An interesting perspective: young people in Japan have the ambition to work for the government; the government in Japan is printing money to buy stocks in corporations. The government is printing money like there's no tomorrow and spending on bridges to nowhere. These policies are socialism and communism in practice, which will end economic progress at best and lead to social disruptions.

I wonder why Japan hasn’t increased the tax and also hasn’t accommodated immigrants in the same manner as Denmark or Germany.
The people no longer want to work as used to be. The tax can offer funds to increase social services for the aging population. And they don’t want to raise kids as they were. Immigrants will offer a fresh base of taxation’s.
The answer is simple. Increase the sales tax rate and accept immigrants.

A wealthy elitists view of future economy. He could not be more wrong in many respects.
The US, Europe and China will split into seperate regional economies looking something like how major cities operate. They will benefit and produce yields by sucking up all the resources of smaller surrounding countries. They will be more like local imperialism that will help to develop those counties tremendously.
My advice is to invest in those satellite countries such as Mexico and Vietnam.

This guy gets a lot of 'facts' wrong. Nearly everything he says is incorrect.
Japan never spoke Chinese; it adopted its writing system.
MMT is not a prescription, but a description of how the modern monetary system works. Neither does it posit 'unlimited' money printing, it says that inflation is the limit.
Nor was it tried in Zimbabwe or any place else.
There is precious little immigration out of Japan.

Haaaaaaaaaaa Poor Jim is stuck in the gold standard lol. The economy is not going to crash and Japan is going to be fine with all that debt, debt is meaningless, (MMT). The promise of the reduced work week is at hand, humanity will move into the leisure age. Automation will continue, urbanization will continue guaranteeing population decline. Three classes of people, the New Aristocrats(tell everyone else what to do), servers(majority of population, they serve) and the Technicians(Highly skilled scientist, doctors and engineers) they keep everyone alive. All we have to worry is that with the coming population decline nothing happens to the Technician class, here is the danger to humanity, everything else is political endeavor.

Japan has too much debt, should cut spending.thats wrong. Japan has no debt, rather lending more money to foreign countries than borrowing money. What he calls debt is just how government spent money in the history. Government debt is Japanese people's surplus. Japan needs to print more money and invest on the economy, infrastructure, increase salary for young people, education, and technology. Receiving immigrants is a huge mistake.
