Except for Australia’s Sound of Silence. That performance and song were perfect. It just didn’t have the personal story behind it to get the televotes.

Too much depending on the Jury Show. The jury distribute their points at the Jury Show (and KEiiNO's camera turned into black, and everyone saw nothing.)
I mean I didn’t really like KEiiNO that much, they were good but not my favorite. For me it’s just not the type of pop that I’m into, which is totally fine. I see the appeal and had they won then I would’ve been happy for them. It’s very much a people song, however, the mix of genres (jojk, pop, edm type stuff etc) might have been too messy for specific juries as they are people in the music industries. A lot of more experimental songs do worse with the juries but good with the public. This is because the juries are generally more into traditional music or well written songs in one genre or another (hence why ballads or conventional pop tend to do well with them). The general public are more there for the entertainment, stories, traditions and new fun sounds which is why KEiiNO, Go_A etc. did quite well. Overall, they balance each other out quite nicely.
@@siuniupiu they are encouraged to vote based on song and not the staging right? Also they will give another chance to perform to the participant in case of technical issue on jury performance right?

They tried to save 2022 from the most controversial victory in recent history with Ukraine, deserved or not, it's fair to say that juries tried to actually be a jury that year. While most people voted with sympathy.
In this video the Juries seem to like: people with great singing voices, sung in english and less varied. While the public seems to like: nail biting songs, not sung in english and more varied.
In conclusion: jury points are usually political (predictable and the highest points are given to neighbors), while the televoters allow more diversity and show some real musical taste.

The jury vote is necessary for songs like "Quédate conmigo", "Sound of silence" or "Proud", what we don't need are countries voting for their neighbors or those who like them better just because.
What we don't need are juries that are mostly equally partial as televote. And we don't need juries that destroy potential winners like Norway 2019. This show is for the people. 20 thousand people in a country have to spend 10 euros each voting for someone just to have 5 jury members destroy that. In most cases they are some one hit wonders or singers from 70s that don't get todays music.

Hmmm it's obvious over the last 10 years juries tend to overrate Australia, Sweden, Spain, France, Austria, and Malta and underrate Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Poland, and some smaller countries while the public tends to overrate Ukraine, Italy, Poland, and pound Malta, Australia, UK, Germany and Belgium.
OK, can we make an petition for Jury Show to be terminated, so the juries have to vote at the same day and time with the public? A lot of these discrepancies happens cuz the juries are not watching the same show than us, so like... one fateful technical issue in the Jury day (#JusticeForKeiino) and then the favorites of the year are basicallly cutted in the ankle, and the audience never understands why.
The jury system is the main reason Eurovision receives so much hate. It makes the show more politically charged as some countries will never vote for another one based of their history. If this show only had public voting I believe the show would be more popular
Sorry to say this but.... Eurovision did have a period in the 2000’s where it was TELEVOTE ONLY. It sucked AF..... the voting was even more political during that time and joke songs almost won making Eurovision a joke to many(which ruins ratings). There was a song that begged people to vote for them in that time and they got 6th....wtf.... It almost totally ruined Eurovision as many countries threatened to quit entirely in 2007-2009, and a bold statement was made by the UK commentator that the jury system had to come back. In 2009, it came back and it basically saved Eurovision’s butt. The song quality between 2007/2008 and 2009 was a night and day difference. You may not like Juries, but they are here FOR A REASON. This 50/50 split is perfect for this reason, as in order to win you most appeal both to Juries, and the public, fail on either, and you won’t win but doing well in 1 puts you in a good placement overall.
@@YTN1112 You raise a good point. I simply just don't understand how these juries rate which songs are good or not. There are instances where a song barely gets any votes from the public but is somehow given a very large amount of points from the jury. The same can be said for vice versa
@@rakso9838 A good example of what Juries look foward to is 2019. North Macedonia was a very strong vocal performance with decent lyrics, so most juries appreciated the artistic elements of the song (you still had the political cases like Cyprus/Greece). Those elements usually are not what the public looks forward too, being a good reason why Norway won the public. Duncan won that year because he had a good enough appeal for both sides. Italy was the closest one that year with that good appeal for both sides, since the rest of the top 10 had a very split jury vs public rankings.
Unfortunately there is no song from 2013 included because the split points results jury & televoting have never been published. We only got the average placings in each voting (jury & televote).

A lot of these discrepancies happens cuz the juries are not watching the same show than us, so like... one fateful technical issue in the Jury day (#JusticeForKeiino) and then the favorites of the year are basicallly cutted in the ankle, and the audience never understands why.
Conta solo il televoto, perché è la gente che compra i dischi e va ai concerti.
Buranovskiye Babushki should've won in my opinion.
Keiino were robbed so hard by the jury, I'm still mad about it
Norway 2019. Won televotes got only like 40 from jury..
BTW I didn't watch the whole video when I said this
Israel 2024 - 271! Where are the Israeli haters? 😂😂😂 Eden Queen ❤
To say juries shouldn't exist, didn't you remember how Eurovision destroyed its reputation in 2000s?
Jury favors what is ordinary
Yodel it was amazing
Make tele voting great again! 🥴
imo so many robbed songs on this list 😢
I swear the juries this year were deaf
The juries saved the brilliant performance of Italy in 2011
I will say this every time I see it, but KEiiNO was ROBBED by the evil juries.
dami im was robbed so hard
Why juries hate Russia?
Jury has too much power
I love TOY 😍
Kalush second place and they won 😂
Go_A Shum was so robbed by jury i thought this was top 3
Oh my goodness 😂
Televoting > jury
Malta and Finland would have deserved better :(
