The disconnect between her appearance and her intelligence is just that that's how she's always been treated - nobody expected more from her, she was just raised to be a Beverly Hills trophy wife (you saw her dad not even taking her seriously and telling her not to bother with law school because she's pretty). But once she got into a different environment, she found out that she could be so much more.
I also like that, contrary to the stereotype, they made her a really kind person. And her sorority sisters, too - they were dingbats but very supportive and nice instead of the usual backstabbing Bs such women are so often portrayed as in movies.
Every reactor I've seen do this movie misses where her school counselor tells her she needs at least a 175 on her LSATS. Then she gets the result, 179, and the reactor is like, "....is that good?" 🤦♀️ Anyway, love this reaction. 😁😆 Been tuning in for a good long while now. Always enjoy your videos!
It is legal to represent yourself, but in order to represent someone else, you need a license to preactice law, so Elle wouldn't be able to represent Brook without a licensed lawyer acting as her supervisor.
The sequel is pretty good, I wouldn't say it's as good as this one, but it's still got some pretty iconic moments, and Elle is just as lovely in it, so since you really like Elle I'd say you'll enjoy it
@@sofiamec8767 I’m so sorry. Your baby boy was a kitty? I’m not over losing my chihuahua may 23. 2024. I miss him so much. I’m sure you gave your pet the best life possible.💔💔💔💔💔💔💔🌈🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
@@im-gi2pg Yea, he was only 9 but had cancer in his tummy. We had maybe 2 more months with him with the steroids they gave him but then they stopped working. I'm broken. I am so sorry for your loss, I totally know how heart breaking this is ...& I know you gave him an amazing life as well. Sending you many hugs ❤
You’re a bad salad 😂😂😂 I’m living for your hate for Warner already and I haven’t even finished the video lol Edit: Elle does actually meet all the criteria for a top law school, she has perfect grades and exams scores, many extracurriculars, and her major in fashion merchandising is actually like a business school… she’s a great candidate! Edit 2: Vivian is a bit justified to not like Elle in the beginning, cause all she knows is her fiancé’s ex is trying to come between them… plus she and Warner used to date before, so we don’t know if Warner was just cheating on her with Elle… Edit 3: after the evil McGonagal comment I realised I have watched this before lol Sorry for the long comment, I should really comment after I have finished watching 😂
Lol your comment is very welcome. I had to reupload with one scene cutout because it has a slur in it (very unusual for a video to get flagged literally a year after going live) But the world needs to know how much I hate Warner still lol
Hahaha, yeah, in modern fraternities and sororities, hazing is not allowed, but usually new members will decorate a paddle (yes, like a paddle for spanking someone) and giving it to the big sister/brother in the organization. In my fraternity, you also decorated a big one with your pledge brothers that you had to have finished for initiation. I say all this to say that now that I'm in my 30's, I agree American colleges are a weird cultural things hahaha
That's why the older movies/series with strong female leads from 20-30 years ago are so much better than what they push out nowadays...show, don't tell! Elle can be girly and ditzy but that doesn't detract from her determination. Buffy can be silly and vulnerable yet kicks ass. TV shows and movies with female main characters nowadays seem to be written to tell the audience every 30sec how much of a 'girlboss' she is. Those shows will never hold up like the old ones do.
This movie is wonderful and well written. It subverts your expectations by taking a character you expect to be ditzy but she is actually incredibly intelligent. Sadly, the sequel is none of those things.

Also, movie suggestion: Little Miss Sunshine! Hilarious and wholesome.

I have a soft spot for "she's not completely unfortunate looking" 😂❤
Since you are willing to watch chick flicks, you might give "While You Were Sleeping" with Sandra Bullock a watch.
This was such a treat. Thank you for this.
Just had to put my babyboy 🐱 down yesterday and I’m broken. But this did help a bit, so thank you 🙏🏽❤️
:( sorry to hear that. I'm glad you enjoyed my reaction :)

26:01 - yes, actually. Go back and check out Vivian’s reaction to Warner’s “advice” (24:39)
You recognized Selma Blair from Cruel Intentions, but Reese was also in that as well.
2:31 - You missed the 'Julia Roberts' on the magazine spine

I hear you on all of that. This movie is very inspiring

Evil McGonagle didn’t pay her beauty salon bill 😁
A lot of people don't like the sequel, but it has lots of dogs.
