I didn’t know you two new each other. Is it is amazing that two RUclipsrs that I watch when I visited New York know each other and hang out. Really cool. You tips made my first trip to New York so much fun. Thank you
I'm a native New Yorker, but now living in Atlanta, GA. I love both your channels and you guys have given me some great places to try and explore that I, as a New Yorker, never knew about. Keep up the great work. 😊
I live in Flushing, so many more places to try, dumpling houses, hot and sour soup, food on a stick, we even have a decent pizza place right on roosevelt. even though some places have closed, many are trying to hang on, thankfully the locals are starting to venture out. instagram.com/big.bryan.karaoke.foodie/
my boyfriend used to live in Flushing, he moved to Glendale in the summer (still Queens) but we both miss Flushing so much, nothing compares to the food
Glad to see someone with local knowledge sharing a place that any tourist would never find. Great looking food and much quieter than China town in Manhattan. Would be on my itinerary when I can return.
Definitely Flushing is much busier than the Chinatown in Manhattan because Flushing is a very dense residential area. True that tourist don't venture to Flushing. But young Chinese families does not live or go to the Manhattan Chinatown anymore. Mostly very elders still live in Chinatown Manhattan. On weekdays Manhattan Chinatown is very quiet without the tourist and out of town visitors while in Flushing it is busy everyday. Weekends is chaotic.
I live in Flushing, and as I love Asian cuisine because I lived in Taiwan and Japan for 6 years and traveled quite a bit throughout Asia, this is the perfect neighborhood for me now.
That Peter Griffin cosplayer aka Robert Franzese is a New York Comic Con staple and quite famous! You met cosplay royalty! Also miss the food in the city. I have never been to Flushing and I hope to in the future
I love Flushing! I can imagine staying there for a few days just to eat. Also loving the new lenses/camera Jon! It gives a different but nice ethereal vibe.
Jon, absolutely spot on, every time I visit the Big Apple 🍎, I always spare a morning for Flushing for dim sum #yumcha, or an evening for something more substantive for dinner. Flushing has so much much atmosphere, also make room for some ice cream at Flushing Ice Cream Factory from the same family of Chinatown Ice Cream Factory.
This is one of the great videos of Flushing's Chinatown! I love it! The food must be real good! Actionkid is one of the greatest hosts and tour guide in all of NYC and the world! Thank you guys!
I was born & raised in Manhattan and know so much about it but unfortunately I know very little about Queens & Brooklyn. Talk about not getting out of a comfort zone. My sister lives in queens and loves it! I love authentic Chinese cuisine.
My neighborhood! Thank you for shedding light on Flushing's many restaurants. I feel like despite some foodies knowing about it, not many people actually do come to Flushing to venture out. The Coop is one of my favorites restaurants and before the pandemic, right after a good night out, Leaf Lounge right above probably hits home for a perfect ending. Not to mention that much further down in Northern Blvd, there's a slew of Korean restaurants that are just amazing~ I definitely hope you check it out on your next visit. Also by far, the busiest right now in terms of traffic despite the pandemic. Hands down
There are some absolutely delicious restaurants around the park you guys sat in at 6:00. I walk on Main Street nearly every week and this video makes me want to try to expand my palette more!
Flushing is definitely more for locals. Some tourists do go but like you said the commute is a journey. Heck even if you live in Queens it can be far. Flushing must be preserved at all costs! Love that place. I go there every week even worked in it. The Coop is my favorite, not lying I actually went there every week in the summer. Fun thing for my history buffs out there, Flushing has a ton of history including the site of religious freedom in the US. Lot of history, lot of culture and of course lots of delicious eats!
Oh my goodness...i watched this this morning while getting ready for work🤤 It was wayyy to early to be wanting Asian food but oh my word it made me so hungry!!😍😂 Lol I was all dang it Jon!😊 When I finally get to come over there-for real- all I'll be doing is eating. No sleeping, no touristy things, just eating. And it's all your fault!😂😂👏 But I'm not complaining😁 But for real, your videos are looking *amazing* these days. SO professional. Excellent work as always!!🙏
I've been watching some different NYC travel vids doing research for a family vacation (homeschooling mom of 4). You are BY FAR the best! Your information is relevant, to the point, and delivered in a pleasing manner. Keep it up!
Omg thank you , me and my family move from California to new York a year ago and it's so helpful of you to give us place to go, thank you so much . I love seeing you wife in your videos 😊 mi paisana mexicana 😘
A trip to Flushing Queens will definite be on the list on my next adventure in the Big Apple!!! Thank you both for another amazing and oh so tasty video! Keep healthy and safe !
Honestly, Saturday I experienced Korean Fried Chicken for the first time, soicy yes, but not too spicy, it is one of the tastiest dishes I have eaten in a long time. Next Friday I'm going to order it again. Mnomnomnomnom 😃
Queens looked like a normal Friday today. Lots of people eating in more and more elaborate outside seating areas. Forest Hills has gotten really busy the past weekish. People have returned for the reopened school year. Their schools are rated 9 and 10s. So far the NYC schools have had only 18 positives for Covid for students. It’s still early but that was out of thousands of tests. I was in Manhattan on Tuesday and it’s getting busier but still a fraction of the other boroughs. It’s startling how many people are still hanging in other NE areas.
Actionkid knows his stuff. Out of all the neighborhoods in Queens, Flushing is my favorite place after Forest Hills. I have tried at least 20 different restaurants and food stalls in the area over the past year and a half, and I am glad I have 3 new spots to try. (I've been to White Bear). Also worth noting is that Flushing is a great neighborhood for parks and religious institutions. I thoroughly enjoyed this video Jon, keep up the good work.
You guys are awesome!, And there he is Action Kid!. So confusing trying to make decisions with so many choices out in that section of Queens. Tourists and many others should follow your recommendations, I subscribed and liked, Stay safe guys.
Action kid is the guy who walks everywhere right? Haha, very relaxing videos. Also I live in in fresh meadows so I go to Flushing a lot. Love me some hot pot. I hope they open back up soon :(.
This is better than if Rick Steve's was showcasing Queens..So many ethnic foods to choose from led by a home-grown connoisseur guide. You guys both compliment each other and make NYC, Queens and BK shine..So refreshing. A savory, concise 10 plus minutes.
I’m from Flushing but even I haven’t messed around too much with the local Asian food (outside of the typical Chinese fast food hood spots). I’m tempted to start, I think I’m going to dive into the hole in the wall dumpling spots and The Coop.
A lot favorites food in flushing, I been living in there for 27 years now, enjoy the food while you in there, a lot new restaurants are open now, a lot choices you can choose to eat also
That tiramisu looks like the best ever! I am craving this but cannot travel as a result of Covid ☹. I really need to return to NYC and explore some more. It will be great to have a guide like you or ActionKid. See you in 2022.
This its my neighborhood for many years. And sure its a beautiful place for Many Things but Food its the Best you can Eat .its like Having A little peace/taste of around the World Just love it

One of those collabs that you really look forward to - and two people who really love their food!
I like how the camera man got involved in the video. Cool man
There's no doubt Jon will come back to Flushing just for the food even after he moves to Brooklyn!
You know it.
I'm a native New Yorker, but now living in Atlanta, GA. I love both your channels and you guys have given me some great places to try and explore that I, as a New Yorker, never knew about. Keep up the great work. 😊
Are you sure? Brooklyn Chinatown is a lot more convenient for him to travel to.

Say hi from Thailand.
JamesandKarla are great NYC youtubers, as well.

You guys made that a lot of fun to watch👍
THanks.

Also miss the food in the city. I have never been to Flushing and I hope to in the future
It’s so random this guy is reviewing food with action kid and then they randomly meet Peter griffin 😂
The collab we have been waiting for!
White Bear is a classic! We’ve eaten so many plates of the #6 over the years
Epic indeed
I love Flushing! I can imagine staying there for a few days just to eat. Also loving the new lenses/camera Jon! It gives a different but nice ethereal vibe.

I agree haha
Like always you never disappoint me, you bring something different on each video you make. I love the celebrity and the Asian food.
Those chicken wings look amazing. Definitely putting that on my list when we go back to NYC
I love it when you do food related content on your channel. This was very enjoyable.👍
Amore Pizza and Lucias pizza are good in Flushing
Yay! I’m loving this video!! I love both of your channels and I’m so glad you guys collaborated 💕❤️

With all that great food in the area who would eat at McD or BK or Popeyes?
🥴
The Chinese people in the area love Popeyes. They get sick of Chinese food too.
I got to my Chinese spot and definitely also gotta get Popeyes before I take the train
No Popeye's. No Peace.
You must try Jollibee
I love your videos and your friends! Great job showing us everything!
