- Since 2020 was the year that it was, I thought it would be interesting to capture what day to day life is like for me as we collectively try to return to some sense of normalcy in the year 2021. This vlog captures just an ordinary day of my life in a year that I hope brings back all the things I took for granted before. I hope you enjoy and I hope to see you tomorrow!

When you lose a member of the family it hurts. Praying for peace and comfort for you and the time will come when you think of Genesis you won't cry, but you will smile because of the joy she brought you. It will be okay, but it will take time.
You were blessed to have her for 16 years. This was not an easy decision but the right one.
I don't have a dog, but this video touched me in so many ways. Loss is not an easy thing. I wish you the best moving forward.

I had 5 dogs. I had to put my one of my dogs down two years ago. My line sister just put one of her dogs down this past Tuesday. I believe we have to be brave for our dogs. You are a warrior of love. Your last true act of love is being brave for your dog. She is at peace now. I asked my dog to come and visit me right before she passed and she showed up in my dreams that night and several times after. You WILL see her again!! Dogs have souls and her spirit will join yours later. Please understand that you did the right thing. She was instantly at peace. I pray for your strength. Please mourn anyway you need to. We will be here when you get back.
I am so, so sorry. I lost my dog last February, so I understand the heartbreak. When I lost my dog, a friend sent me a card with this quote: "When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we are far apart. Just remember the paw prints I left in your heart". 🐾🐾🐾🌈
I have a dog who is like my favorite buddy. He is the only dog I’ve ever had and this is my greatest fear. I know this was difficult, but thank you for sharing. I’m praying for your peace and comfort.

Your precious Genesis certainly knew how very much you loved her. What a blessing you were to each other for all those years. I’ve been following you for a long time but I normally don’t comment. I’m a dog lover...my first grade classroom is dog themed. I have two giant fur babies myself and I can remember dog names much easier than people names. I’ve loved watching your Ginnie and Riley...they’re just precious. It’s so easy to fall in love with someone, but yet so painful to have the courage to do the right thing. I am so sorry and in time you will be able to think that you were blessed with such a beautiful soul for sixteen years. When you heal you can tell us all the funny stories Sweet Genesis did. Do you realize her goodbye to you was when she chew your sweater. Cry and cleanse your broken heart, but remember you have another fur baby who needs you too. My deepest condolences to you.

I know it’s hard, these cleansing tears are good for your healing. I had to put my 16 yo shihtzu down a couple years ago and I thought I’d never be the same. You did the most selfless thing you could do for your baby. God bless you and I’m so sorry for your loss.
So sorry for loss! I lost my first and only fur baby almost two years ago. We had him from 7 month to 12 yrs. The last year with his life was truly difficult to watch but I wasn’t ready to let go. Please take good care of yourself and know you did everything you could to care for Ginny! Letting her rest was the right decision. Mommas knew what their babies need! Sixteen years with her is amazing and you will carry her in your heart forever❤️🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️

So sorry, I went through something very similar last year. My cat passed September 20th and it was devistateing. It is such a hard thing to watch them go through and you feel so helpless. She was old (10) and I really wanted her to get better. She passed in my son bed after me checking on her like 3 hours prior. My Mom and Auntie came over the night before and we were able to have a girls night with her. I think about her all the time, my son still breaks down. I hope all is well with you and your family.
So so sorry to hear about Genesis. My heart goes out to you and your family who loved her. It's hard losing a pet, hopefully knowing she's not in pain anymore will bring you some peace over time. I honestly believed she loved you as much as you loved her. She'll always be a part of you. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🧡

I’m so sorry. I lost a pet a few years ago, and it was so hard. Especially when you have them for years. She loved you and knew she was love. I happy you were able to take her on a few walks in the stroller before she passed.

This was extremely emotional and trust me, I felt all the feelings.
Please know how sorry I am to know what you are going through. You did the right thing. It would have been so much harder to come home and find out that she had passed. Genesis lived longer than most dogs and this speaks to the kind of mom that you were and how much care you gave her. You are allowed to grieve because you have lost not just a pet but your child. She loved you as much as you loved her.
