Hey harkirat, I've followed you back when this video came out while I was preparing for my JEE and it felt like watching a dream but now, I've come here after watching your montage and I can't imagine the emotions you've felt and the experiences you've had throughout your college life and beyond. This is truly motivational.
The saddest part is maybe they did get in by chilling (obviously not all the time). It took me a long time to accept myself but it did not crush me, only liberated me from the tyranny of my own expectations. :)

Those who are really into it are getting high salary jobs , doing research , becoming entrepreneurs and living a settled life . And most people are rotting in those useless private engineering colleges ( NOT GENERALIZING!!!) ending up unemployed and then blaming the government .

Exactly. They'll definitely get a job because companies want "potential" guys, doesn't matter if they're already "skilled" or not, they want the guys who can be trained easily, and obviously IITians are those.
@@amans6504 not true tho especially for big companies like google microsoft,amazon. they only take if u are skillful enough. Even the companies like google doesn't require any degree. they only take you on the basis of your coding skills not on a degree from overrated college like iit's
@@aadi2606 nope bro, true that Google hire non degree guys too but still, you can't ignore the fact that the IIT tag with Microsoft/ibm internship tag on ur resume does matter, and that internship is again.. easy to get when you're in IIT, The tag opens you some of the gates, rest is your skills.. But one thing, Believe me there are ton of self taught programmers which are way more talented than IITians, but still they do not get noticed by Google, Microsoft.. they do get but it takes more effort.. All in all, that IIT tag just matters....
@@aadi2606 Microsoft, amazon visits tier 1 colleges, there you have to compete with just your classmates in that coding round only, nobody is asking there for your competitive programing skills, no, just solve those simple to moderate ds algo based questions and that's it. Nothing complicated.. But if you want to take off campus placement, then you know.... You have to be just extraordinary, may be a strong codechef profile, which again need your sweat...
I agree totally with you that being in IIT or in NIT you get a chance to explore more things and after that you can decide that what you really want to do in future. And jobs are always there if thing you choose doesn't work out for you.

Regardless, I’m currently contracted under ESL and working on esports events for around 12 LPA (stillin my third year btw). I’ve got a long way to go but I’d say my passion has definitely switched from tech to managing large scale events.

Dont get carried away by his video guys and think that he enjoyed his life at iit and all he did was chill. He have enjoyed his life there obviously but not as shown in the video as in one of his video he told that he didnt slept the whole night when he didnt got selected for gsoc in first year there are very people who are capable of even applying to gsoc in their first year and he says in his video that he enjoyed completely in his first year and didnt took his academics seriously he is also a candidate master on codeforces which itself is a very big feat and he also participaterd in the acm icps regionals also cleared gsoc twice i guess so guys yeah he enjoyed his life at itt but not as shown in this video
