Good to have you onboard Cylume! Are you mostly using custom samples or the expansion samples on your Maschine plus?
@@MattiasHolmgren Although I have a lot of non-NI samples, I'm currently only using NI expansions on Maschine for now.

for live performances just use the 2 Outputs on M+ connected to a pioneer DJM-450 mixer, so I can seemlesly take advantage of the DJM Slider in order to mix differnt groups associated with selected outputs and finally i can mix with the onboard effects and additionally adding effects with the pioneer rmx-1000 ipad app. With an 4way class compliant ios output interface you could use 4 outputs with a 4 way mixer.

What's your favourite live rig setup for electronic music?
Hey man. I'm seriously considering this groovebox but how did it hold up in a live performance? I'm a bit unsure about all the rumours of it being a bit unpredictable!
Hey Jack, Maschine+ is sick gear, love it. But yes you have to practise your live performance first and see if it holds up. I did not have any hickups during my gigs so far with the Maschine+. But I did have issues at some point during assembling the songs for live performance. While adding instruments and fx. Cant recall exactly but I think it froze the device and i had to reboot. But it has never happened when just performing a song.
Hey Mattias. Thanks for replying. In the time since we spoke I bought one, fell in love with it, and had my heart broken in two because of it!
It proved useless for me: repeated freezing, crashes, unable to even browse its own sounds, and maxing out the CPU with only one sample and Monark synth loaded. 🥴
So, she went back. A very frustrating experience, sadly.
Does Maschine+ has ableton link (in standalnoe mode)?
Yes as long as its on thr same wifi network you can enable Ableton Link sync.

Nice video and good song. When you play live, how do you segway to another song so that there no silent. Can maschine automatically load the next song.
Hi MIchel, thanks! 🙏 Maschine+ requires to load each project. It takes a few sec, it's quite quick though if you're not working with uber long samples. There are a few things you can do if load times is an issue (and you don't want to tell a joke for the crowd 😋) :
#1. Song A (sounds / loops) on Group 1, song B on Group 2 etc. So you just swap groups for the next song. But it only works to some extent, ie tempo will be same (might need to be changed).
#2. Use a secondary music device to bridge the load times with some sounds, Maybe another synth to trigger some ambience, intro melody etc.

I think this is something that NI should add to Maschine, a set list where it loads or pre load the next projet. I had work with Apple MainStage once and it has the option of set list and segway to the next projet which was great.
I guess we could write to NI and suggest a set list feature.
Noticing that antelope mixer on your screen if I’m correct 🤓
Almost, its a audio interface. The audio interface to the right of thr Maschine Plus is a Arturia Audio Fuse 8pre which is hooked via ADAT to my main audio interface - Zen Tour (Antelope Audio). So I have plenty of I/O. I do have a mixer in the background but I dunno if it was visible in the clip, its an Mackie VLZ16channel 4bus, but I dont use it much these days, only when recording real acoustic drums.🎉😂
@@MattiasHolmgren nice! Yeah I recognize the mixer software cause I use the zen tour synergy tour for my live and studio setup these days along with the maschine plus. The routing options have been really great.
