How is your video the ONLY one that mentions the engine change? Can you provide more details as to if you'd wait for the 2025 because the engine is more reliable/better/etc? I still can't figure out Ford or anyone else hasn't mentioned this significant change to the engines!

jmc6000 any thoughts on the post above? Hoping to get some more information about the engines before making a decision.

Agree! This is just nuts. There is no info on the internet at all regarding what he says about a new/different engine for 2025.

Is there a base badlands in 2025. I just want the 2.0.
    I saw a 24 badlands for37k

I got a 24 because of the deal and because I like physical buttons and the Sync 3 layout better (used to Sync 2). I would agree the engine vibration is my biggest gripe, but it does go away driving it. Maybe someone will make engine mounts that fix it

I saw what Ford changed on the 2025 Bronco Sport and opted for a 2024 Bronco Sport Big Bend in Hot Pepper Red.
    1. I like the 2024 grille and bumpers better.
    2. I like the smaller and less obtrusive info screen of the 2024 better.
    3. I have no issue with engine vibrations.
    4. I dislike the all digital instrumentation of the 2025. I much prefer the physical controls of the 2024 (Bad move Ford-you’re going to piss people off).
    5. I don’t care about cruise control (never use it) and lane keeping (have it turned off).
So I feel I did much better not paying more for things I don’t like.

@@Warped9 is the engine different? This guy is the only one who says so. I can't find any more info on that.

@@mastersolomon-j4c I’m not sure if the 2025 engine is different or just retuned. I understand the 2025 is down maybe 1hp and maybe up a bit in torque. I think the 2025 transmission MIGHT be different.
Nonetheless I have about 1500 kms on mine now and have driven it in a number of conditions. I know everyone says go for the Badlands with the 2.0L, but honestly in real world driving I don’t find mine with the 1.5L lacking in power. Around town it’s quick and very maneuverable with a nicely tight turning circle. And I quite like how it drives on the highway-it has no problem getting to highway speeds and drives very well in the 110-140 kph cruising speeds. And it tracks and handles well.
So far I’m very pleased with mine.

I cannot find any evidence the 2025 Bronco Sport’s engine or transmission are different from the 2024. All references are that the two engine choices are merely retuned. Beyond that are minor cosmetic changes to the front and rear design as well as elements of the interior. Apparently you cannot get 18in. wheels on the 2025 Big Bend like I have on my 2024 unless you go aftermarket.

I paid $34000.00 for a loaded big bend 2022 . What are these discounts going to do to my resale value? Thanks for the great video. 👍

My Ford dealership mentioned the 2025 would be available in the 2nd week of November!?? I don't think I can wait till February. I'm not looking for the sasquatch package, just a big bend sport.

I got the 24 Badlands, the Sync 3 works well and I have no issues on the Screen Size as I think it’s no obtrusive as the larger screens are. The 2.0 liter engine is smooth and efficient, currently averaging 25 mpg combined. I drove an explorer with the adaptive controls and turned it off. It was a bit unnerving imo.

    • @thejmcGarage

Both the 1.5 MPC and the 2.0 are timing chain engines. No wet belts at all

got our '24 heritage 2 month ago. water pump issues hit the 21-22 models hard but the 24's seem good to go. i paid $6500 under msrp and got ford's offer of 36 months @ 3.9%. i doubt anyone is getting that kind of deal on a new '25. so sure the newest model is going to have some nice perks but you might save a lot on a '24 and also not have to wait.

I prefer having the hard buttons that the 2025 will eliminate. I also would rather have the 2024 touchscreen because I like the extra height of the 2024 over the extra width of the 2025. And I'm not happy about the 12 hp drop in power, either. Plus, in tests I've seen the Sync 4 has too much lag. The only real selling point for me is that the 2025 now has "CoPilot 360 Assist" as standard equipment instead of a $995 option.

No way! I would never give up physical controls vs screen controls. I think the 24 BS is a much better choice. Daughter bought a 24 with adaptive cruise control, so you’re wrong on that account.

I never said that adaptive cruise was not available on the 2024 Bronco Sport, it's just not standard on ALL trims like in the 2025

Just curious is the 1.5 MPC the same as what the 2020 Ford Fusion?

    • @thejmcGarage
      @thejmcGarage  2 месяца назад +3

Unfortunately no, that 1.5 in your Fusion is a totally different powertrain platform and Unfortunately that engine in your Fusion is subject to coolant intrusion where the engine will start to consume its own coolant

I cant imagine a three cylinder lasting as long as an even cylinder engine could. I could be wrong. Just my opinion, for how unbalanced they must run.

No HVAC buttons... Lame. 25 BL+Sas = Height of 24 BSBL. Unless someone wants more recovery points or sync4 with minimal buttons... The 24s will save them a ton of $$$.
They only went up $500 because they want people to spend $4k on the SAS package.

I live off grid and steep hill with snow is my only concern and it dont get plowed so I'd like it to be better than a subaru wilderness.
