    Thanks for sharing your Mom's kimchi recipe. I truly enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to make it at home. Kudos to you and your Mom.
    I'm sure you enjoyed your vacation in Korea. It's really nice having such bonding activities with your family, right? Being a Mom, cook and wife and having this channel surely have its own struggles ;) so I hope that somehow you were able to recharge all your energy. Btw thank you so much for all your effort in this channel. I used go browse on your blog before but having this on RUclips made it easier.
    PS: I'd never work on kimchi with my bare hands either. I remember hearing from someone that it's really difficult to wash off. The orange stain will stay in my hands even after washing it with soap multiple times.

    • @aeriskitchen
      @aeriskitchen  3 года назад +1

      Well ~~~ 😅 I'm sorry that I use American measurement for my recipes... it will be more difficult for you to covert it to grams... I used 5 lb of Napa cabbage for this recipe..which is about 2200g... so I will suggest you to cut this recipe is half..but the ratios should be the same... you might want to leave some kimchi paste out..but it should be close enough ~~~

    Can you make an updated video using only 1 Napa cabbage?

    • @aeriskitchen
      @aeriskitchen  5 лет назад +1

      actually It's not the matter of the numbers of napa cabbage head..because the size of the napa cabbage vary... can make a big difference.. What I can suggest to you is... weight your napa cabbage weight if you try one... you can make the kimchi paste as I make in this video... use some of your salted napa cabbage... then freeze the leftover kimchi paste..and use it whenever you want to make kimchi again later... how about that ? ^^

      You can also make vegan kimchi using pureed shitake mushrooms, or I'll even use mushroom stock powder you can find at Asian stores for more depth of flavor. I don't really taste strong mushroom flavor doing this method

      Megan Freeman so how much do you add, usually? I hate having to avoid shellfish but the price of epipens is so outrageous and I love the guy to death (40 years together and counting) so I'm not looking to court anaphylactic shock!
