Very fitting! In the book Thorin plays a harp during that song :)
Really? I didn't know that. Thank you for sharing this interesting detail!
That LOTR lyre marathon is incredible
I'm glad you enjoyed the marathon! I have one more to come, lol.
I see you did a redue of this song. It sounds better then the first one, has words to go along with it and it does not use a pick. Good job!
Yes, thank you for noticing! I'm glad you enjoyed the redo of the song.
Your teaching method is very good, making it easy for people who want to learn to grasp the key points. Not only that, the landscape behind you is refreshing. Regardless of the teaching method or the background, it is very good. Thank you for teaching. Samantha❤🎉
Thank you very much! Glad it was helpful! ❤
Your videos help a lot when learning new tunes, been learning how to play a lyre for a week, I still have long way to go. 😊
Glad my videos helped! 😃
Great! What about "Burn butcher burn" from Witcher? Please....
Oh, so lovely! Makes me want to pick my lyre again. ❤
Thank you so much! I'm glad you found it lovely!
I love this song so much! Thanks😊
Thank you!
Thank you so much!
I've seen multiple people in the comment sections on this channel ask "can you play this song on a seven string lyre?" The answer is yes. (I will be posting this comment on every video so everyone can see it)
I had the same problem so I tuned my lyre to be E F G A B C D so I'd be able to play almost any song on this channel. The only problem in tuning the lyre this way is that you can't play 2 of the same notes on the lyre on higher cords
Example: (G G') When that happens just play the singular G note
if it looks like this: G G' -Just play the G note twice
Sometimes, certain songs have lots of different notes in multiple keys that you may be unable to fit onto your lyre.
Random example, you might need EFGABCD C’ B’ A’ for a song, but you only have 7 strings. First, you can just play C instead of C’ or you can experiment and possibly use D because it has a higher note, and it may sound better (or worse) but you can try that out.
Secondly, most songs use two hands, usually with one hand as the main melody, and the other with the background melody or beats. If you use both hands for the main melody, you can remove the extra background notes but that will take lots of time. If you want to play a song but the previous method didn't work for you, you can tune your lyre to be able to play the main melody. It may not sound whole, but it is identifiable. (think of it like those piano tutorials on youtube, the easy versions have the main melody but most of the notes are removed to have the most basic sound)
It works but you may have to occasionally tune the cords for certain songs that are higher or lower pitched of your song. This way works (for most songs) and I know because I learned a few songs already.
Thanks for the help!
Brilliant 😊
Thank you!
I'm big fan of jjrt and I have all the books and I love all the lotr and hobbit movies this is amazing thank you for covering this beautiful songs🙏🙏💜🤎🧡🩵💋
It's fantastic to hear that you're a big fan of Tolkien's! It's a great honour for me that you approve of my video. :)
Nice❤
Thanks! :)
❤❤❤ as always, awesome break down
Thank you so much for the kind words and the lovely hearts! 💖
Great! Loved it as all of your content. Could you please do the "Waltzing Matilda" 🙏
🔥🔥
Wow, you're super quick!
I love your videos!
Thank you! 🥰
Hey ! I love what you do ! Do you think you could play the intro of "Over the garden wall" that's a great cartoon about poetry I watched as a kid. The song makes me very nostalgic and I think it would sound great on a lyre with you playing !
It's pretty nice. Do Hell is forever next pleas
Have read LOTR recently?🖤 I have read LOTR when I was very young- I was 12 or 11. It had impressed me! I loved the old cemetery scene🖤
Wow, you were only 11 or 12 when you first read it? I never dared to attempt such thick novels at that age, haha
I absolutely adore your covers, and they've helped me tremendously with playing. Out of curiosity, would you ever consider making a video about how to rearrange notes for the lyre? (Totally not asking this because I want to play "Indigo Night" by Tamino Amir)
Hi. I have actually thought about the idea of making a video like that. I play by ear most of the time, and I find it hard to explain the process. 😅
@@SamanthaonMars ohhh playing by ear is a crazy talent
@@schiiia Thank you!
This is beautiful, Samantha!
Can I also do a lyre cover based on your notes?
Yes, of course! :)
Is it okay for a beginner to have a 24 strings lyra?
Yes because the less strings you have the less songs you can play therefore it would be easier to play then lets say 7 strings.
Can you play “ Mad World “ - Gary Jules ❤❤
I also support this.
Helloo
Hey, hello!
Hi, friend!💗
I once wrote you a comment that I dreamed of receiving a lyre harp for my birthday... Lyre harp will come to me on March 7th and I am very happy! For me, your videos are inspiration and *motivation*. After all, I believe that I can learn to play as well as you.
I wanted to ask you something... Could you do a cover of the Melnitsa - Ovechka song one day? (ruclips.net/video/cOheLZHGhsA/видео.htmlsi=953-LhkrkzE5nPfl Мельница - Овечка)
This song helps me continue to live. I really dream of one day learning to play it on my future lyre harp, which I will receive in March. I will be very, very grateful!
If you want, I can even email you the translation of the song and what it’s about. I'll be glad.
Thanks again!!🌸🌸
Hello! Today is March 7th when I'm reading this comment. Has your lyre harp arrived yet? I saw that you also asked me in another comment about Sola's lyres. I'm afraid I don't know about this brand. I'm listening to the song you suggested right now as I'm typing. The song sounds nice, and the singer is very good, although I have no idea what the words mean. 😅 If you don't mind sending me an email, I can try writing out the notes of this song for you and email it to you. I'll be able to do this for the melody, and not the accompaniment. What do you think?
