FINALLY I cam e up with this idea 20 years ago. I was treating a lot of officers and I knew this would be better than their STOOPID belt.
Thank you for the research! Our department finally got us awesome load bearing vests called the guardian by point blank body armor
I knew this back in the army when we got flack jackets for deployment and learnt you can attach your gear to it. That was in 03. It made it all heavier but it was comfortable. Wonder why it took so long to figure it out
Thank you to the scientists who are studying this issue!
I wish these type of vest were around in 1988 when I started out but, there weren"t. My department didn't switch to these vest until late 2017.
Great job in helping the officers. On a side note Officer Vang doing traffic duty in the winter I hope you didn't upset anybody important.
I retired in ‘97 w/30 yrs, before the vests & added equipment like tasers, and have hip pain problems to this day.
I want to be a Police Officer and I would pick the Vest Carrier when I become a cop and the things that I would put on the Vest are Handcuffs Pepper Spray,Magazines,Flashlight Asp and Radio on the Vest and I would put the Firearm,Taser,Tourniquet and Glove Pouch on the Belt
I'm trying to make a powerpoint for a presentation to show the Chief of the department I work at. The embed code does not work. Can you send me one that can be put into a powerpoint?
Thank you!
Only problem with vests super hot in summer definitely agree with the back problems l did carrying all my gear they also damaged the seats in the vehicles wearing holes through to air bags
Welcome to 1973! Odd how police forces are just starting to catch on to a concept that has been in standard practice with the military for decades. Regardless, this is a good move that will improve officer health and comfort - and a comfortable officer is a more capable officer.
Right!!! I was in the Marines and liken being a cop to wearing your service B or service C uniform, then put your flack vest on under your uniform shirt while wearing your war belt without the suspenders.

Someone please tell Ohio SHP, who took away external carriers after about two years, phrased as an "officer safety" issue, which truly amounted to an appearance, form over function hangup.
How stupid.
Wish my partner looked like :40
Simping will get you killed
Being a cop isnt a physically demanding job lmfao.
