As four countries got zero points from the televote I've decided to count their televoting rank as their jury rank because I wasn't sure if all should be 26th or 23rd. I think this is the most balanced solution.
@Dreamer Wikipedia says this about the tie-break rules. The current tie-break procedure was implemented in the 2016 contest. In the procedure, sometimes known as a countback, if two (or more) countries tie, the song receiving more points from the televote is the winner. If the songs received the same number of televote points, the song that received at least one televote point from the greatest number of countries is the winner. If there is still a tie, a second tie-breaker counts the number of countries who assigned twelve televote points to each entry in the tie. Tie-breaks continue with ten points, eight points, and so on until the tie is resolved. If the tie cannot be resolved after the number of countries which assigned one point to the song is equal, the song performed earlier in the running order is declared the winner, unless the host country performed earlier (in which case the song performed later would be the winner). The tie-break procedure originally applied only to first place ties or to determine a semifinal qualifier,[19] but since 2008 has been applied to all places.
@@darkchocospy7080 that is the tiebreak rule.... but how can you break a tie with 0 points by analysing their points? You can’t, so the running order tiebreak would be used 😄
I think jurors and televoters agreed a lot on this year compared to most others. Most years have at least one entry that gets near first with one voting group and near last with the other (Czech Rep. 19, Sweden + Ukraine 18, Australia 17, Poland 16). aaaaand this is why the Jury votes should be taken away! I mean if we look at this: the Jury votes and the televotes are 50/50, so let's say 120.000 people from one country voted for Ukraine, they are taken down on the list because 5-10 people desided they liked France better! (And I have nothing against the song from France) It's just that, this should be reason enough to not let the Jury votes count 50%
I could not disagree more. Anyone who watched Eurovision during the 2000:s knows how much juries have improved the quality of the contest since then by rewarding musical quality over gimmicks, running order and neighbour voting. The jury system is not a perfect system, there are still countries like Greece and Cyprus abusing the system by exchanging points year after year but it's still vastly better than going back to the days of 100% televoting where an artist like Duncan Laurence or Loreen could lose to Latvian pirates.
Agreed! To those who want 100% televote Well Eurovision did have a time in the 2000’s where it was televote only. It was a hot mess and pure garbage, to the point where several countries theatred to QUIT because of how much bad and how much of a JOKE it was. There was a song that begged people to vote for them and they got 6th. Voting was extremely politicized all over the place, way more than the juries ever was. It got close to ruining Eurovision entirely. When Eurovision brought Juries back in 2009, it pretty much saved Eurovision from disaster and has helped the quality of the songs go up a LOT(just compare)2007/2008 to 2009. The lesson is you can not trust the public entirely to make a decision like this.(which is why there is a (50-50 balence in the first place) Don’t get me started on the mistakes the public made on shows like American idol and what not.
Serbia got 12p from Slovenia, Croatia and North Macedonia, because Hurricane are very famous in the former Yugoslav countries. They also got 12p from Austria and Switzerland, because a lot of former Yugoslav people moved there. Serbia always gets high points from those exact same countries every single year.
In terms of televote disagree with those from Ukraine and Italy for getting too many votes, but I agree that Lithuania is far too overrated by televote (Discoteque is too annoying for me, I prefer On Fire instead) , they should get out of top 10, Bulgaria deserved the top 10 together with Greece. Meanwhile Malta is far too overrated by juries, which Italy deserved a top 3 on that section as well!

At least Bulgaria won something
Bulgaria getting such a low televote for such a meaningful song and staging shows televoters are shallow.
Bulgaria is the. Best ❤
Malta 😭
Sad for Malta and Bulgaria (and kinda for Ukraine)
Malta was terrible
@@yannick8458 Not terrible, just not outstanding. It had quality, vocals, performance....but lyrics.
aaaaand this is why the Jury votes should be taken away!
Agreed!
To those who want 100% televote
Well Eurovision did have a time in the 2000’s where it was televote only.
😂😂😂😂😂 cleaning the glass foshoooo
How did Serbia get top ten for Televote ? Crime worthy
@@Nutzername92a pot 1 to the rescue
Jury really chose better entries than televoters 😂 (with the sole exception being Portugal)
AGREED!!!
I disagree completely. Ukraine, Lithuania and Italy all deserved the points they got from the voters.
Meanwhile Malta is far too overrated by juries, which Italy deserved a top 3 on that section as well!
can we just remove jury
We should just remove the jury because they have no idea on what should win.
People tend to not appreciate boring performances while jury looks at vocals first
I mean, Moldova got higher place in jury votes than Albania (and Anxhela's vocals were stunning). Not everything in jury voting is about vocals, a lot of politics is involved too
@@irynayarova8343 of course not, but generally that seems to be the case.
I guess that's why the winner must have unique performance and strong vocals in order to score high in both
And combined with good luck haha
So, not that bad than...
yeah remove the jury........like seriously....
Portugal super overrated and Norway underrated... damn with juries...
switzerland got robbed by the televoting ngl
