This golden boundary in Downtown serves the Best TIBETAN STREET FOOD in India like MOMOS, THUKPA, SHAPALI (Sha phaley), THENTHUK, and KOTHEY MOMOS at Chopstick. Chopstick is a perfect Tibetan halal Street Food joint, introduces Tibetan Street Food to Srinagar, which grown quite popular over the years.
This Tibetan Muslim cuisine is exactly similar to its root in Tibet. I loved the food and it was certainly one of the best Tibetan food I have had.

@@macbeth7832Baltis are actually Tibetan in origin their language is also Tibetan dialect their genes are 95% tibetan maybe they have got a little gene flow from indo aryan dards from neighbouring areas but it doesn't change identity.. just like Nepal doesn't become indian because of little indian gene flow into Nepal

I am from Baltistan, our ancestors came from Tibet 1000s of years ago. We have kind of similar cuisine. Like we call the noodles "balay" or "tras-fi balay". The one fried with meat in the center, we call it "azok", though we don't put meat in it, and we eat it with butter tea "pau cha"

@@UECAbhishekKumar Thanks for asking brother. Baltistan is located in the northern part of Pakistan, in Gilgit-Baltistan province. It is adjacent to Ladakh(India). So, if you know Ladakh, we speak almost the same language, just like Urdu and Hindi. BTW, the world's 2nd largest Mountain K2 is located in baltistan. The famous Siachen glacier is in baltistan, Kargil is also in Baltistan.
Post partition - As we were the muslim majority, we become part of Pakistan, and Ladakh, being Buddhist, become part of India.
Hope this gives you a better understanding of Baltistan.

I visited this place back in 2019 with my friends.. just to try the Tibetan food I had heard my local friends talking about... and it was so delicious... the Momo & the Thukpa are so authentic & sublime.. I am salivating just reliving those flavors, smells & textures

Recently I got an opportunity to try authentic Tibetan food in Gangtok. Momos were totally different from what we get in plains , also tried Sha Phaley for the very 1st time. It was jabardast.
