I would be ultra careful with scissors. Big potential for injury. Its hard enough with watch tools. Ive tried the needle nose plyers. It was still too tight. I then tried the plyers from a leatherman multi tool. It worked. Seemed a lot more stable and firm. Maybe a lower centre of gravity as well. Still, take care in the process. Maybe wear a glove if using a hand as a vise. Protect the back with a thin plastic or scotch tape. Requires a firm grip to hold and a coordinate pressure down and turn counter clockwise with the other hand. (If on a solid object, protect the watch face. Then push down and hopefully it will give. While holding either side with fingers on the body or in combination with the strap.) All this process requires a little patience and care. Hope this helps.
Thanks so much for this! I thought I was doing it wrong but just as a tip need to apply quite a bit of force initially to get it moving. All the oher videos showing a watch wrench asif people just have that lying about at home XD
Thank you for this - just a tip for anyone watching, the trick is to use the scissor tips as a pair of pliers.
Its 2022 and this is really helpful...many thanks 👍👍👍👍👍
