If you check with GW you will find that to play a full DW army you play a "Black Clad" codex space marine army. Which by that logic means you can use scouts in your "Black clad" Space marine army that are DW. I would have the War Com article printed and laminated to hand to if anyone complained at. Also I would make them all Black Templar DW. I could totally see the BT using the DW to hide excess scouts from the bean counters.
However, I am extremely happy with my soon to be acquired Navy Breachers Kill team. Thank you so much for your choice and looking forward to the challenge.

Break a leg at the tournament. 👍 After taking a season off with Bheta Decima, I’m probably jumping back in with 3rd edition. We’ll see about finances, box availability and how far I get with the Old World armies.
