Without this video, I never would have gotten my PV2+ back together again. I crashed it a while back and was convinced that I had done major damage to the gimbal because the flat cable looked fine, including all of the connections. I got a two pack of the cables on Amazon for about $25 and decided to give this a try. I installed one of them and all systems are now 100% functional. Thanks a lot! You just saved me $590!
Amazing, absolutely amazing. I do worry that you don't put the screws into a bin of some kind but your knowledge of how this piece fits together is enviable!
i have them on the rag right there and i actually know exactly how many screws and which kind goes where so there is never a confusion :) i know, is sound like a nerd!! LOL
Thanks for the video! Enya was keeping me calm in the face of much stress for this first timer. I'm happy to report ribbon cable replacement was a success first time around! Don't know why you didn't put some annotations, it would help a lot. I had a hell of a time figuring out your "sign language". Although, like I said, Enya was a plus. I re-assembled in a slightly different order, but still worked. I'm tempted to do it again and make a video of my own with a zoom lens or magnifying glass. Nah, that will never happen!
Alex Dantas Well, the gimbal worked, I can record video and take still shots and tilt the gimbal but there is no live feed. I think there is also a problem with the image processing board located on top of the OFDM PCB, at least that is what DJI support hinted at.
Alex Dantas btw Alex, all the tutorials on changing the cable are useless, it is much faster and easier than that and you don't have to disassemble the gimbal. You only open the back cover of the camera (4 screws) and the cover of the upper gimbal control board (4screws) The rest of the flat cable latches along the gimbal arm can be opened with a tiny hook formed at the tip of a needle and closed with a toothpick. Also note that you have to start installing the cable at the camera side and not the upper gimbal board.
Laughing at song choice, Sail Away. Just funny to me. You make it look so easy but I would have tossed something by this point. lol Not so good with small, delicate things.
Flat down, where you screw in the camera... now it depends, because V3 camera are the other way around. in either case you want to have camera lens facing you and half moon shaft facing you too when screwing in.
I am having problems weigh a p2v+ gimbal..i had ordered a roll board...i think I needed a put h board though, the one I took out had a P on it...they look the same ..is there a difference , because it just beeps now

+TheA8W12 just replaced it with another one...still three buzzes. Wonder if one of the motors is fried. A crash broke the camera off the shaft, so I had the ribbon replaced. They used epoxy to hold the camera on. Worked good for a few months. Then another hard landing and the camera came off again, so the ribbon broke again. Tried to do the fix myself, but wondering where I went wrong. I bought a pack of two ribbon cables. I wonder what the odds are that both are junk.
Thanks for following up! I am wondering if some of my epoxy got into the motor after I glued the camera back to the shaft of the gimbal. These are the cables I bought: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RLU5TZ8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Great video but can you please clarify which way the flat goes on the camera mount shaft? Flat down or up? Thanks!

Yup, red blinking light and those beeps indicate bad ribbon cable.
