I tried ordering Superblast 2 several times, and my order was canceled every time. I'm honestly over it at this point, and I don't even want it anymore. I'll find a different shoe.
Very disappointed with this launch from Adidas: the amount of run-cosplayers who got it VERY early and blew it up, the weird lifestyle marketing materials of an Adizero product (very "getting groceries in Alphaflys"), the raffle release/limited quantities for people who just want to run (I failed with 2 attempts at a sz11), botted releases on other sites. Just release a shoe when you can make enough stock so runners can run Adidas.
100% There’s enough great shoes out there that this whole hype marketing stunt has totally put me off these. The fact that they ask you to fill out a little questionnaire on whether you liked the hype launch (they actually used the effing word ‘hype’!) was the final nail in the coffin.
It's fair game to talk about the way Adidas chose to release this shoe, but seriously, "run-cosplayers"? Get your head out of your a$$ and keep the elitism for yourself. Your 5k pb is some Kenyan's zone 2.
Cafe Runner as Cafe Racer ❤ Love it and buy it - Thomas just created new running shoe category !!!! Hope more companies will follow with shoes that both great at daily running but also at casual fasion as adidas is exploring 👌
Thanks for making a video comparing these versatile shoes. I have the Asics Superblast 2 and I'm waiting on the release of Adidas EVO SL in our country
I'm choosing the Evo SL just because it has the Lightstrike Pro (LSP)foam which I really really love and I'm glad that it has the same LSP as the Adios Pro 3. The Superblast 2 is great but I find the new foams too soft for my liking. Maybe I'm just too attached to my Superblast 1 which is one of my all time favorite shoes. 😊
I have the superblast. Never wore the adidas. But I can tell you that miles after miles of running on sidewalks the superblast will superlast and feels amazing to me. Liked them so much I bought 2 more pairs I only use on long runs and mostly run the novablast for interval training and 5ks. I may buy the adidas if I can find them.
I got them both and for anyone curious, evo sl has softer feeling - if that’s important for you and sb2 is more structured (as mentioned in the video).
@mrne1433 If I had Evo SL earlier I think I wouldn’t buy SB2. And if you have SB2, you don’t need Evo SL. If you don’t own any of them, I’d suggest the cheaper one.
@@ser1ification Got it, thanks for your input. Heard many good things about the SB2, it's probably the most popular and most talked about running shoe on the internet ever.
@@mrne1433upper, stability and grip of Superblast 2 make it more worth it vs the Evo SL in my opinion after having run in both, though just short distances so far in the latter. SB2 still feels more premium, and the stiffness of the midsole gives it a more responsive pop.
Just a quick correction. The main foam on the Superblast 2 is FF Turbo+, not FFTurbo. FF be Turbo+ is what is in the Metaspeed Sky/Edge Paris while FF Turbo is what was in the Metaspeed Sky/Edge+.
Great review. Exactly the info I was looking for. I was between 3 shoes (these two and the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4) Now I'm between two - Thanks for helping 🙂
@ thanks for the feedback, I’ll report back on the first run (10k to 16k) Also have Adidas Prime X2 arriving tomorrow if anyone in chat has experience with them?
Other daily trainer options that might be more available out there : Asics Noosa Tri 16, Nike Pegasus Plus, Asics Glideride Max, Saucony Triumph, Asics Novablast 4
Sold my Superblast 2's as I just didn't think they were as good as the hype made them out to be. Replaced mine with the Prime X2 Strung and find them much nicer to run in 👌🏻 I will be picking up a pair of the Evo SL's when they finally release in the UK 😎
Congratulations Adidas for launching the EVO, that is what I needed was an Adios Pro 3 without a carbon plate, I don't understand why there are so many carbon plate sneakers on the market, I use them in races and on some long training sessions... waiting for this Adidas to arrive!!! great video
Aaahhh, yhere's just so many good shoes out! Would love to add the SL to the collection. But I bought so many this year! First going to run in the Mach X2 and superblast and AFTER all of that I'll see what's up with new shoes. The bank is closed until all shoes are worn :))) Yeah right :)
For many SB2 is infuriatingly pricey and if it had any deal-breaking weakness, or if any of the major components (response, cushion, comfort etc.) that people deem important were mediocre/disappointing it would have been driven out of the market very fast. The fact that they are popular at that price alone already proves their worth
Have OG SB and SB2. Still running in my OG. I would agree evo would be great for casual wear and bring on a trip if I could only bring one pair of shoes and not have to care about taking care of a shoe.
i actually regret that I didn’t buy a pair of SB2 when I was picking up my runner kit for Toronto waterfront run. They have full size available there and also the meta speed sky and edge.
Seems like a very good shoe but I already have SL2s and SB2s and Adios Pro 3s, so there's really not much reason for me to buy it. Kinda falls in the middle of those shoes. I'll still probably end up getting a pair once they're available lol
The "I don't need it".. but if it's available and I've got the extra cash.. "sure I'll get one" mantra that is the curse of running hahahah SL2 FTW!! I think people sleeping on the SL2 is criminal!!
I'm with Meaghan here, I think these shoes serve different purposes. I think the Evo SL compares better against the Peg Plus, as they're both in that performance trainer category. Which one would win, the returning Turbo or the Pro Evo 1 for the masses?
I have the Superblast 2. It is my favorite shoe I've ever worn for any kind of exercise. I'd love to try the Evo SL but for $50 more I might rather just get a second pair of SB2s.
38/32 stack on the EVO SL is almost as much LSP as the AP3. As someone who really likes the Adizero SL2, this is a definite buy for me upon general release. The Superblast 2 is a definite pass. I have the SB1 and the geometry just doesn't work for me. I'm constantly fighting to get over the foam in the forefoot to roll through my stride. By all accounts, the foam in SB2 is not soft enough to change that issue.
You’re so rite. However i think they will sell out once they do drop in march and people will buy 2 pairs when the end up going on sale later in 2025. Mark my words
Wow I like the SB2 but equivalent of $260 is nuts--Puma MagMax is just as good for me in general and even better at slower paces than SB2, lower cost and higher availability as well...
Two different shoes for two different target markets. The Pro Evo 1 is Adidas' most recognizable silhouette in running (that non-runners recognize) and it's only fitting the brand creates a version for the wider audience.
How can we chime in when the Evo SL isn’t available yet? The Adidas SL2 is an incredibly great shoe so if the Evo SL is anything like it then it’ll be fantastic. The Superblast 1 was fine but the SL2 is easily better. The opinions on the Suoerblast 2 have been much more mixed from what I’ve seen.
We aren't buying running shoes with how they look casually for the cafe/hanging out. At least I'm not. I have casual shoes for that...SB 2 all day... And if you are a teacher-15% off, healthcare worker-25% off, etc from Asics. Makes the SB 2 $185 for me. I'll even take the Zoom Fly 6 over the Evo SL...
I wasn't a fan of the Rebel v4 because it was soft but had no bounce at all. I bottomed that shoe out after 1 mile. I have a few Adidas shoes with Lightstrike Pro foam, and it has much more bounce than the fresh foam. I can't imagine that to be the case that the EVO would have less bounce. Then again, I'd love to get my hands on one to try it, so this is all just assumption.
i want a comparison between superblast2 vs deviate nitro elite 3. They cost the same price and the dne3 has good durability too! In my mind the dne3 is superior.
Superblast 2 is always sold out and has a hefty price tah. If the Evo will be widely available (since adidas is criminal in terms of stock.) goin with the evo.
Superblast was soooo slow, I don't understand this idea that it still has some pop or can do higher speeds, it's the slowest show i've used (excpet a gel nimbus from 2020)
