hi mate! Thank you for such a comprehensive review, it is extremely useful and appreciated by the community! I have a Bose S1 Pro that I use for small gigs (guitar + mic) and I'm very happy with its performance indoors. However, I also do the occasional busking outdoor and I realised it lacks volume. I tend to use the volume knobs at 75%/85% as I don't want to damage the unit by going full volume (maybe I should go full 100%). I've read the max SPL is 103 db for the Bose S1 Pro. And the Everse 8 is around 121 db. In terms of loudness appreciation, how much would a 18db difference be? I am unsure if I should go for the Everse 8 to get more volume output, or just go with a mains powered PA + a battery power generator. Thank you!
Hilarious, one could be tricked into mentioning the Beatle Classic 'The fool on the hill', but as we all know Jack is anything but a fool. Who else does a radio gig before turning up for a video session on an instrument that is not his first or even second preference?
It would be nice to know how far a falcon is. Actually at the further distance it would have been great to have a proper AB test to hear any discernible differences. I'm confused to hear you say they are about the same volume. The Everse 8 has a max SPL around 18 dB higher than the Bose S1 Pro. That should mean it's perceived max volume is somewhere around 3 times that of the Bose S1 Pro. I've been using an S1 Pro for almost a year, and took delivery of an Everse 8 today in the hope and expectation that it will be better for those gigs where the Bose is a little under-powered. Also, the Everse 8's ability to EQ the Bluetooth channel could prove beneficial, whereas the Bose provides no control over it's 3rd channel. Not sure what the new Bose S1 Pro+ might offer in that respect. Can't fully test at home - maybe I need to find a hill to wander up too :)

You said words to the effect of "the volume was about the same". As an owner of both boxes, I assume you mean that, when you were assessing sound quality, you set the volumes to about the same perceivable level. Viewers are likely to infer that you meant that the max out volume capability of each speaker is "about the same" but surely you can't have meant that? I've tested them side by side and the Everse 8 is massively louder than the Bose S1 Pro.
I have both but I’m going to tell anyone that doesn’t have either one, just get the EV. It’s only $50 more for way more SPL compared to the Bose. Unless you consider that $50 “significantly higher” lol.
In Australia the Everse 8 is about $500 more than the Bose S1 Pro at the moment (note it's not the Bose S1 Pro+, which is more expensive). So for me it would be a choice between having 2 x Bose S1 Pros or 1 x Everse 8.
At the time of the test, there was more clowning than the actual test, at the time of Bose's vocals, the camera was closer than with the Everse, you couldn't have much of an idea, that's more for comedy.
Quick dose of reality guys. It's a point source speaker with a battery attached. It comes with a limited stereo mixer but cant transfer the mix to a stereo pair with its "true wireless" connectivity, only the Bluetooth stream? Wow WTF? A k8.2 with a velcro battery packs would have twice the power and better sound. So the only reason for the $750 price tag is to compete with the Bose S1 .. which uses the Bose proprietary sound dispersion design you either love or hate. Say what you will but that tech has always come with a premium. So EV comes along. .takes a typical point source speaker.. tosses a battery in it with a little more oomph in power over the Bose but certainly doesn't compete with just about any other point source speaker with a battery pack. So let this sink in.. this should be a $399 small battery operated point source speaker but since they marketed it against the "overpriced" Bose. They are charging $750 and most are falling for it. I am a fan of the EV 30m and 50m series, but even they don't even come close to column systems like the LD curve for sound, clarity, dispersion, etc. and the LD products are cheaper pound for pound.. although limited in support. Think about it? Also, how come a Harbinger MXL900 for $500 bucks can seamlessly transfer the integrated mixer stereo channels wirelessly without cables but EV's "True wireless" doesnt work with the mixer.. So much for the wireless stereo PA idea for any performers out there? HUGE FAIL.. its is seriously the stupidest thing i have seen in awhile as far as design flaws lol. Good luck. Yeah it sounds good for streaming in stereo but this ain't a $750 speaker period.. and at that price point.. covers are sold separately.. Really?
The EV is cool? But! The Bose sound just can’t be duplicated AND? The S1 Pro has auto EQ can adjust the equalization automatically for any room That can’t be beat!

Jbl Eon One Mk2 is better than both. Bigger but better. And still battery powered.
It’s heavier than if you buy 2 Ev’s. Battery lasts longer on Ev. The only reason I would go with the mk2 over an ev is because it has more inputs.
