vs Aprilia SXR160 | Yamaha Aerox FAQ #15

- Trying to decide between the Aprilia SXR160 and the Yamaha Aerox? Three things to think about. First, the big difference between the two is that the Aerox was built as a large, fast scooter. Whereas the SXR feels like a large scooter built on a smaller platform. So the SXR can feel easier to ride, but you also keep feeling it should have been faster. Second, the Aerox also feels like the more premium scooter, although on price they're about even. It's a combination of the finish, the design as well as other elements. Don't get us wrong, both are amongst the best looking scooters in the market though. Third, the SXR will feel more comfortable to ride by some margin because Apriia's rear suspension is a far better setup than the Yamahas.

do one on cb350, H'ness and CB350RS
Psstt... hey.. hey. We want Cb350 👀
There is no love lost in this particular case.
@amarpradeep Word. Seems like they are against this bike or something, entire Honda, for that matter.
They are waiting for test bike which I think Honda doesnt want to give to Shumi because it is well known he dislike it.
I think
Finally the first video on an aprillia scooter.
Riding aerox since 5 months now. Man it’s a fast scooter indeed. The pickup is amazing. I really wish Yamaha had brought the same model from Indonesia here. Some parts are very cheap quality. But really loving the ride
I sold my sxr 160 and bought aerox 155 due to quality issues in aprillia
Oh? Please tell us more?
The post 2021 aprilias are going low on quality to cut costs.
Costs a bomb. Wanted to gift it to my wife (just a pretext… i want to use it 😂). 1.75 on road is just too much !
Speed of aerox is insane
But for tall rider like me it touches the knees that does make it uncomfortable
Recently i have shifted to outskirts of my city...... municipal water is still not available....so dependent on 20 lit water bubble from water plant........i am looking for a scooter which comfortably fits 20 lit water can near legs ......... any suggestions please?
Jupiter
I'm told that thing was literally designed to have enough space on the floor board to carry a Gas cylinder or water cans
Access 125
Please on Jawa 42 2.1 Vs RE Classic 350
Guys can u do review of honda hornet 2023
Hellloooooo please do new jawa 42 and yezdi roadster 🙏🙏🙏🙏
After ather only Yamaha aerox is good looking scooter.
Aprilia looks like gold wing of scooter 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣
omg finally!
Also much better fuel milage and a larger tank on the SXR makes it a better long tourer than the Aerox! Not to mention a slightly snatchy accelerator on the Yamaha that doesnt like to cruise!
@@romeldias Better mileage on the SXR? How much does it get? My Aerox gives 45-50 kmpl
@@srikarvundavalli5934 dude where do you live and how is that possible lol? the showrooms have told me that the fuel economy for the Aerox is 45 and we know the companies always exaggerate! Both my test rides on the Aerox in Bombay and in Blore gave me an indicated 28 kmpl...so i dont know the real figures but my SXR gives me 29-35 in Blore city traffic and on a long tour i did from Blore - Bom, it gave me between 49-53 on the highway!
That with a 7 litre tank gave me decent range on my tour!
@@romeldias I live in Vijayawada. Traffic is not as bad as Blore traffic so, in city I get 40-45 and on highway if I keep it under 70kmph, I get 50+ and if I do 80-90kmph then I get 45 again. I have been tracking my tank to tank fuel economy for the last 7500kms and my average is 45.7 kmpl lol. The tank is smaller though so I typically get somewhere between 180-220kms of range on a tank
If I were to buy , I'd choose Aprilia, better storage and all . Yes it would feel less premium but more practical
Aerox is any day much better
It not for carrying has cylinder
@@diprajganguly6508 not cylinder, hanging carry bag, and better footspace
@@barun9665 yes
That's a maxi scooter
It's mainly for long distance travel
Not for market purposes
Infact if you want
You can keep the things in storage
How is the ASS for both the scooters?
Hope Yamaha brings NMax. The ride quality of Aerox is too bad. Have ridden both and eagerly waiting for NMax. Hope they maintain the quality once launched in India.
what about the storage space? which one is better there?
Aprilia for sure
You should see 1 year old Aeros , that should give an idea of below quality of materials Yamaha is using
My aerox is one year old still looks new and people compliment it
I think you don't take care of It .. mine is from Dec 2021 .. its still looks brand new.. and not a single loose screw..
Mine is 1 year and 2 month old,10000 km run, still feels brand new..
Mine is 1 year 4 months and 10,000 kms done, still no vibration or panel issues
Mine one is 2 years old yet it feels new😁
Aerox ❤
For the increasing petrol prizes! I'm not gonna opt for any
Thanks for letting us know!
My Aerox gives mileage similar to most 125cc scooters. I get 45-50 kmpl 😁
@@srikarvundavalli5934my yamaha ray zr gives 60-65🙂
@@Akshay-xs1wf wow! How many cc is your ray zr bro? And what’s the top speed

Somebody must be super stupid in honda & yamaha headquarters for not bringing..

Seriously guys.. WE WANT EM !!
Yes we aren’t sure what the Japanese cos strategy for India is, really
I would buy ADV over any adventure bike in india

Milage of Yamaha in highway @75 KMPH constant speed …?
Took it for a Trip and was riding it at 80-90km/hr and when I checked the eco was 43km/L
If 75kmph constant speed then it could easily give 45+
@@blivinalien3227 thank you I already bought the bike and it is giving 50+ at 60kmph. my daily drive 180km I completed 4K in 4 wks
Aprilia parts take longer to arrive and sc leaves a lot to desire so save some headache and get the Yamaha ( unless the Aprilia SC in your area is incredibly good )
Aprilia's quality isn't that good either. I had a Vespa and so many niggles that I had to sell it off.
@@peanutbutterjelly1368 true my friend's sr150 had switch problems , mudguard issues , headlight issues at 12k kms whereas my burgman at 25k had none 🗿
Guys, why did you delete my comment ????
I offered you my new CB350RS having 1000 kms clocked in so that you can review it without any delay. I tweeted and tagged you guys in that tweet regarding it. I have even commented on it 13-14 hrs ago here. Now the comment is gone. Why?? What’s it with you guys and cb350 ?
Hey Amar! We're not sure what happened, TBH. YT moderation takes all comments with hashtags and links into moderation automatically, and we're pretty sure we didn't delete it. We generally delete comments with abusive language, but that's about it, really.
As to your offer, we do really appreciate it. But generally, the best practice is to receive a vehicle from the maker so that they're sure we have a totally stock, undamaged/unmodified model and it's performance is exactly what the customer is supposed to receive. Plus the responsibility of taking your bike for a review, frankly is very scary and a huge thing to shoulder.
We're continuing to chase the CBs with Honda (and all of their other models, TBH), and we'll keep you posted.
@@motorinc I really appreciate you for clearing it up. RUclips is indeed known for its notoriety regarding these things.
It’s really assuring to see that you want to review these bikes at their stock level to keep things plain and simple.
However, in case if you just want to give it a go, I am more than happy to see it happen. Apart from a saddle stay and a top rack, I haven’t touched anything. And I am more than happy to give in writing that I take full responsibility for giving it to you for the review (god forbid if anything happens - I will borne all the expenses of the bike).
Once again, thanks for taking out your time to reply to me.
Thank you Amar! Your kindness is blowing us away!
Yamaha panels are total crap and fit n finish is just bruhhh.... I had both of these. But the aprilia survived in my garage and sold out the aerox. I don't need speed, I need longevity and better parts. Not a toy
why no ladies footrest in Yamaha it kills the practicality
You can install it. No scooter comes with footrest nowadays you have to install it separately
@@MugenKami99 yes but those are being fitted by showrooms itself or in other scooters there are actually provision for installation but here no provision neither local mechanics can do that and the air box is so big that it sticks out of the scooter already and installing a footrest means you have to be always careful in traffic
@@agnivpal9208 there is aftermarket ladies footrest you can buy it. I purcahesd from my local market and is available online too
10 I will go for Yamaha Aerox ❤
It takes Time to Study Indian Market.
Yamaha knows it Well. 😈
& knows how to Lure Indian Ppl with Better Price.
🙏❣️🇮🇳❣️🙏
Bro what is stopping you from reviewing Honda bikes like cb 350 rs...stop making pathetic reviews on scooters
We are waiting for past 6 months to present our views on Honda vehicles, they are not available for anyone currently. We don't appreciate bad language or wrong tonality. If you want to be part of our community we expect you to follow our guidelines else we don't need you here.
Feel free to disagree as much as you like, that's absolutely welcome. Notice we didn't object to what you said, Aditya, just how you said it. Oh and you get no say in what we post or delete.
I don't get it .....Just get a motorcycle...the yamaha has neither the usefulness of a scooter nor the thrill of a motorcycle...it loses out on both fronts
Yes and that's why the Aerox customer is not your average scooter buyer... and therefore it will never sell in large numbers here in India
I dont understand why people buy these
Its like asking why people buy cruiser scooter scooter market is very big and have 500, 600 cc
@@MugenKami99 what is the pros of those scooters ?
@@lauralassan325 performance without gear. It's good to cruise without the hassle of gear. For those who want power and storage
This types of scooters serve the purpose of commuting in City without the Stress of changing gear in every speed breaker
