We just had a 5-6 day low pressure system roll in a it's a bummer after having such a good run. Highs in the 40s and lows in the flippin 30s. It's killin' me!
I was starting to worry about you! Good to see you back.. I will try to make down to marathon next week if the weather holds... I will trying some of the tips and techniques you provided in the last year or so... That reminds me I need to get a kayak anchor rig...Thanks!
Great video Steve!!!! That was a great size Tarpon, awesome acrobatic footage you got!!!! Good to see you doing what you do so well!!! Take care and tight lines!!!!
gave us a scare with a week's absence. given the nature of the sport, perhaps set up a secondary contact support, or check in here every so often to let us know all is well with u...oh I sound like a nagging parent now. NM, u live your life, we will just sit back and enjoy living the dream. anyway, nice hookups.... those are huge fish.
Good seeing you the other day. We were in the red jeep that stopped to say hello, we were worried something had happened after you were considering going out that day. Good you are back
We were down there for the week (1/2 the time up on Cudjoe and the other half in Key West)....saw your Kayak was loaded up on your car on Thursday so thought you may be going out...between the high winds and the rain it was a rough week....of course cleared up some and the winds died down on Sunday when we were leaving!!
Yea, the winds control everything. People don't always understand how much it affects things. Yea, i feel bad for the people who come down for fishing and it is windy. Lots of other stuff to do so not all bad.
No, it was way too windy to try any open water trips. We made two full day trips into Whitewater Bay and had a fantastic time (3 videos up and one more to be published). Even with the winds, we were fairly well protected where we were fishing. You are really making me want to make the drive down for those tarpon!
Im glad someone is fishing. I went to the Destin shore yesterday as the reports said wind from the NNW. Drove 40 miles....wind was 20 mph from the S. 4 ft waves crashing on shore. Turned around went home. Same forecast this morning. Drove there again (still loaded from yesterday), same thing. Do weathermen really have a clue on the weather?
Yea, already had that one eaten at night. I kind of backed off of them because of that. Looking to hit the harbor soon. Gotta figure out a good on the water Pinfish spot.
The Key West lake on patterson and 10th street is loaded with mullet all year around. You can load up there and its a straight shot to the harbor or Cayo Agua. Now pinfish....that little flood pipe on college rd is a pretty reliable spot from land and on water if you want to go to cayo agua. Little bit far from the harbor. Also the pins there are not really big. Maybe cast around the lake for them. There has to be some in there dude.
Thanks. Saves a lot of gas if they go in the right directions. LOL. You can keep those Jacks. Talk about too much hard work. LOL. Better than a gym membership so I will off set it with that.
great video Steve, great tarpon. People pay thousands of $$ to catch a silver king and you get paid for fishing lol. Nice Jack Crevelle.... cook and eat the dam thing, I bet is tasty, haha
I thought so, I'm so used to freshwater because we never have that problem. Only happens rarely, usually because the fish happens to be very old. Or when them sissy trout. I've had em die before I even started reelin
Sailfish just ended and it has been too windy to get out. The big Sportsfish guys got them though. Don't get too many Marlin around here because the Gulf Stream is so far out.
Watching that tarpon jump is magical. Great video.
That is what gets the fisherman hooked. LOL.
The hardest working fisherman on youtube is back!
The wind has finally dropped a bit. And then back this weekend.
We just had a 5-6 day low pressure system roll in a it's a bummer after having such a good run. Highs in the 40s and lows in the flippin 30s. It's killin' me!
Welcome back good to see better weather
Yea, it was a nice break. Back to the winds now though.
Steve!!!!!! Man I was worried a little bit brother, glad to see you back making these epic tarpon videos.... as always great video Mr.Steve.
Yea, the wind was horrible for like two weeks straight. Good time to take a break.

Great to have you back Steve!

Good to see you back, Steve. Great video. That is a giant jack.

Yea, took a wind break. LOL.
Glad your back !
Yea, the winds finally let up a bit.
Cool footage Steve! Glad to see you back up and at em'!
Yea, the wind finally let me on the water.
I was starting to worry about you! Good to see you back.. I will try to make down to marathon next week if the weather holds... I will trying some of the tips and techniques you provided in the last year or so... That reminds me I need to get a kayak anchor rig...Thanks!
Just pray for low winds. They control everything. Good luck out there.
Great video Steve!!!! That was a great size Tarpon, awesome acrobatic footage you got!!!! Good to see you doing what you do so well!!! Take care and tight lines!!!!
Thanks Rodney. They are a super fun fish. Definitely puts your fishing skills to the test.
Man you were having a tough week of weather down there lol! I wanted to see you holding that big tarpon!!!
Yea, two weeks of straight blowing. Figured it was a good time to take a break.
great footage! worth the wait Steve!
Yea, the wind sucks. Lots of fish out there if you can get to them.
Great footage as always!
Appreciate it Jason. It was a fun day.
I was worried about you dude. I figured it was either the wind or "hookers and coke."😂
Great to have you back and fantastic video!👍🏻
Pulling a Lamar Odom? lol
catch and coke.. i mean cook
gave us a scare with a week's absence. given the nature of the sport, perhaps set up a secondary contact support, or check in here every so often to let us know all is well with u...oh I sound like a nagging parent now. Yea, they will be around for a while. Good time to hit them up.
Glad to see you back out! Nice tarpon jumps!
Yea, those windy days.
great tarpon and the jack was nice...not a bad start after so much wind...I think Wed is going to be best on seas!
Yea, hopefully May will be more kind. April was basically a right off.
Great video. We are there next Friday can't wait to try some of the things and tips we have seen on your videos.
Good deal. Hopefully the winds will lay down while you are here.
Good seeing you the other day. We were in the red jeep that stopped to say hello, we were worried something had happened after you were considering going out that day. Good you are back
Hi. yea, I didn't go out that day. Didn't feel like getting beat up that day. LOL. Thanks for stopping by.
We were down there for the week (1/2 the time up on Cudjoe and the other half in Key West)....saw your Kayak was loaded up on your car on Thursday so thought you may be going out...between the high winds and the rain it was a rough week....of course cleared up some and the winds died down on Sunday when we were leaving!!

awesome!! those jumps are insane!!!
Yea, they are carrying quite a bit of weight as well. They definitely have some torque.
I usually go fishing. You definitely do some catching. That was some awsome hookup footage.
I "fish" a lot as well. That part is the learning process.
awesome video Steve. You got some great jumps in there
Yea, the best part about Tarpon. I always keep an eye to see if there is a Ugly Stik trailing them when they jump. LOL.
LOL , LET ME KNOW IF YOU SEE THAT BAD BOY!!!! LOL
Hi Steve, glad you are back. Now I can get some sleep tonight! Great video. Mickey
What, are you using my videos as a sleep aide? LOL.
No, I was worried about you. I need my daily video fix to keep calm. Mickey
Well done, both the video and the catching.
Thanks. Did you guys make it down. Winds were pretty bad.
No, it was way too windy to try any open water trips. We made two full day trips into Whitewater Bay and had a fantastic time (3 videos up and one more to be published). Even with the winds, we were fairly well protected where we were fishing.

Yea, April has been brutal. Rough days ahead as well.
I figured it was the "Hookers and the Coke'. good to see you safe and sound.
Binge fishing. Went on a bender. LOL.
Sweet footage of the tarpon and nice jack! 👏👍

Nice vid, hecka jealous! Also great slo mo footage!
Thanks. Glad you liked it.
Awesome
it was. Thanks for watching it.
That Jack was impressive.
Yea, I was surprised that big dude was inshore like that. Usually don't see that size around here.
Great Tarpon action Steve and a nice Jack also! Cool video man!
Yea, i was surprised about that Jack. We generally don't get them that size down here in the inshore areas.
I've been going through withdraw!!! Thanks for posting!!
Yea, had to wait for the winds to back down a bit.
great vid! loved it
Thanks for checking it out.
hey a shot you an email the other day, I'm not sure if you got it or not but it was just a few questions about the price of living in key west.
that fish was soooo beautiful
That they are. When you see them up close and in the sun, it is like diamonds.
I enjoyed your video :) Keep it up!
Appreciate it. Thanks for watching.
Nice one there brother. Some good size fish in that channel. Hopefully we can keep the sharks off them this year.
Yea, already had that one eaten at night. I kind of backed off of them because of that. Looking to hit the harbor soon. Gotta figure out a good on the water Pinfish spot.

man I hate storms and squalls on the water! nice fish
Just think of them as a fresh water wash down.
Man that jack was taking you for quite a ride.
Got the spinsys. Thought it was a shark the whole time.
Wuuuaoo nice video
Glad you liked it Chuchin.
love those Shimano rods!
Yea, hard to beat them.
Be carriful with flash bro! Always when I fishing and beginning to rain... I go back fast to beach...
Fresh water rinse down. Summer time is when the dangerous stuff passes through.
BEAST!
Hugh Mungus.
Nice job brother!
Appreciate it. They should be heading your way soon.
Nice work on the poon. You went for a Nantucket sleigh ride, nice....big Jack, 50 cent a pound wholesale money in the bank....
Thanks. Saves a lot of gas if they go in the right directions. LOL. You can keep those Jacks. Talk about too much hard work. LOL. Better than a gym membership so I will off set it with that.
Huge fish dude..... with Sharks and all. I was feeling nervy seeing your leg dangling near the water... lol
Yea, they are everywhere. Just like dogs. Always nosy and looking for a hand out.
Nice!
Thanks Will.
Good to see ya back. Aliex was worried about you and wouldn't stop texting me.I figured you took a mini vacation or in jail for whatever. lol
Winds blew me to Cuba. Had to wait for some south winds to send me back. LOL. Just a good time to take a break with all the April winds.
Ok how big would you say that Tarpon was? 125 plus? Good to see you are back wetting a line. Stay safe
It was definitely plus 100. I will be looking for a high hundred fish this season.
Silver freight train. Congrats.
That they are. Sleigh rides for days.
Have you seen the new Sennheiser gopro mic? I think it would be perfect for you.
Is it waterproof. My stuff has to be IPX-8.
Dang.. The Sennheiser MKE2 is rated to IPX-7 Hopefully the next model is!
Welcome back Steve, I thought a tarpon took you all the way to Cuba
Nah, I just rode the wind. Had to wait for a South wind to make it back. LOL.
That was a big old mother!
Yea, the bigger ones should start showing up soon. Twice the size.
crazy storm haha. good to seeya back in action!
Yea, the wind has been brutal all of April. May should see some clear skies and a lot of action.

Windy days. Brutal. Blew me all the way to Cuba. LOL.
A life time goal for me from a kayak,,,,,,,,, and the other one is a sturgeon

HE'S ALIVE!!
Back from the wind.
Where you been bro? Missed you!!
The horrible winds.
This vidios was o must a year ago didn't c it before RUclips s wiar
great video Steve, great tarpon. People pay thousands of $$ to catch a silver king and you get paid for fishing lol. Nice Jack Crevelle.... cook and eat the dam thing, I bet is tasty, haha
That one was just too big for eating. Ill do one with a smaller one.
What type of bait u use ?
Holy Geez! How long were you fighting that Tarpon?
Also, if you were to keep him, what would you do with all that meat? Sell it locally?
Usually takes about a half an hour or so. Give or take.
How come you never attempt to land them?
At some point in the fight you've got to ask yourself, what's good for the fish?
What Randall said. I don't particularly like to take them to the point that they are broken. Not worth killing any.
I thought so, I'm so used to freshwater because we never have that problem. Only happens rarely, usually because the fish happens to be very old. Or when them sissy trout. I've had em die before I even started reelin
oh your back i thought you just died
I did. Just changed my mind.
lol
i thought the sharks got u in your Kayak. i was bummed i did not have any good fishing videos to watch lol
nah, just the winds being bad for two weeks. Took a break.
Dude. I would shit my pants if I hooked one of these in a kayak!
Monster sábalo Steve ..I going comercial homie c ya soon want go kayak w u but not show on cámaras 🎥 just fishing 🎣
I’d give you four thumbs up but I don’t want to be turned in again
Go for sailfish or marlin some time !!!
Sailfish just ended and it has been too windy to get out. The big Sportsfish guys got them though. Don't get too many Marlin around here because the Gulf Stream is so far out.
i love your videos but you need a mic 👍
Thanks for watching but you need to stop being helpless and use your volume control.
