Lenobis I absolutely agree 👍. I just started watching her videos and I'm very impressed on how unbiased you are when making comparisons. Thanks for the video. Right now I'm still loving my LG3 but I was going to purchase the Note7 but we all know where that went. But, I do still like LG, which is why I'm still interested in V20. I don't know about switching back to Samsung but the Google Pixel XL looks amazing just IMO, over priced. I still am undecided.
Lenobis yeah, Lisa does great reviews, and she has the knowledge of what she's talking about no matter if it is a phone or a computer, she always nails it.
And by the way I haven't seen one other reviewer actually dive into the settings and show that you can manually change the color of the display. Thanks Lisa.😊
Edwin O same here, love it over the note 7. lg is a fresh change from Samsung. I use nova launcher, love the manual control of the camera app, actually really like the second screen too
I've had my LG V20 since Nov. 1st and fell in love with the phone in the first hour. I had the Note7 and find this phone to be a great replacement phone.
The_LG_V20_User I bought a V20 via Amazon to replace my Galaxy Note 3 (Yes I've been using the same phone for the last 3 years). Hope to get it soon! It's the international B&O version (H990DS) for the the Taiwan market. Only reason why I bought it is because my Note 3 doesn't charge properly. USB jack is damaged. In addition, the voltage/amperage regulator inside the phone which controls charge draw does not work properly.
you are shooting in 16:9 that shoots in a significantly lower MP. you need to open camera then settings and adjust to 4:3 16mp to get the most out of the camera
At the beginning of the video the battery % is 51%. By the end, after she's barely doing anything with the phone, the % is at 40%. check 13:42. That doesnt seem very good to me. And in all honesty, it's the mixed opinions ive been getting on the battery life of this phone thats keeping me from buying it. the LG V10 had notoriously bad battery drain. the battery being removable is irrelevant to me, I dont want to carry around any unnecessary accessories for a phone. Can anyone comment on the battery life?
I bought this phone two months ago. I really like it. what made me buy was the storage space, I was in desperate need for more storage, my old phone had only 8gb of storage.
Strange, gsmarena gives the LG V20 an overall battery life of 63h (20:17 3G, 7:39 Web, 8:32 video), and the S7 Edge 87h (22:32 3G, 10:09 Web, 16:54 video)
i always get a high density high abrasion capable case/screen protector for my phones esp when they cost 600+$....so things like bezels are merely a joke to me bc the case always wraps around the "boarder" and where can the edge shine...in a case....smh its ok gorilla glass will surely not crack
I can't help but notice you've still got the protective film on the fingerprint sensor/power button. I think you'll find it works a lot better with that off :)
Great review as always. Have been watching your channel for a few years now and I love how you just "get it". You let us know your preference, but always understand why someone else may feel different. It goes beyond giving an unbiased review. It means you comprehend the product. Unfortunately not all reviewers do. Thanks for doing a great job!
here let me help performance wise equipped with a 1060, it will not offer any performance disparity to any other similarly equipped 1060 laptop ssd ram cpu inclusive....in reality what you should be looking into is what "ergonomics, screen quality, keyboard feel" the late 2016 blade offers over its predecessors because that is what is going to "differ" in your user experience over the other "options" you are considering in all honesty, and if were talking a 3200xxxx resolution or something beyond qhd 2560x1440....then do you really think the gtx1060 is going to run any games on that res....native....(with the inclusion of FXAA or MSAA, as well as the higher depth of field settings or AA and so on)...so theres some parameters...A tip if that discouraged you is to do what i do and let nature take its course let the late 2016 model lower the price of the earlier models and get one of those on sale :) then you can invest in all the AAA titles dropping in Q4 with the money you saved and enjoy that blade to the fullest
Loving this phone so far. Only thing I don't like is when watching RUclips videos the second screen interupts the video for a split second before going full screen when switching to landscape. Anyone else noticing this?
did i miss something, or did you not review the well-regarded audio capabilities of this phone? supposedly, its a game-changer for those with capable headphones. i wouldve liked to hear your esteemed opinion.
I had and art history teacher in high school who had the same voice as lisa but spoke must slower because she was pretty old. it was first period, the lights would go off, and she'd talk about pretty pictures. i think i slept through every class, and not even because i wasn't interested.
Can you review the Huawei Ascend XT? I'm planning on buying one but can't seem to find any reviews on it. It recently came out, and it has some surprising specs for it's price tag. (Octa-Core and only $149?!)
Great video as usual Lisa. I love your laptop and mobile phone reviews. There's something so honest about the way you do your reviews. Keep up the good work! I got a V20 based on your initial video about it. Cheers!
Lisa, would you do a video covering focus speed of V20's camera? I wonder how fast it is. I have a v10 and this is too slow compared to these days' Galaxy S7 and iPhone7.
would you say the battery life on your S7 edge compared to this LGV20 being lower due to the former's battery being older and more used than the latter?
great review as usual. Can't wait for you to get your hands on the new Alienware R-13 version 3 with Oled display. Also the new Razor Pro 17 inch. Both high-powered and very expensive laptops, would love to see what you think of them.
This is my favorite phone so far and I've had many of them. Love the one handed feature (just like the note4) had. BTW thank you for all you do. great reviews.
Hello Lisa , I've heard many complain regarding the Boot Looping of LG Phones ; does V20 Boot Loop after a period of time too ? I'm planning to get one and after reading many reviews online about the issue , I'm quite skeptic about it . Could you please confirm if this issue still persists with the new so called flagship phone ( V20 ) too ? Considering the fact the this is the only Phablet available right now with the Quad-DAC and IR Blaster and a good overall build quality ; all the bells & whistles maybe useless if the phone's going to die in no time . Any idea about the V30 launch date ?
I've heard issues with loose headphone jack, rebooting and hot batteries? I know my LG G2 got super hot it burned the screen and I had to replace it.... that kinda left me with a bad taste in my mouth regarding LG products.... What's the heat like coming off this thing?
It appears to me that there is going to be a shakeout in Android phones eventually. I think Google is beginning to see that all the different Android phones with their own customizations are becoming a negative factor in the Android world. The Pixel phones have something that other Android phone makers don't seem to want to match, namely the pure Android system, free and unlimited storage of full quality photos and videos in the cloud, and multiservice SIM compatability. (Required by Google Project Fi) The high prices of the Pixel phones are probably a concession to the manufacturers of other Android phones. They want the Android world to be dominant over the iPhone world, but they see that offering an iPhone world approach to consumer sales, i.e. where they are in control of all the features and services related to their Pixel line will command a profit margin comparable to Apple's. An added benefit is that Google Chromebooks will offer the Android system integrated with ChromeOS. The final stage of Google development will probably take place when Google's Andromeda OS supersedes both Android and ChromeOS and is offered in phones as well a laptop/tablet convertibles, as Microsoft has tried to do, but which has not really succeeded for them.
Great review. I have this phone. Had it since Oct. 26, also the Verizon version. I am loving it. I am coming from an LG and Samsung experience. I had the LG Spectrum 2 and currently still use my LG G3 along with the V20. Early in the video you used the power button to turn off the main screen. I find it easier to just double tap it to turn that display off. Another note, I am loving the fingerprint access feature. Camera is great, I shoot manual and DNG most of the time. Also love the focus peeking. Microphone features rock. Thanks again for your review.
checking "Knock on" and "Knock code". It is the best combination with back power/fingerprint and softkey. don't need push buttons when I use phone. touching (not push) finger to powerkey fingerprint scanner and touching blank screen to wake up, and if you need security, just use knowk code. and find some configuration to register HOME base on GPS/WiFi, then you can use knock on at home and use knock code outdoor.

I am not getting app notifications in the shade, in particular, interactive notifications such as those from Amazon. That is a big part of Android, so I am hoping that is just me. How about you? Any luck?
Great review thanks do they make this in a smaller version ? I am particularly after the DAC Audio quality? but don't need anything larger than an iPhone (not plus) size
I have Ordered Sony XB55 earphone as my OLD XB90 was damaged, and also ordered a LG V20 Lemme know do headphones like XB55 have any special effect with the QUAD DAC or the change in quality is only Noticed with High END 150$ + Headphones?? Plz need to know this
thank you for the review. i have had my lg g3 since a few weeks after it came out. I've been waiting for the v20 to upgrade to cause my g3 gets hot sometimes and the battery dies in 2 hours.
Still loving my V10 and as a fairly light cell phone user (gasp!), I don't feel the need to upgrade. Only complaint I had when I switched from the Galaxy Note 4 was battery life. Now carry a small charger with me which I only had to use once so no problem. Also live being able to bolster storage with the V10. Nice review though. Being familiar with the V10, I would consider the V20 if I ever get to the place where I need to upgrade. Thanks!
Hi Lisa, I would love to see you review the new aorus x7 dt v6. I enjoy you're reviews a lot since they are very balanced and down to earth. thank you very much for your great work! much appreciated!
Lisa a good review ! I want to try this phone with my SE846 headphone actually, a good audio quality is what I need but don't know yet will the phone works because I usually hear the nosiy sound on a cellular phone due to the high power units.
Upgrading next month from the fantastic V10 unless Huawei shakes things up and gets the Mate 9 on T-Mobile's shelves. Then I'll have some things to consider.
I had my doubts that only with 100-300$ very high impedance headphone will I get a difference!! Just a quick question to sum it up..with a fairly cheap SONY XB55 AP in ear headphone according to you I will indeed get a better audio output plugged to a V20 compared to say Mobiles like S7,MotoX etc..?Or will it sound the same And also does the V20 contain a Better AMPLIFIER Hardware(Dedicated AMP) compared to other mobiles ?
Hi, Lisa, I love all your reviews! Is it worth to pay extra to get a phone with 6G RAM? Will it make the phone last a bit longer or is it just an useless "extra"?
djchristian82 It just seems that they take up valuable screen resolution with the size that they are. I'll find out soon enough when I get mine this afternoon.
uktech well there is an option to select which apps to make the buttons completely disappear. so you can effectively use the full 5.7 inch screen. This goes beyond apps that automatically do it. You just swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or from the right if you're using it landscape) to get the buttons back.
i always lol @ ppl that constantly have why? to ask and merely want the whole world populated with clones of themselves(its only obvious) bc personal preference and customizing settings is and should be overlooked in a world of just me.....lmao smh when thats a major selling point to some(me) lmao w.e again the prototypical "why" person....bc one couldnt merely rationalize why....and when answers are given to justify ones own actions....the answers are never enough are they lmao bc again apparently im not a clone of you which is the real problem here
I currently have an LG G3 and of the 3 that we purchased, 2 of them didn't last more than 18 months because of the screen dimming to black (my research says this was due to bad soldering that failed on the motherboard. I tend to believe this because I took my phone with a good screen and swapped the motherboard with a broken screen G3 and it worked). Does anybody know if LG has fixed this issue with poor soldering? I don't want to get the V20, just to have the same problem again.
Thanks Lisa....Your Reviews are elaborate and pointed and cover the details and help a buying or otherwise decision. I have enjoyed your reviews. Can you explain a little bit more on the speaker sound other than the Headphone Quad DAC?
You did not mention if this phone has shutter lag or the autofocus performance, both of which are important to current flagship SPs. The truth is no matter how good the V20 pictures are, the lack of PDAF will greatly compromise the real-world performance, especially when you shoot a lot of moving animals or kids. Plus, there aren't many differences among these new flagships, regarding the photo quality.
And you did mention the autofocus performance of pixels, which did do well. I really like your reviews so please don't avoid mentioning the weakness of them.
lol yeah im glad i waited had the original g 970s first gen...for 4 years almost got the g3 but then "free upgrades" ceased to exist with the great phone plan monopoly of 2014...which stuck me in a hole, when the g5 came out i almost got it...but then i saw the android 7.0 add then rumors of the quad dac then confirmation, and the wide angled lens etc and so on i was hooked, now im planning on owning the v20 for 4 years as well lol. So long as LG keeps the OS up to date....my g didnt support pokemon go....which was strike 1, strike 2 was espn fantasy not supported, strike 3 is now my screen isnt responding and i cant pull my drop down settings menu and 3 letters on my keyboard dont work which prompts me to flip it horizontal...but then the entire couple mm of where the status bar was not working so when keyboard is horizontal.....i cant use back space or the search button....which in turn forces me to flip it back to vertical....total cluster f of bs. Still its 4 years old so i give it the benefit of the doubt...LG still packs the best hardware in their flagships.
Nice review. However, I am upgrading my phone next year but don't know to get S8 Edge or Note 8, I don't really use the Pen as I don't really draw or take many notes and I can just type that on S-Notes anyway if I need to use them, however I like the bigger screen size.
lg v20 is the only option imo. top tier specs, replaceable battery, expandable storage, high end audio, and more.
Lisa I absolutely love your videos. You make such an honest and "real" impression which most other reviewers lack.
Lenobis I absolutely agree 👍. I just started watching her videos and I'm very impressed on how unbiased you are when making comparisons. Thanks for the video. I got it. After returning my note 7. Now One week with it and I love it.
Edwin O does it get bright enough outside in full sunlight?
doubledoubleandfries yes it does. I had no problem with it.
Edwin O same here, love it over the note 7. lg is a fresh change from Samsung. I use nova launcher, love the manual control of the camera app, actually really like the second screen too
How's the battery life?
John Cosak it's a big range, but I'm getting anywhere between 10 to 20 hours, depending on how hard it's being used. 15 is average for me
This phone looks so much better than the pixel IMO. Good job on ID, LG.
I've had my LG V20 since Nov. 1st and fell in love with the phone in the first hour. I had the Note7 and find this phone to be a great replacement phone.
I have the LG V20, and I love this phone, its beast..
username checks out.
The_LG_V20_User Hello, how long the battery can stand after u used 2 months?
The_LG_V20_User I bought a V20 via Amazon to replace my Galaxy Note 3 (Yes I've been using the same phone for the last 3 years). Hope to get it soon! Theodore Thorpe yeah I got mine in the Philippines it came with a nice earphones
Tiger Gray
I got the LG V20 from Verizon and it it didn't come with headphones.
Lisa..i love watching your review videos. I have the Titan V20 and will keep this device until it dies.
you are shooting in 16:9 that shoots in a significantly lower MP. you need to open camera then settings and adjust to 4:3 16mp to get the most out of the camera
every other reviewer said you couldn't adjust the colours. that's good to know! maybe they updated it
Mick Harrison
I was thinking the same
The intro looks significantly better
Glad to hear it :) I think our intro experiments have come to an end, and this one is a keeper.
just needs a new music track
+natee NO NO new music track

I bought this phone two months ago. I really like it. what made me buy was the storage space, I was in desperate need for more storage, my old phone had only 8gb of storage.
if I had mony I'd buy this over any other phone
planing on getting the good old v10 soon
I love this phone better than google pixels phone!
Two months later got my bo h3 headphones too. Still a great phone camera has been awesome.
One of a few phone that still has micro SD card and removable battery. I approve, except for the size.
I wish LG kept the rugged style. Both are good looking phones but I prefer the v10 rugged style.
I actually expected more information about the display settings.
Strange, gsmarena gives the LG V20 an overall battery life of 63h (20:17 3G, 7:39 Web, 8:32 video), and the S7 Edge 87h (22:32 3G, 10:09 Web, 16:54 video)
Those black bars on the side of the screen in 2016?i love samsung and its amoled screens and those small side bezels
poikatiikeri
agreed
poikatiikeri they may look cool but really, its impossible to use these phones without touching accidentally the screen
i always get a high density high abrasion capable case/screen protector for my phones esp when they cost 600+$....so things like bezels are merely a joke to me bc the case always wraps around the "boarder" and where can the edge shine...in a case....smh its ok gorilla glass will surely not crack
Automatic thumbs up at 11:06
What is the cat's name?
Thank you for the info about the Dac regarding bluetooth vs. wired headphones!
OMG that swimming pool is legit...real talk :)
Can you review Zenfone 3 Deluxe special edition ? please
Yusri Ichwannoor no
I can't help but notice you've still got the protective film on the fingerprint sensor/power button. I think you'll find it works a lot better with that off :)
Where is the LED notification light on this light? It was omitted on the V10
What are the steps in making an mp3 as a ringtone for a contact group and an mp3 as a message notification
Great review as always. Have been watching your channel for a few years now and I love how you just "get it". Unfortunately not all reviewers do. Thanks for doing a great job!
hey what's up with the new opening lisa
I'm loving my V20!
Bootloop issue on my V10 one month after the warranty ended. Go figure. Hope this will be a serviceable replacement with no issues. Fingers crossed
You can also turn off the front display by tapping the screen twice without touching the back power button.
Does it come standard with a bootloop?
;-)
when are you doing a review on the late 2016 razer blade? (the GTX 1060 one)
Still waiting for our review loaner. Razer is slow.
i hate that

hey lisa, will you be doing a review of the razer blade late 2016 (1060)
Yes, we'll be reviewing all three models, but I'm still waiting for their arrival from Razer's review loaner program.
Loving this phone so far. Only thing I don't like is when watching RUclips videos the second screen interupts the video for a split second before going full screen when switching to landscape. Anyone else noticing this?

god i just love listening to your voice

I find it relaxing to listen to her
best asmr artist out there

Can you review the Huawei Ascend XT? I'm planning on buying one but can't seem to find any reviews on it. It recently came out, and it has some surprising specs for it's price tag. (Octa-Core and only $149?!)
I wonder if there were ever be a viable VR Goggle experience with the LGV20?
Another fabulous review, always the latest tech and the greatest synopsis--and fun!
Great video as usual Lisa. I love your laptop and mobile phone reviews. There's something so honest about the way you do your reviews. Keep up the good work! I got a V20 based on your initial video about it. Cheers!
Excellent Review!! One of the best reviewer out there!!!
Lisa, would you do a video covering focus speed of V20's camera? I wonder how fast it is.
I have a v10 and this is too slow compared to these days' Galaxy S7 and iPhone7.
lisa, can you do a comparison of the iphone 2g to the 7 plus? would be really cool
Cat not included...:(
any idea what the contacts are for frm the back cover to the 2 pin contacts next to the sim and sd card slot? its only on your review I notice it...
I hope this phone doesn't have the boot loop problem the previous lg phones have
Hi Lisa, please do a review of the Huawei Mate 9 high-end smartphone and please compare it to the LG V20 and name brand smartphones
would you say the battery life on your S7 edge compared to this LGV20 being lower due to the former's battery being older and more used than the latter?
great review as usual. Can't wait for you to get your hands on the new Alienware R-13 version 3 with Oled display. Also the new Razor Pro 17 inch. Both high-powered and very expensive laptops, would love to see what you think of them.
LOL, I can't wait either!
Seems like quite a few people are having problems with the glass covering the cameras cracking and breaking.
Lisa's in 60fps! Mind blown!
does the second screen bleeds during night times?
I don't get why people say can this camera beat the S7 ,GP, iPhone maybe?, but that's why it has a manual mode not ultra hdr processing , gz
hi
questions: how do I get that music app on that lg v20? where is it on the v20?
This is my favorite phone so far and I've had many of them. Love the one handed feature (just like the note4) had. BTW thank you for all you do. great reviews.

hi-fi audio system...something sony should've done great audio quality..i'd love to see the old walkman phone series back

You're my go-to gal for everything tech. I enjoy your reviews. BTW, you missy are awesome.
Solid review, thanks.. Enjoying your channel, keep up the quality work.
Awesome video! Love the intro and still love watching your videos. Thank you so much!

Any comparison video come up?
What would you like to see it compared with?
MobileTechReview A comparison with the Pixel XL would be great.
Both are good ideas- I'll do it!
V10 perhaps? Even the G2 if possible
Ui Uy The G2, lol.
Would love to see a Huawei mate 9 review!!
The screen color adjustment is for people who are color blind, and it isn't really meant to re-calibrate the colors on the screen

thank you for the review. i have had my lg g3 since a few weeks after it came out. I've been waiting for the v20 to upgrade to cause my g3 gets hot sometimes and the battery dies in 2 hours.
Great video Lisa!
Thanks!
Hi Lisa,
I would love to see you review the new aorus x7 dt v6.
I appreciate your video, Sista. detailed and informative. Thank you.
Will it make the phone last a bit longer or is it just an useless "extra"?
wow at the wide angle and 4k video
Any way of reducing the size of the on-screen buttons?
yeah its in the display settings
djchristian82 It just seems that they take up valuable screen resolution with the size that they are.
I don't want to get the V20, just to have the same problem again.
awesome review i wish they had this color for the tmobile version!!
I really like your reviews so please don't avoid mentioning the weakness of them.
this review is just making me hopeful LG will roll out their nougat updates for the G4 and other lines sooner rather than later.
please Asus zenpad 3s 10 review ???
Very nice review. thanks. I do own the LG V20 and love it, came from the LG G5 and I got to say I am glad did.
lol yeah im glad i waited had the original g 970s first gen...for 4 years almost got the g3 but then "free upgrades" ceased to exist with the great phone plan monopoly of 2014...which stuck me in a hole, when the g5 came out i almost got it...but then i saw the android 7.0 add then rumors of the quad dac then confirmation, and the wide angled lens etc and so on i was hooked, now im planning on owning the v20 for 4 years as well lol. Still its 4 years old so i give it the benefit of the doubt...LG still packs the best hardware in their flagships.
we're gonna look at it now is probably the best catch phrase that a tech reviewer has ever come with :D
Nice review. However, I am upgrading my phone next year but don't know to get S8 Edge or Note 8, I don't really use the Pen as I don't really draw or take many notes and I can just type that on S-Notes anyway if I need to use them, however I like the bigger screen size.
I hope you will review Huawei mate 9 :) its coming soon.
Es3iya Mate 9 is the phone I'm waiting for.
