BFR is now Starship and it’s a reality.
And it has landed
Then it went 💥
@@nazikjasim1762 but landed, which had never happened until now.
2:57 Starship with the booster is taller than Saturn V. Maybe at that time it was scheduled to be smaller...
I really hope SN15 lands. So hyped for tomorrow

Crazy how old this video is, but so well shot. Starship now over 30ft taller than Saturn V... Just shy of 400ft tall... Insane!
That's pretty darn big. And god damn, those VFX were fantastic!
Please do more videos like this. It's so interesting to see things next to something I actually know. You know.
No it’s Falcon Big!
I just love how excited Wren is about this and the solar system one, teaching scientific realities
It's why when he had to do graphics for that flat Earth bullshit he was just like..... Seriously..? I don't want to condone that to impressionable kids, it's no different than a cult, teaching kids the world is on a turtle, or a cube, or geocentric theory
The true next evolution of space exploration though is a space elevator.
Carbon nanotube wire connected to a seagoing platform and a huge rock way out in orbit
Then we have solar powered platforms going up and down constantly, getting WAY more material up in space for way cheaper, and then construct our vehicles in space
Erecting a big falcon rocket!
Loved the way you represented the landing legs knew I had to stick till the end. Just Amazing!
Couldnt agree more, he presented this video so well

2:48 I actually thought that was real for like 2 seconds
Wait.. It isn't?
Advik Vedantam I thought it was lmao
It's hard to believe that it's not
No. it is not real because vertical stabliser is not there
aye just think of the weight
Thanks for watching, everyone!! This one was a huge experiment for me and I'd like to make more! Any ideas for other videos I can make?
I would think it could be really cool if you tried to do an explanation video on all sorts of other things! so for instance, how the camera's work or maybe other interesting things like that! you could still use 3D models as a sort of blow out visual representation of all the parts. personally i'd absolutely love it if you were to get in touch with one wheel to show us all how the one wheel works! it would be a good opportunity for you to make a video about something you are passionate about. good luck for future videos!!
A re-make of powers of 10! Or 3D visualisation of all the electromagnetic waves around us all the time like radio, cell phones, and wi-fi. Or something to do with scale and biomechanics like the relative strength of an ant. Hey it could be an ant man tie in.
The relative scale idea really works so I'd suggest more along those lines. Maybe taking other large objects and placing them in fun and amusing locations. The educational element is essential though.
SirWrender Let us see how manly Jake is
Statistics, urbanistics, economics - something that has stats and data people find hard to wrap their heads around, and you can visualy represent in a creative way. Also, maybe you should colaborate with some YT science channel, even some smaller one?
It really took a long time to wrender these huh...
nice
Man you're everywhere
wrender you mean render right
DeanBond his name is Wren..
Ahh, I didn't get that either. EverydayAstronaut sent me here.
no, I was doing a lame joke
2:57 BFR is Starship now. And the new Starship is now bigger then Saturn 5 xD
You need to update this vid my man. The latest version of Starship is now going to be 120 meters tall, beating the Saturn 5 by a noticable margin.
I used to clean the building where they assembled the boosters freaking huge sadly its was all rusted and hasnt been used in decades except a few offices in the front now its been destroyed
Honestly, Wren reminds me of a really excited puppy. He's adorable :>
Wait you mean to tell me he is not an "Overly excited puppy"? My life is a lie.
imagine Wren mixed with a Morgan Freeman Deepfake :D :D
Superb! Brilliant job, Wren!
I'd love to see more videos like this. I think they'd even warrant their own channel.
YES. I can totally see this as a science channel!
I would subscribe to that!
Oh man a Wren engineering science channel would be so good! Using VFX to teach!
But Jake would want to merge that with the main channel.
The amount of custom VFX work for a science explanation video would be enormous! A big part of what we see here is probably open source 3d drawings and stuff. Doing all of it would be to much for little Wren!
you need to update this

Hey, starship is now ready.

i dont know whats more impressive the rocket or the editing technology
absolutely 100% the rockets haha
but the vfx were still really impressive.
there is a yt tutorial on how to start camera tracking
ruclips.net/video/kzym73lhmD4/видео.html
is surprisingly simple to start bus as many things are hard to master.
2:25 there is some drifting as the track wasn't perfect
@@sakari_119 Agreed he needed to put in more track points.
Oh definitely sitting at a computer and using some software is harder
@@andrewc1036 People actually made the software. That's what he is referring to. The *technology* not just the editing
The VFX in this video are AWESOME... You should call the series WRENdering things

Top notch video. I love everything about it, from pacing, to cool motion tracked VFX shots, to cool looking typography. Very informative too, and although I could imagine size of the rocket, it's easy to forget sometimes and this is nice reminder. I especially loved the shot with statue of liberty because I kinda forgot about it's scale.
Good job Wren, and rest of the Corridor Crew.

My god, wren is so good at this stuff. So entertaining because he's so excited!
i love watching this and seeing the cgi rendering of the BFR and now knowing its an actual starship that flew yesterday
Yes
2:10 This "f" word pun is the reason I believe Elon Musk renamed BFR to Starship.
Actually it was not a pun (although he used it as one) The actual name was Big F-ing Rocket. But was made clean with Big Falcon Rocket
Its the BFS now so the F still stands. Also Elon Musk would purposely fight to keep that pun in, like how he named the tesla cars model S 3 X Y
He hosted meme review ffs
Sumanitu the BFS was the top portion of the BFR. Bottom= SuperHeavy and Top= BFS. Put together it was BFR. Now it’s just SuperHeavy and Starship. Not sure go watch Everyday Astronaut
- cparker3692 - yes, watch the guy that mixed up prograde vs retrograde several times. No thanks. Not saying what you are saying might not be true, but I definitely don't trust that channel.
Edit: here's a video where EDA calls it the BFS ruclips.net/video/gbbBJ3CqsTE/видео.html
Good job Wren! Not that I’d expect anything less.
Best channel I've discovered in a very long time. Consistently good videos.
Thanks Wren +team!

Thanks for this video, and looking forward to an updated episode with the full Starship and Super Heavy booster.
Congrats on 1 mill corridor team! its well deserved :D
"Because it's really Falcon big," is now my favorite thing ever.
BFR now is called Starship, and it's stained steel. It would be great if you rerender this video with actual shiny rocket.
Starship is stainless steel which I guess would be the opposite of stained steel. :)
@@williamgreene4834 lmao
Nice video, Wren! It's amazing to see how much has already changed on the Starship (BFR) just since this video.
Yep. Not even any legs to graphically represent any more!
You didn’t show the Saturn V in context!?
Otherwise. Cool.
Yeah Saturn V largest rocket in history
This is what we were all waiting for

@Nicholas Olesen I'd agree with you if anything bigger had been built, but sadly it hasn't.
We also should have had a representation of the See Dragon concept

Neel wren do you think he should do that. 😂
It would also be fun if he had to wren-t his house! xD😂
Wrens knowledge bomb videos are arguably the most informative and entertaining videos on RUclips. Truly remarkable.
This is “falcon” awesome! More of it please!
can you make a video showing a falcon rocket flying by at Sea level at Mach 22? i think that would look totally badass.
Awesome idea, we really don't get the idea of how fast these things really go.
weeee
Unmannedair it’ll probably be there for just a frame and it’s gone haha
The whole rocket doesn't reach that speed. You cannot bring a lot of cargo and have a rocket that gets to orbit in a single piece. So you build a series of of rockets the lowest is a big heavy lifter that gets it off the ground to maybe Mach 5-7 and 50 km altitude, then it breaks off and a smaller rocket remains now lighter with a full tank and a smaller more efficient engine accelerates it in vacuum. The Falcon 9 does this in a two stage manner, the lower part with the landing legs and fins gets it up to about a hundred km at Mach 7 out of the atmosphere and moving sideways at a good speed and then it's basically empty, drops off and leaves the much lighter second stage with only a single instead of 9 Merlin engines to accelerate in space to Mach 24-36 (missions to high orbits or the moon need quite a bit more speed than low earth orbit).
Unlike any other rocket ever built the first stage with the heavy (and expensive) engines doesn't crash into the ocean but flips around, powers its engines back putting it on a return trajectory, reenters the atmosphere and lands on ships or back at land depending how much fuel they got left after the mission, ready to be launched again. This is why people hope SpaceX will be able to reduce the cost of spaceflight from hundreds of millions to mere thousands, by perfecting reusability.
You wouldn't see it and the pressurewave would destroy your device 😂
Great video, Wren! Your excitement reminds me of old Bill Nye
Jacob Carlson You mean young Bill Nye 😏
yeah young bill nye was great, as soon as he became political he became irrelevant. 2 things you never discuss in public without distroying your reputation, religion and politics.
Yes, exactly. His enthusiasm could inspire a whole new generation of scientists!! So good.
