    Good tip on needing the spike washers. I learned the hard way myself too. Also it's noteworthy that some cars came with different thread screws to hold the striker!!. One car I had. The passenger side was one thread and the driver side was another thread. GM - anything to save a buck

    Great videos! I have a 62 convertible I am restoring as I drive. I'll be replacing the driver's rear quarter so I'm anxious to see your content for the respective work on this car. The videos you did with the 62 hard top were helpful too. I rebuilt the door hinges on my 62. Great breakdown of that job. Looking forward to your future content!

    Classic industries is just a retail seller just like the rest of classic parts sellers they don't fabricate there own parts.

    Hi, I have original 64 doors and I can’t get them to align up with the front lower rocker. It seems I can’t go all the way forward with them. Any suggestions? Thanks. 14:29

      aftermarket door ? prior collision ? prior work - somebody replaced the quarter panel or rockers, one of those is where the problem would be my guess.

    After you install new floors will the body hold its alignment without being on the frame? I had a 1929 Ford Model A roadster pickup and the way you got the doors to fit was placing a shim(s) between the body bottom and the frame. The body was so flexible if you had the right shims you just tightened the body bolts down and it would draw the door into alignment. 40 years later these convertibles weren’t that much better!

      @guzzifabrication3448  Год назад +1

      Pretty much any convertible off the frame will have some amount of flexation, we'll see....

    You showed 3 different bolts there for the hinge. The first one had like a serrated washer. Then explaining the kit there are 2 different bolts there too. I know the larger in diameter washer bolts go from hinge to cowl. Where do the smaller diameter washer and serrated edge washer one go? There are 3 different bolts?

    • @guzzifabrication3448
      @guzzifabrication3448  Год назад

      It's just a conparision of hardware, always try to use the factory bolts. Thanks for watching !

    Poor quality reproduction classic parts are manufactured in china the good reproduction parts are dynacorn but some retail sellers dont specify the manufacturer be aware.
