i appreciate you uploading this video i am so excited to install this on my future CRV can't wait till we see more updates on other videos you do. thank you very much happy new year. :)
My driveshaft loop is exactly the same way. Bent in the same spot exactly. I think it’s to keep front from hitting the body, the rear is a true safety loop
The instructions say to use the m12x60 on the driver side for the transmission but your video says to use the 70. Which one is correct? Only asking since it’s your video and your kit but it’s contradicting each other.
Hey brother, I just ordered your kit. I’m gonna install it tomorrow Sunday 10/6/2024 on 2002 Honda CRV and I think they took down your video. I tried to scan it and it shows no video on the Kit.
Hi what where the actual measurements of the spacers as I can't get it. Because they say the are 1.5inch rear but how does that make it a 3inch lift?? Many thanks Gary
Hello hrg fam I did a 3in strut spacer lift on my 2gen and now having trouble with alignment too much positive camber. I installed front camber bolts but only helped a little would the engine drop kit fix the problem
The engine drop kit only drops the engine 1/4”, it does not affect suspension geometry. Your best bet is to install a shorter spacer. A 3 inch spacer is too tall for these. 2.5 is pushing it and works best with a 1” subframe drop.
I just recently bought this lift kit and barely put it on today. There seems to be vibration coming from the front when I accelerate any thoughts? One thing I didn't do is rotate the top of the spacer 180 degrees I don't think the instructions said to do that, why did you do that?
Dear; I would appreciate your help, I bought a 2.5" kit but it does not come with the green tubes, for a 2.5" kit what height should these green tubes have (would they be 2.5" too?) ... Regards
Ben for the drop kit Why put a larger hole spacer on the spikes just to accommodate the lip? Just mill the smaller spacer a bit wired on the bottom. The way you are doing it now puts way too much pressure on the bottom and its more prone to snap.
I understand what you are saying but that’s is not true based on our experience. The large hole spacer fits flush. There is no additional pressure and the wider hole has nothing to do with the tip. The bolts in fact do snap easily when people install the spacers incorrectly. I actually explain this in the video at 4:10. At one point we were drilling the smaller ones out but it added labor cost and people were still installing them wrong. It didn’t solve anything so we switched to a spacer that was already the correct size.. It’s worth mentioning there are guys that have had this kit correctly installed for 3 years and counting, trouble-free.
@@hrg_tv Just saw your comment. Yes, I saw that in the video but the way it is now you are putting all the stress on the lip. Which is preferable to the alternative, but it's still not the best way to do it. I don't know anything about the production I guess it makes sense to have a different item for this position to avoid people messing it up.. Just saying it can be better. Let's hope we all drive our cars trouble-free.
@@martinnedyalkov9185 Your statement implies that we have no idea what we are doing. You might be right about that, but we are always learning and improving our products. We noticed the failures you are worried about do actually happen but only when the spacers aren’t installed properly. So the real challenge is showing the proper way, which I feel like we have accomplished with this video.
IT DEPENDS ON THE DESIRED STANCE. IF YOU PREFER THE REAR TO SIT 2 OR MORE INCHES HIGHER THAN THE FRONT, YOU WOULD USE THE SAME SIZE SPACERS FRONT AND REAR.
The mileage is not effected by the lift, but by installing larger, heavier tires, roof baskets, and heavy off-road gear. The lift does cause poor on-road handling. The engine and transmission will seem sluggish after installing larger, heavier tires. If your main concerns are mileage and handling you may want to consider leaving your vehicle stock.
I installed the 3 inch lift on my 2004 Honda CRV and I'm looking for some steel black rims to slap my 235/75/15's on, but i'm having a hard time finding the right rims. Can someone make a recommendation. I already messed up one order and really want to get it right this time. Been asking around and still cant find an answer. Thanks!
@@danielgardzina6982 thanks for the offer. I already figured it out. I didn't understand the lug pattern and how to read wheel measurements, but finally figured it out. I had to get old jeep wheels with the same lug pattern.
Does this kit work with the "S" vin numbers (UK built, right hand drive, 2 liter CRV's)? Also, how is it getting in and out of the vehicle? Do you need running boards?
I just bought the 3in lift kit (today) . It’s for my 99 crv 5speed, what is the biggest size tires can I fit ? And does the 3in lid kit comes with the trailing arm spacers?
Your video or instructions also fail to mention that without trimming the passenger side stud on the motor mount equipped with ABS, you cannot get the nut off.
I love farting out of my mouth too, ahhhhhhh yeah!🤪 question, how much stress is this lift putting on the cv joints or is the lift not putting them that much of a bind? Burrrrrrrrrrp, ahhhhhhh yeah! Thumbs up on this video buddy, take care. 👍
Im jealous of how rust free that CRV is
Me too 😭
Its because its not a crv, They are working on a Honda Element
Where do you live?
Thanks for the big help I got 02 CRV I’m going to do it too.
Lol watching that brake line stretching while you fought strut to go back in
Anyone have a link to buy this kit or similar please 🙏
Awesome video! I recently just purchased an 04 CRV. I will ordering a lift soon.

Same, it always seemed weird to me.
Nice video. Wish we could have seen a before and after shot.
Is the follow up video still a thing?
The instructions say to use the m12x60 on the driver side for the transmission but your video says to use the 70. Which one is correct? Only asking since it’s your video and your kit but it’s contradicting each other.
One of the spacers near the power steering doesn't fit at all and will have to be ground down in order to fit correctly on my 2004 honda crv
At 15:10 I'm more concern about the rubber brake line that's gonna snap when you pride down to make that strut fit in...LOL
Can u pls help me provide a complete list of spacers and the soecs of bolts to buy. And where to buy this complete sets
hrgoffroad.com sells everything you need
Need a video install on the 6" kit. I have the 3" and maybe considering getting the 6" but wanted to see the differences/installation first😬
The camber bolt u put at the end, I’m confused as to what you do with that. I’m a noob when it comes to Honda’s and suspension
Why does the subframe and motor mounts need spacers why not just the struts
I’m having trouble aligning my subframe again, if I put one bolt in on one side, the other side is too far over for me to thread in the bolt
Not seeing the lift kit for the gen two on your site :/
Awesome work!!!!! Thank you..... Now i can buy the kit😊😊

It's the geometry. The 1.5in spacers are inboard to the frame enough, that the resulting lift between tire and wheel well makes it 3 inches.
Where are you located? Can you do this to my 2006 Honda CR-V? How much it cost? I’m in Long Island New York! I really like the way you work.

Why would u sell a 3in lift if it’s not going to work
@@hrg_tv curious also HRG, why sell a 3" kit if the positive camber will always be too much?
I know this video is old now, But does anyone have the link to the After lift kit installed driving video? Could not find it on the channel.

Juan you bought a 2 inch kit. This video is for the 3 inch
I recommend the 1.5in lift. Theyll fit it upto 30 in tires no problem. No drop needed.
I have a minimum of 12" clearance on my 05 crv.
No axle issues ? Front and back 1.5?
@@EATSLEEPJD none. But you may need wheel spacers when going thick tires.
@@EATSLEEPJD but the boot will rip for sure if you're using old front axles. Rear will be fine

That front driveshaft safety loop is in the correct spot, it does NOT loop through. I know because I've done a ton of research on this exact topic 🤣

What size wheels are on the crv and what offset?
Excellent video , very informative. I spaced the handbrake cables from the body aswell tho.

I have a 2006 Honda Crv, what measures of wheels and tires does the truck support?
Hey bro! Greettings from Panamá could You tell me if I can Buy that spacers kit on internet? Thanks bro! Amazing video
Do we need drop kit for subframe/engine/transmission when installing 2 inch spacer?
I currently ordered a 2” lift spacer for front and rear it should be fine without it but i would replace your sway bar links and ball joints
Theres gonna be a lot more tension on those parts so replacing them would be the best option
Reason why you put spacers...
donde puedo encontrar ese kit de bujes o de alsas

I am a bit confused. Lowering all of these components is not lifting anything. Why not just get taller coilovers?
An excellent video with great explanations. However, is it really worth all the work? Especially if you don't have a garage to do it in.
Only you can answer that question and no one else.
Hi there HRG,
