This is awesome. I try to run everything in my computer room at 100w total off the main power feed into that room. This includes monitor, lamp, speakers, printers, gpu at load. I wish people would care more about electricity, it is the key to the universe, wish we respected it more, it has infinite potential.
Apparently you don't care all that much because not only do I run a Dell PowerEdge R930 quad CPU xeon monster server with twelve terabytes of ram and the rest of my house from 10,000 watts of solar panels (32 x 320W) on my roof.
Until we have free electricity, as in geothermal power plants, having high power rigs don't make sense since sooner or later the power generation that we have now will just get more and more expensive. Since the more human beings there are, the more demand for those things that we like would be more and more wanted, i.e. everything that requires electricity, from transportation, food, housing, comfort, and entertainment. Everything rises exponentially because every family borne not just one or two children but more, thus an exponential rise for finite resources.
It's really impressive that this card matches the performance of an R9 380X (which had dual power connectors and pulled up to 300W), yet it can run off just the PCIe slot. This also gets about an extra 1000 points in Time Spy vs the RX 6400. Not bad for $100.

Maybe do a round up of all the current LP GPU options? GTX1650, 1630, RX6400, RTX 3050, A310 and A380? Also ReBAR vs no ReBAR for Intel GPUs would be nice.
My only criticism of those cards is their thermal design. Notice that their brackets don't have any cutouts, so they're designed to dump all their heat inside the case. A lot of low profile cards are designed like this and it makes no sense IMO, since they're gonna be used in places where volume is limited so they shouldn't be adding heat to the internal air volume of the case.

Also if you dont have PCIe 4 I wouldnt recommend such a card, the APUs you mentioned are generally faster if you are looking solely for a small form factor build. Also if you want a somewhat good SFF PC ignore the APUs as well and just go for a 4060LP since those APUs cost around 300$ for the 8600g and about 370$ for a 8700g. So tbh spending 300$ for a 4060 and 100$ for a R5 5500 would make a whole lot more sense in this case. I assume you can do the same overclocks with the ASRock version you tested previously as the specs between the two are the same, and they should perform the same. Also, the ASRock model is regularly $100. This one is certainly the better looking of the two however.
I just bought the ASUS version of this card. It has one HDMI and one full-size Displayport out. But the computer it's in currently does not have resizable bar. That's going to be corrected soon. Was running an RX6400, but again, the motherboard is the problem (pcie e). The Intel, even hogtied by the lack of rebar, still slightly outruns the 6400. It should improve greatly when I change platforms in a week or so.
I'm fine with call of duty at 60 frames I've never had a TV or monitor that would do over that so to me 60 1080 is just fine. I think that's the sweet spo. I wish mini PCS would do this also.
HELLO! A small recommendation, for the tests in Fortnite I recommend you play the battle royale zero build and activate the game recording options, and use that game to play in other benchmarks. Also try using the DX11 rendering mode with textures on low and render on high. People looking for these builds tend to compare how many fps their sweet builds give them.
Got a free OptiPlex with an i7 8700 from work. Will this combo do mild gaming and run some older games fine? Mainly got the OptiPlex for Ableton Live and photoshop.
That's awesome. I appreciate the review and showing the tweaks to get that higher tdp. I have an old 4790k build without a gpu since i have it to a friend. This sounds like a compelling gpu to get back to gaming on the old rig. I'm curious how the performance is with Helldivers 2 on that gpu. Thanks!
If you have room for dual slot LP but the 4060 is too expensive or you don't have an 8 pin connector please just get a 3050. Over double performance of the 380 in most games without all the driver issues and only costs 50% more(at least in Europe) not even counting the rest of the system.
If they came with say Nvidia doing the drivers, not having to worry about older software and it wasn't requiring resizable BAR, I would say it's an awesome card for the money in today's market.
The mini display port cables are what's putting me off. Wished they'd just add all HDMI considering its mainly for productivity and multiple monitor setup.
2:25 What is that unpopulated SMD at the very end of the card? That looks similar to an unpopulated M.2 slot, it looks like it has more fingers, and is missing the power fingers.
would this card be good for graphic design & non-4K video editing. sometimes people do use video cards for other things besides gaming I would love to see more low cost video cards & how they preform on things beside gaming
A used A2000 is way better value for money. The 6GB goes now for around 200ish and the 12GB version for around 250ish. You get a 192bit bus instead of 96bit and way better drivers and performance in general. Would be great if you did a comparison between this card, a 3050, an RX 6400 and an Nvidia A2000.
I'm baffled PC's are still struggling to get great performance at 1080P. 1080P is now 15 years old standard (if not older). We need to finally move on to 4k standard.
the problem is 4k implementation and costs, not much people have 4k monitors or the desire to get one, i only have a cheap tv and no interest to run anything at 4k apart from youtube videos on it
Surprisingly, Intel works better on higher resolutions comparatively against AMD and Nvidia offerings. For example A770LE ain't a match for 4060Ti in 1080p, but directly competes against 4070Ti in 4K.
I'd love to see a video breaking down the performance of this and the a310 as a 2nd gpu dedicated to encoding video. I'm considering it but I'm not finding any stats on the encoders.
The ARC cards need ReBar, or has that been fixed with driver updates??? (ETA Prime asked for questions), I do notice the card is 2 slots thick, but it does use a single slot bracket making it more compatible then the rtx 3050. The card could almost be classed has 1.5 slots.
So what would be the preferred LP A380 between this and the recently reviewed model from ASRock? I can see that the IO and the heatsink is different. Does the latter make a difference in thermals? How about the ASRock's 45w total TDP? Does that result in less performance compared to this card?
Noob question : what is the purpose of a very small graphics card? Is this specifically for people who want to travel with a desktop, therefore smaller pc and easier to carry, or could you use it on the RPi5? Sorry, I'm not the best at technology, I would say I'm about average. Cheers!
Hello, ETA PRIME. I'm interested in a prefabricated mini pc, and I like the pc case in the video because it has a wooden point. If you don't mind, may I know where to buy the case? And may I know if the RTX 4060 LP goes in?

I assume you can do the same overclocks with the ASRock version you tested previously as the specs between the two are the same, and they should perform the same. Also, the ASRock model is regularly $100. This one is certainly the better looking of the two however.
of course, sold out, this is something that would have a lot of use in my sff case
Sparkle is one of the ancient brands in GPUs I'm surprised they still exists.
I never heard of them and I’m 40 years IT Vet 😮
I just bought the ASUS version of this card. It has one HDMI and one full-size Displayport out. But the computer it's in currently does not have resizable bar. That's going to be corrected soon. Was running an RX6400, but again, the motherboard is the problem (pcie e). The Intel, even hogtied by the lack of rebar, still slightly outruns the 6400. It should improve greatly when I change platforms in a week or so.
Great video, can you tell me what type of the itx case you were using please
One of those "I do want to mention that... " videos
I'm fine with call of duty at 60 frames I've never had a TV or monitor that would do over that so to me 60 1080 is just fine. I think that's the sweet spo. I wish mini PCS would do this also.
lol, that sounds terrible, just buy something that os bad becuae you dont know how to set the tv at 120hz
Well Acer's Predator version came far before this and went unnoticed by many youtubers, that also is LP
Where do you buy those cases mentioned in the video?
Got a free OptiPlex with an i7 8700 from work. Will this combo do mild gaming and run some older games fine? Mainly got the OptiPlex for Ableton Live and photoshop.
damnnn its so cute, it reminds me to the low profile 1050
Great video! Would I still need a power supply if I was going to run this over an ADT Link externally through m.2?
That's awesome. I appreciate the review and showing the tweaks to get that higher tdp. I have an old 4790k build without a gpu since i have it to a friend. This sounds like a compelling gpu to get back to gaming on the old rig. I'm curious how the performance is with Helldivers 2 on that gpu. Thanks!
Would like to see some high-end emulation upscaled using this card.
If you have room for dual slot LP but the 4060 is too expensive or you don't have an 8 pin connector please just get a 3050. Over double performance of the 380 in most games without all the driver issues and only costs 50% more(at least in Europe) not even counting the rest of the system.
That's a big slap in the face for both NVidia and AMD....
Go go Intel!
If they came with say Nvidia doing the drivers, not having to worry about older software and it wasn't requiring resizable BAR, I would say it's an awesome card for the money in today's market.
Is that case on the left a modified A09? looks kinda neat.
used 1660 super/ti can be found cheaply sometimes like iw seen in finland there has been couple for 80-100euro
PLEASE buy the minisforum ms-01 and see if it can support this GPU if we get a custom molded case. That would be a best of a PC!
Very impressive for the price.
The mini display port cables are what's putting me off. Wished they'd just add all HDMI considering its mainly for productivity and multiple monitor setup.
Reminds me of GPUs of old. Small but capable.
I would love to see how an A380 performs in a budget Emulation build. Especially compared to the RX 6400 and RTX 3050.
I just picked up one of these gpus, but I'm interested in the case that you are using. What kind of case is that?
I'd love to see a video breaking down the performance of this and the a310 as a 2nd gpu dedicated to encoding video. I'm considering it but I'm not finding any stats on the encoders.
The ARC cards need ReBar, or has that been fixed with driver updates??? (ETA Prime asked for questions), I do notice the card is 2 slots thick, but it does use a single slot bracket making it more compatible then the rtx 3050. The card could almost be classed has 1.5 slots.
Still needs rebar
I’ll stick to my A750 that’s got way more bang for my buck, sure it’s big but it’s a beast
Ray tracing and 30fps in PS5 only gen games performance test would be interesting. Wonder if this could be a series S competitor.
bro the white background is killing my eyes
I am a casual gamer and I use 1050ti 4g, I am looking forward to move to a compact case, is it worth buying this ? Would it be a real upgrade?
So what would be the preferred LP A380 between this and the recently reviewed model from ASRock? I can see that the IO and the heatsink is different. Does the latter make a difference in thermals? How about the ASRock's 45w total TDP? Does that result in less performance compared to this card?
I would love to see how it runs MW3 with FSR 3.0 and Frame Gen enabled. I think it would hit 120 FPS or higher not gonna lie.
Frame gen isn’t a good idea for a FPS title given the added input lag but FSR 3.0 putting it into a stable 90+ fps would be sick
What case is it?
Same here
pc's need to get to this form factor with 4k 240fps on ultra graphics
*insert Mr. Sparkle Simpsons meme here*
Noob question : what is the purpose of a very small graphics card? Is this specifically for people who want to travel with a desktop, therefore smaller pc and easier to carry, or could you use it on the RPi5? Sorry, I'm not the best at technology, I would say I'm about average. Cheers!
Intel GPUs are coming out really humble.
Do all motherboards have the power for these pcie slot powered cards or is there some limitations there?
would this gpu be good for an emulation build ? thanks !
Can you add links for the entire setup? Looks interesting!
Would be nice to see how it pairs up with a budget cpu
Hello, ETA PRIME. I'm interested in a prefabricated mini pc, and I like the pc case in the video because it has a wooden point. If you don't mind, may I know where to buy the case? And may I know if the RTX 4060 LP goes in?
Sorry for being lazy, do you have a video about the computer you used on this? Absolutely interested in building something similar.
Do these Arc cards perform well under Linux? I'm looking into building something small with old parts.
okay I take back from what I said in 310's video
this is the best GPU with av1 support for older PCs
except it requires resizable bar, which older pcs do not have
No HDMI 2.1 Deal Killer!
Imagine if rummors are correct - we might get an Intel iGPU with those 8 Xe Cores
this will be sick
Have you done any emulation on these cheaper Sparkle Arc cards?? How far up can be decently played to as far as ps1, ps2, psp, ps3 etc. etc.??
yes works fine
Maybe this falls outside your perview. But I wonder if you could swap the coolers on the 310 and 380, for science of course 😏
One Of The BEST RUclips Comments You Can Thumbs Up! ETA PRIME Comment Hands On
wow very nice! would you have an idea if it can fit inside a acer veriton x2660g?
A380 is around 150 dollars in my region
I wish for these kind of gpu a budget cpu would be used instead of a i9 13th gen, maybe a i7 or i5 8th or 9th gen would be a sweet spot because I garantere no one with a high end cpu buy this kind of gpu 😊
