Great to see you again brother!!!! Another great video.....I sure appreciate them....I know we all look forward to seeing them....right on!!!..God bless
Damn. Where was this video a week or 2 ago. Lol. Just did my 63 frame as well. Mine is on air ride. And it’s sitting an inch off the ground from the frame.
Dang, brother, that is so exciting watching the frame come together. Looks awesome 👌. Watching the process is very helpful ty for all your work on bringing these Classics back to life. Have a glorious weekend, brother.
Is there any chance that you might have footage of the repair process to the body mount points? Your videos are awesome. Thanks for the great work and for explaining the detail.
Never understood why some people put a chassis together then paint the entire thing (bolts, hardware and all) one color. Factory finishes are the best.
So many details, thanks for posting. Do you know if that bracket is necessary above the rear end? It spans across the frame. I heard it’s a support bracket for the gas tank but I’m not sure.
@@guzzifabrication3448 my bad I should hav been more clear. How does the gear box detach from the pitman arm. Do you know any tricks on gettin that off? Thanks Brotha 💪
@christopher ortiz you have to use a ball joint separator they are pretty inexpensive there is a tie rod ball joint separator and a regular ball joint separator you want to get the correct width
Great video and very helpful! What spring compressor were you using for the front springs? Handling compressed spring is nerve wracking for me. I've seen holes in shop walls from springs getting mishandled. Also, what did you use to refinish the hardware for the rear suspension?
That one is an OEM brand compressor, I really try to avoid using spring compressors..... very scary tool to use..... the rear suspension was media blasted, epoxy primed and painted. Thanks for watching !!
@@guzzifabrication3448 Thanks for the info! I was actually curious how you refinished the nuts, bolts, and washers for the rear suspension. Do you do your own zinc/cad plating? Refinishing fasteners is something I'm trying to improve my abilities on.
Every bolt that is tighten! the power coat got cracked and that where the problem starts! 32 years of experience talking! I did sandblasting for that long!! @@guzzifabrication3448
Why not powder coat? It's the most durable as far as I know. I'm asking a legit question: What are the cons? I'm getting ready to send my chassis off to get done. What is a better way to go, and why is it better?
amazing video 💪
Thank you Sir !

I don't, I just cut out the top damaged area and welded in a new piece, drilled out the appropriate size with a metal hole saw.
Nice work! One comment... final tightening of the control arm bushings should be when car is at final ride height.
Enjoying your videos.
Thanks for the input

Only took 58 years n finely someone put a chrome cap on after doing the brakes 🇺🇲

Great question, yes it's a support, if you have it definitely use it. Thanks for the comment !
Where did you buy your rear trailing arm bushings? Any part number would be great
Sorry that was a couple of years ago, probably purchased from classic industries
Power Assist. You think it’s worth using the power assist? How did you get that steering gear box off? Where does it detach? At the bushing?
3 bolts hold the gear box on and the pitman joint. Power assist..... induvidual preference..... they always seem to leak.....
