Tī navā latgalīši, kas dzīd, voi trimdys latgalīšu bārni. Bet vīnolga, cīši skaiški. Lels Jyusim paļdis! Those who are singing are not native latgalians, or maybe those who grew up abroad. But anyhow, wonderful, many thanks for this song!
Ļoti skaista animācija. Vien dziedājums brīžiem šķiet nedaudz ātrāks nekā to pierasts dzirdēt no vecmammām un laikam jau arī dažu vārdu izruna citviet var atšķirties...
Red rose grew in the garden Under the rose, a young girl is sleeping. - Hey, girl, your mother called you! - I know, I hear that mother called me! My mother wants to marry me to an old guy. That old guy, I don't want him! I chased that old guy from my gates Chased from my gates and threw stones Go, old (guy), go back home (not sure about this part) I hope you go away and never come back! My mother wants to marry me to a young guy That young guy, I had always loved him! I will listen to my dear mother, I'll go to the young guy To this young boy, I'll give a flower crown This is as accurate as I could get considering I know Latvian, not Latgalian.
It's about girl. She's sleeping under roses. Her mother wants to merry her with some old man, but she don't want it. (i'm from latvia so i understand. thoes languages are littlebit similiar)
Christian V Latgalians are not from Lithuania. During 1918 - 1922 an opinion existed in Lithuania, that latgalians are lithuanian, and that latgale should be theirs, but that is false, as there is no historical evidence that latgalians are lithuanians. The Latgalians also lived as a seperate tribe too
@@mateface1313 Actually before Latvia's independence, there was congress held in Rezekne city about future of Latgale and latgalians. There were three main options on table. Remain as autonomous region within Russian empire, to join with Lithuania or with Latvia. Latgalians coose to rejoin back with Latvia. Sorry Lithuanians it wasn't Your choise to make. :)
@Kristian No. Some southern Selonian lands joined with Lithuania and parts of Southern and Eastern Latgale lands was in dirrect control of GDL, now Belaruss and Russia.
