Perfect. Definitely an issue I'm having. I had a misfire on drivers side and now a catalytic code on the same side. Makes perfect sense. Thankfully GM's warranty on the cats is pretty good.
It's obscure little tips like these that a person can, at the very least, use to screen potential causes/failure points even if one reluctantly is forced to take the vehicle to the dealer in the end. Thanks.
if you deleted the catalytic converters, and didn’t tune it out, then it especially will set a lot. If there are no catalytic converters, the oxygen sensors will still be scanning for its efficiency, but if it has none, then obviously, it thinks they are inefficient, and the code will set.
