Its so dry out right now, that rain was much needed, also i felt the same way when i put some nice brand new rancher 420 shocks on my 300, gained 3 inches of lift and ride quality
The sportsman shocks are great but once u get 70 80 lbs of mud under it ur gonna need a few more bumps of preload then those shocks have prolly need a half inch spacer front and rear just put the preload all the way down
Factory arms moved forward with 18" eye to eye custom walker Evans I had so much flex I had to remove the headlights and put led pods on an angle. It was a whoop eater compared to stock
Yes sway bar removed. It's a great mod. Some of my friends have also done it. Depending on how much load you have on the machine, you may need to add some preload spring spacers by the way
You can’t beat the walker evans shocks for P5 ride quality and even without the long travel kit they give you as much flex as the shocks you put on. HOWEVER, for a budget shock upgrade those sportsman shocks are an awesome option! I need to stop watching these videos because it makes me miss Mighty Mouse😢😂
I think that's going to depend on your terrain. I'm sure the Walker Evans shocks and springs are tuned more appropriately for the Pioneer 500. However, the bodies are significantly smaller. There's no way they have the volume of fluid that these bigger bore Polaris shocks have or the heat dissipation capacity. For what we do down here It's a lot of large Sandy Whoops. Where you're constantly using the full suspension stroke of the Pioneer 500. I think the Sportsman shocks will perform overall better in my trails just because of the size. Love your channel by the way!
Are the Walker Evans actually extended travel By the way? From what I've seen they don't add much down travel to the rear and there's definitely more to be had back there
@@MudPuppyOffroad walkers give you maybe an 1/2” to 3/4” more travel, that’s it. If you’re getting more than that with the sportsman’s shocks that’s awesome! The Walkers are sprung specifically for the 500 and sprung light for maximum smoothness of ride. You definitely need all the travel you can get with the rutted mud holes you tend to play in😂😂😂 I’m definitely excited to see how they hold up and do for you!

Yeah, adding a thin spacer is the plan if needed, but I've got so much extra clearance. I don't think it's going to be required

Damn that's awesome. Talk about maxing out those little front a arms
Sway Bar Removed In This Test? Looks like I may be doing this upgrade like this week lol
