This is Awesome seeing this! We did this trip in reverse in 2018 (La Paz, 3 hrs in Copacabana, stayed the night in Puno, ~2 hr lunch buffet somewhere, Cusco). In all these years, you are the first RUclipsrs I have stumbled across that have done this journey (or at least shown it). 👍🏼
At the Tiquina Strait Crossing, passengers must take a boat ferry, and separate from the bus by law. About twenty years ago, a bus went down into the water while crossing, there was a high school class inside the bus at the time. It was a heartbreaking scene due to the casualties, so the law was changed.
Wow! Sounds a journey that's like a buffet of South American awesomeness! Can't wait for the next few episodes because it felt like hopping from Peru to Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile is like playing cultural hopscotch. I already visited Chile and Argentina few years ago to film one of our TV show and I would love to see what you have in store for us!
Wow a journey 🫣 that Hill and with your suitcases well done Danger 😜 Aww Stacy hope you were feeling ok having to do that climb after being so sick 🙏. The different colours in the village were pretty 😍 ,definitely a very long journey don’t think I be keen to do that on my own 🫣. Looking forward to your next video take care 🥰
What a shame you only spent 3 days on your Peru Hop journey. We took the same bus trip - and spent 28 days covering the same areas and saw way more things than you saw. It was fantastic, very inexpensive, and such an easy way to travel. 3 days would be exhausting...you should enjoy your time a bit more while on the road.
This video has such an interesting vibe lol, like stressed out but still managing to enjoy things. I def appreciate y'all not whitewashing the more "meh" aspects of travelling :P
Glad you enjoyed seeing the realness! We knew it was gonna be rough so thought it would be fun to share and just go in with a positive outlook and see what happens
Was the Puno tour long enough? in my Peru Hop Lima-La Paz Itinerary it says 2 hours tour and it's 20-30min to the islands so that leaves 1 hour on the island itself?
Yeah it was long enough for the area they cover, which really isn't all that much of the island. We were expecting much more of a tour or to see more of the island. But it's so cheap, the adventure is still fun, the altitude makes walking lots tough anyway, the heat, and the alternative is literally sitting in the bus or walking around the very dead town. We would do it again.
@@DanegerAndStacey Thanks for the answer :) I just found out there is a storm called "El Nino" going on in Peru? Did you hear about it? Do you think it will affect my travel during May? Will it still rain alot even though May is dry season?
Does it get fully booked? Like say I want to get from Cusco to Puno but wont know until day before when I wanna leave Cusco, is there a chance it is fully booked?
Harriet and I have traveled extensively in South America. We found buses a little challenging. If you can find them. We hired a driver/guide booked well ahead of time. It's costly, but much more pleasant only when the infrastructure is poor or sketchy. But you guys handled it well. Sending you much love❤ from Richmond, Va. Harriet, Jim and Yuki
Totally agree re the buses, they are quite challenging! Luckily this one with Peru Hop in particular is more for tourists and the rest of our time was on tours, so all in all pretty stress free!
What an adventure! I took a bus in Chile and thought it was of very high standard and comfy. But my brother rode with chickens on the bus in Peru...there is no in between lol
Stacey - please start carrying an asthma inhaler when you go to all these places with such high elevation 😘😘😘 I worry now after your video from the other week, especially with you going to places that are a little off the beaten track, & therefore further away from medical attention 😘😘😘 - loving this latest video btw
HAHA yeah unfortunately it is/was! To be fair, this was the only experience where it really got us good, we would go suitcases again. Funny moment though.
I loved Peru Hop, did it all the way from Lima to La Paz but with longer stops. We had the same guide in Bolivia actually but I didn’t like Puno or Copacabana much at all really, how slow were all the boats!! 😭
Peru Hop was awesome! Those longer stops added some adventure. Having the same guide in Bolivia must've been interesting! Puno and Copacabana, those boats were painfully slow, right? Patience was definitely key! 😩
Hi Stacey & Daneger, Your South America series is bringing back all my memories of travelling South America for 6months back in 2016. We did a lot of overnight buses! They were interesting! A bit hit and miss but still fun! We stayed in Hostel Las Olas in Copacabana too- was a mission getting our bags up there!😅I absolutely loved Bolivia...so I'm looking forward to see your next few videos! Michelle
Hey Michelle! Yay sounds like you had a pretty similar experience to us. How do you feel about SA now, do you think you'd go back? It's so big, so much more to see!

Coool! Was your trip pretty similar to this? Kind of organised, semi chaotic, hot, and a bloody adventure haha?
@@DanegerAndStacey exactly as you described it!
Wow! I loved seeing this travel day/ nights! So raw and unfiltered! stay safe! Take care! And keep inspiring us armchair travellers! Many thanks !
Glad you enjoyed the more raw style! We're trying to keep things mixed up a bit and honest too
Take care Perú hop itsnt reliable... They re very liers, dont believe them

That first bus was super nice looking! Not at all what I would have expected.
We had a couple of AMAZING buses, a bit hit and miss in places though

It was a crazy journey! Tell ya what, flying would have been A LOT easier haha! Fun adventure though and that's what it's about
You guys didn't do Bolivia justice!
Copacobana or Bolivia? We're spending loads of time in Bolivia, lots of vlogs to come! Just that Copacobana wasn't as good as it could be.

Haha, that's quite a leap from comfort to chickens! Chilean buses set a high standard, but your brother's adventure sounds like a crazy ride
Second best series you have ever made! 🤩 (Nothing can beat New Zealand! 😉 )
Yeah New Zealand hits different huh!
What a journey~

I'm seriously considering that! Anything that helps to ease that feeling again
I guess it’s too late to reconsider your packing strategy😆😂. What a great adventure though, seeing things you normally wouldn’t see.
HAHA yeah unfortunately it is/was! To be fair, this was the only experience where it really got us good, we would go suitcases again. Funny moment though.
and yeeet you visited less than 1% of South America! ;)
So true, why it gotta be so big 😂
The houses built out of reeds was so interesting. Loved the drone shots to see from that perspective.
Kind of hard to fathom that is there home huh!
Yes, for sure.@@DanegerAndStacey

braver than I, I don't think I would dare to bus XD then again, I mostly travel solo
It was actually quite a good way to meet people too though, something to think about!
@@DanegerAndStacey good point!
Another great video. Love seeing you guys in South America! Wow Lake Titicaca is huge. What an adventure.
The lake just straight up looks like the sea/ocean - so massive!

I've never commented on a video before, but this deserves it
